We usually called it "whipped" cream, when we beat pure cream with an old-fashioned, el-cheapo, non-electric eggbeater, which works on operator's elbow grease, last seen in a British television comedy called 'Hello, 'Hello, until the cream thickened & stood up in peaks. I've still got one. Aren't we talking about the same thing?

No, absolutely not — this is what clotted cream is!  

Back on topic... chocolate chip pancakes? Probably a yum, though I've never tried them.

Matcha (green tea) ice cream? 

........very tentative yum. Matcha is normally too strong and grassy for me, but I find it more palatable in creamy concoctions.

Lapsang Souchong?

Yum! If it's good quality, at least. (A certain famous tea brand in the UK has fairly recently changed the recipe of its Lapsang Souchong — renaming it "Distinctively Smoky" — and it now tastes awful. )

Earl Grey tea? 

Yum!

Sounds pleasantly interesting, so I say Yum!
