Classical can be lovely 

I very much appreciated the lovely card I received from my husband on our 53rd wedding anniversary, today. 

If that's true happy anniversary!! 

Thank you for your good wishes, when it is completely true that 1st May 2024 was my 53rd wedding anniversary. 

53 years of marriage is a completely wonderful achievement — congratulations!!  

As years go by it all seems like yesterday 

Yesterday was a very busy day, when today, we had a family get together at lunch, with our own daughters and my husband's nephew. 

I'm looking forward to seeing my family again when I go to Australia next month! 

Why am I so sleepy again?

I must resist my weekend sleepy urges tomorrow when I'm due to serve at morning tea at church, in the morning. 

It's a little funny when I think of it that the word serve can apply with equal ease to food or tennis courts...

Here in Britain, when the Wimbledon tennis tournament is held in June, it's traditional to eat fresh strawberries and cream while watching the tennis!

I remember when people used to put real natural strawberries into shakes, but now people use artificial flavors.

Not all flavours are sweet, for instance, umami, bland, sour or bitter, like lemon juice. 

Without the correct seasonings food is rather bland.
