Sometimes, when one orders items from overseas, the cost of the postage is greater than the cost of the goods!

The cost of living in the US has risen dramatically since 2000; and yet today, more than ever, Americans have free access to life necessities - shelter, food, and clothing.

While food shortages are a concern with an ever growing world population, the world has more readily available food today than we've had for the majority of history.

Studying my family history, I discovered my great-great grandfather's funeral was conducted by a Methodist chaplain from the Boer War.

It is no secret that the bridegroom at the first European wedding in newly founded Hobart, Tasmania, on 18/3/1804, was my Great-great-great-grandfather.

I received a plaque on Friday, bearing the name of my great-great grandfather, a Wesleyan minister.

Unfortunately an old Wesleyan church in my city was demolished after the biggest earthquake, after a contractor misinterpreted the instruction to clear away the part that had fallen onto the road.

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."

Was the Christchurch Wesleyan church rebuilt, after that contractor mistake, you mentioned, when the Christchurch Anglican equivalent has only been replaced, so far, by the so-called "Cardboard Cathedral"? (picture underneath)

My youngest daughter is very creative with cardboard, playing and doing craft with it - once she even made a robot out of it!

It is indeed creative for your daughter to build a cardboard robot, bells, whistles & all, but surely a whole cathedral needs to be more durable?

Parmesan cheese is a tasty topping for pasta.

To the future, to the past - anywhere provided it's together.

How tasty is a lovely piping hot casserole for dinner, on a cold, wet and wintry night with a gale blowing!
