Do. I try to get the free morning bus & train newspaper's crossword and easy sudoku done before I arrive at work.
Have to pop a mug of coffee or tea into the microwave to reheat after letting it get lukewarm while distracted by something?

Do not, as a rule. These days for local travel we use Opal cards, a similar arrangement to London's Oyster cards.

Do, unless the TV is already on or I don't have the remote. Although, I typically don't want to watch anything at all and just curl up with a book.
