My least favorite holiday is...

Valentine's Day. . . it just serves as a painful reminder to those of us who are alone, just how lonely we are. And I'm pretty sure that it was invented by people at greeting card companies as a way to steal your money.

Hallowe'en. I live in fear of gangs of kids throwing eggs at the windows if I don't answer the door. (Didn't happen last night... phew)

By the way, I agree with the sentiments about Valentine's Day. It reminds me of the episode of The Simpsons in which a nurse at Grandpa Simpson's nursing home staples a picture of a cherub over the top of a picture of a Santa pinned to the wall.

Any of the Kardashians. Apart from one, or was it two or three?, managing to be pregnant the same time as the Duchess of Cambridge, what exactly do they do to be 'celebrities'? Sing? Dance? Act in a long running family soap opera of their own making? Work in a company producing events paraphernalia, or write articles for a daily newspaper? Espouse charitable causes? Hand out awards & titles? Fly rescue missions, or represent their country in some way?

Your least favourite routine end of year chore?

I don't think I really have any that have to be done at the end of every year... Maybe cleaning up all the Christmas decorations, but that usually happens after the new year.

Your least favourite type of sweet?

One of the tougher ones right there I guess I would say mint patties... but there aren't many sweets I dislike

Horror.

My favourite book: Probably The Horse And His Boy.

My least favourite book : Most of Charles Dickens. The stories may be good but like a lot of Victorian authors, he seems to spend a lot of time waffling about details that have little relevance to what's going on and aren't very interesting in themselves. (Just my opinion!)

My least favourite Christmas present I've ever received...

A sketchpad.....one that had seen better days (must've been left out in the rain at one point and most of the pages were already written on ).
