Because you can't mark the air in lines, tell the drivers of air cars to keep to one side and not overtake, put up mandatory speed signs or warn of dangerous conditions ahead, like other cars.

Because they're all running late for their appointments and all end up rushing to the same stretches of road, slowing things down for everyone else.

People like to talk about the weather because as it annoys everyone, it can be discussed politely, deflecting controversial topics or intrusive personal histories.

It's because of the Last Supper, taking place so shortly before the Crucifixion. It took place on a Friday, and there were 13 men present--Jesus and the 12 disciples. Combine the two and, for some people, that's unlucky.
Why do movies and TV shows almost always shove in an unnecessary romance?

Because in the northern hemisphere, going north means getting farther and farther from the Equator. And sometimes, those of us in the northern hemisphere forget that this isn't true all around the world.
