1. Theatre (my first operatic leading role took place in the Rowntree Theatre in York, England, on the site of the Rowntree chocolate factory. All the way through the show there was the pervading smell of Kit-Kats.)
2. I have a very wide-ranging taste in music, so I have different favourites in each genre. In opera, Gilbert and Sullivan (writing/composing team rather than performers). In instrumental classical music, Debussy (also a composer). In secular rock, Pink Floyd. In Christian rock, DA (aka Daniel Amos). In jazz, probably Dave Brubeck. I have other favourites in other styles but I can't bring them to mind at the moment. (I heard a fantastic country band a while ago but I have no idea what they were called. I think they came from Scottsdale, AZ.)
3. Which period in history would you most like to visit?
1. Max McLean (stars in the one man show about CS Lewis and The Screwtape Letters)
2. New Testament time period. I would love to hear Jesus preach.
3. What is a favorite place for you to visit on holiday?
Love God, love people
1. Don McLean. (Singer of "American Pie".)
2. Probably the mountains, but the beach is a very close second!
3. If you were going to live in Narnia as a non-human, what would you be? (Animal, wood spirit, et cetera.)
1. Don Knotts
2. A dryad I think. I love how they brought them to life the movie and I think they are very cool. (What a great question!)
3. Same question
Love God, love people
1. Knotts Berry Farm
2. So boring, but I think I'd also pick Dryad! You're a beautiful wood spirit, you get to float around anywhere you want as petals on the breeze, always the first to know about current affairs, etc!
3. What Christmas cookies have you eaten this season?
"Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you!"
- Dr. Seuss
1. Harvest Hustle*
2. Do Tim Tams count? I didn't really eat many Christmas cookies this year because of stomach pain. (Which has thankfully since cleared up!) It was sad.
3. What's your favorite way to relax?
(Game I used to play years and years ago on a website called Pixie Hollow.)
1. Harvest moon
2. Thinking up letters and answers for Narnia Hangman, and doing some of the games in that section is one of my favourite ways to relax, would you believe?
3. What are your favourite board games?
(Wow Rose-Tree Dryad! I didn't know you could get Tim-Tams so far from Australia. They were first made by a Newcastle bakery firm called Arnotts which is still in operation here in Sydney.)
1. Shine On
2. I'm hoping it will be a game that I've contributed towards on Kickstarter called "Santorini". One of the game characters was my suggestion, and even looks a bit like me!
3. What's your favourite ride at the fairground?
1. "Shine Your Light On Me" by Andrew Peterson
2. I'm actually not a big fan of rides at the fairground, but I guess I like the Ferris Wheel and the Carousel, so long as I don't get sick.
3. What was the last book you read or the one you are reading now and do/did you enjoy it?

1. "Love is a Good Thing"
2. I'm currently reading The Story of the Trapp Family Singers, which I am enjoying very much.
3. Why did you chose the avatar and/or signature you are currently using?
Some days you battle yourself and other monsters. Some days you just make soup.
1. "Love is an Open Door"
2. Oh wow, let me think... I believe I was searching for old paintings of rose gardens when I was planning to join the forum, looking for something I might use for graphics, and one that I found seemed way too "rose-tree dryad-ish" to pass up! It's called In the Rose Garden by Henry John Yeend King. The girl also looks a little like me, which seemed helpful since people tend to imagine you looking a bit like your avatar.
3. Same question!
(I was surprised when I saw them in my local Target store as well, wagga! So far I've had the original, dark chocolate, caramel, and mint flavors. What a wonderful gift Australia has given to the rest of the world. )
1. "Wuv, twue wuv & mawwiage".
2. I changed my avatar to something about horses two or three years ago when NarniaWeb organised a competition and I was in the horse team. I liked the avatar and kept it, as a reminder of our Bree & Hwin-like Walers and the Lighthorsemen who fought in WW1. Besides I'm a bit of a dunce when it comes to graphics. The signature I changed when we were discussing Melusine and LOTGK, not at first realising Melusine's current events ramifications or the depths of C.S.Lewis' knowledge of English history, especially "the Ethelreds, Egberts and things".
3. Same question.
(Rose-Tree Dryad, could I please ask if your Tim Tams were marketed under the Arnotts brand, and if so, are there any of their other biscuits on display? We already know that Campbell's Soups bought out Arnotts. On January 26th - Australia Day- that would be a good time to treat yourself to some Tim Tams, and anything else you might find.)
1. "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die."
2. I love my little dog.
3. What is your favorite snack food?
So interesting about Campbell's buying Arnott's. I found some at our local grocery store, Kroger. I had only had them once before when a co-worker went to Australia and brought some back.
Love God, love people
1. Ben Barnes.
2. Hmmm... right now, it's probably a toss-up between 85% dark chocolate and vanilla-flavored almond butter. Yum.
3. Same question!
I'll be sure to mark my calendar, wagga. I'll take a look and see if there are any other Arnotts products the next time I'm at that store! If there's anything interesting, I'll post about it in Food for Thought.
1. Jimmy Barnes -"Working class man"
2. Er...Tim tams? Though packets of salted Australian macadamia nuts or smoked almonds are also nice munchies.
3. Same question.
