2. Easily the most exciting place I have ever been to was when we took a plane flight to Antarctica and back on New Year's Eve, 2006. The aeroplane was decorated up for a New Year's party, and we got to see Antarctica's Ross Sea littoral under the midnight sun. When we got back, tired but exhilarated, his family told my husband that he was on the national news as midnight struck.
