At this, the Balrog himself screamed and, to Jen's confusion, began to shrink. Soon, he was the size of a kitten, but he dared one last lunge at Jen. But before he made it to her knees, something whacked him.

"Mom!" Jen gasped as she scanned her mother who was holding a candy cane bat.

"Hurray, dear, and grab the phone!" Cayley warned her daughter as she handed her the purple phone.

"Okay," Jen said, looking at the phone, "He said there would be further instructions on the phone."
On the phone was taped a piece of paper. It read, "To free your friends, defeat the Balrog, and your friends will appear before you."
"But I already did that!" Jen looked around. They were no where to be seen.

"Well, er, actually, honey, it's still here, but not at a Balrog..." Cayley explained with a sorry-looking complexion.
Sure enough, Jen whirled around to see that where the Balrog had landed from the impact of the bat was now a small plant. At first, it was very small, but then it started growing larger and larger.
Before either Jen or Cayley could react, the quickly-growing plant grabbed their ankles and lured them in!

Jen and Cayley screamed in unison as they were pulled into the air. But Jen saw what Cayley didn't see -

That the plant was starting to whirl them around in circles!
Around and around they spun. Both of them felt completely hopeless, as they were unable to move. But as Jen looked at the "arm" of the plant that was holding her, she noticed--

that it was striped purple.
"You've got to be joking!" she screamed.

Jen's mom looked at her. She yelled to her, "Whats the matter, honey? Have you discovered something?"

~Riella

"Mom, we've been off all along!" Jen called to her mother. "This isn't a plant! It's turning into a another phone booth! We've been tricked!"

Jen reached for the knife in her belt and began to hack away at the striped "arm" of the plant.
Cayley, meanwhile, pushed at the plant to try to get them free.
Jen began to saw away at the plant and was getting on well when suddenly -

The knife cut through the arm! Jen dropped to the ground. She landed, hard. Looking to the side, she could see the striped plant-arm sitting next to her.

Jen screamed so loud she almost hurt her own hearing.
Cayley screamed louder.
Toma and Sam screamed even louder than that.

After screaming for about an hour or so, they realized that it wasn't really doing them any good.
The arm on the ground didn't move. It was as if it had never been alive. It just sat on the ground limply, like a soaked water reed.

Finally, Jen realized that she and her mom weren't alone. "Sam, Tom, you're back!"

Sam nodded and commented, "I thought I'd never be free of that prison! But thank's to this guy..." Sam acknowledged the star Jen had met, who now was a...

Bird.
Jen gasped. "What happened to you?"

The bird transformed again.

"Whew! good to be back to my normal self."

For right in front of everybody stood a frog-dragon!
