"I will help you out!" a new voice called to them. They turned around. Standing at the other side of the room was a giant tortoise. He was 5 feet tall, and smiling at them, waiting for them to respond.

without a word, Sam pulled himself and Jen onto the tortoise and it galloped away. As it ran, it yelled, "My name is Click!"
Jen told him their names.
They ran below the shadow of Alice-Jane and Steve, high above them in the air.

"Let me take a guess, they turned you into a wolf didn't they?" Click asked Sam. Sam nodded. "I feel your pain, bud. Luckily I found that Potion of Speed or else We'd all be in quite a mess.
"How'd the roof start on fire, anyway?" Jen asked.

Click smiled. "I started the fire."
Jen gaped at him. "Why?"
Click said, "I wanted to meet you both. And, it's a good thing I did. I can help you, Sam."

Sam and Jen raised their eyebrows. "Can you... turn me back into a human?" Sam asked.
They wondered how a tortoise could do such a thing. And even if he could, how could they trust someone who would set fire to a mansion just to meet someone?

"Sadly no. I can't do that. If I could I would have changed myself back to normal, but..."

".....I can help you control your fate."
Sam looked at him. "What?"
Click smiled. "Come with me."

And the giant tortoise started galloping away. After a while Click said, "We can slow down now that we're away from those vampires."
"Who were they anyway?" asked Sam. "They, my friend, are the..."

".....Evil Ones who want to kill you. They are not related to you."

Sam smiled. "That's a relief. They freaked me out."

Jen looked ahead and screamed.

Right in front of them was a giant caterpillar with evil, glowing red eyes. It called out, "Stay where you are prisoners, or else meet death face to face. I may spare your life yet, if only you will do me one favor--"
"What favor would that be?" Click asked.
The caterpillar (who's name was Jonoby) replied --

"Give me the girl and I will let you go free."

Jen went pale.

Sam's face suddenly rippled and he turned back into a human.

Hi looked down at himself in happy astonishment. "I'm human again! I'm human!" he cried.

Jen tugged on his arm "Thats very nice...but how are we going to get away from this caterpillar?"

Jonoby the Caterpillar flopped over to Jen and reached for her.
Jen screamed.
Sam punched Jonoby right in the face. Jonoby fell, out cold.

Jen threw her arms around Sam "Thank you!" she planted a kiss on his cheek

"Yick!" Cried Sam, and moved her away "Thanks for the thanks but did you have ki-

"LOOK!" Cried the turtle and he pointed to....

Jonoby, rising from the ground, rubbing his head.
"I Will kill you, Sam!" he cried.
Jen screamed. Then she fainted.
