....."that you are a ghost."

Sam stared at her. "What?"
Jen smiled and Sam shivered in a sudden chill that came in the air.

"How can I be a ghost?" he asked. "I could almost believe you're a ghost, since you came out of those spots. But how can I be a ghost when I am standing here in the flesh?"

Jen laughed then.
To Sam's surprise, he found the laugh to be a cold, cruel laugh. This was not the Jen that he knew. This was a fake.

"Who are you?" he asked. "Where did you come from? What do you want? What do you mean by trying to convince me I'm a ghost?"

~Riella

Jen said,"I am Jen's ghost. Jen is dead."
Sam tried to touch her face but his hand went right through her. He screamed.

When he stopped screaming and opened his eyes, he realized it had all been a dream. Jen was standing over him. "Are you alright?" she asked. "What's the matter?"

~Riella

Sam was lying on his back on the ground. Goo was no where to be seen. Jen looked worried.
"What has happened?" Sam was bewildered. They were in the same clearing that they had been in before any of these things had happened.

"Um, I think you may have eaten some of this fruit in your hand here..." Jen said gently.
"This what?" Sam peered at his hand. Inside his tightly clenched fist he found a great many berries that were a deep purple and the juice was staining his skin to a dark violet color. "Where-... Where did I get this?" he wondered aloud.

"The berries are growing on this tree beside us," said Jen. "You ate some and then passed out for two days! I don't think they are safe to eat."
Sam sat up, rubbing his aching head and groaning. "Ugh, I have had some terrible dreams!"

"Have you?" she asked. "Because... so have I. And I haven't had any berries..." She looked at Sam worriedly.

Sam noticed that Jen's face was pale.

"Jen?"

Jen suddenly fainted. Sam tried to revive her, but to no avail.

Sam felt panicked. What could he do? He must figure out what had made her faint. It wasn't the berries... what could it be? Suddenly he realized...

that he smelled really bad. why was that? or wait.....it wasn't him. it was a bush that was beside them. it smelled really fragrant, in a sort of dreamy way. Sam tried to fight it, but he, too, felt himself black out.....

His dreams were filled with odd things...things about spotted zebras, berries, Jen in danger...
Suddenly he woke. Then, he realized it was a week later! He had been asleep an entire week!

He saw that the sky was black. Strange ships were flying in the air. Zombies were roaming the streets throwing objects at people. Ant Lions flew through the air tormenting people. A long way off was a tall building; it had a bright blue stream of something that looked like fire (only it was blue) streaming up into the clouds.
