A huge blue dragon was burning up a town! The army was shooting cannons at the blue dragon but they weren't doing much good.... I'll save the the town! The pink elephant yelled!

Suddenly the pink elephant grew wings and flew over the dragon, spraying pepper spray into its eyes. "AHHHHHH!!!" the dragon yelled, "WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DO THAT????" then he ran away from the elephant, because he was scared. "Phew!" Jen said, "that was a close one! Now can we go???"

"Yes," said the Platypus, "but first- here, Sam, toss this Cheerio into the lake you dropped your book in, right there beside you."
"Cheerio?!" exclaimed Sam, but obeyed and threw the Cheerio into the lake. "Um, OK?"
Suddenly the lake erupted in an enormous splash a mile high and in the center of the splash a huge tree was growing and on a branch extending towards them was-

a human! the tree was a human! Sam gasped. But the tree only laughed. "I am he called Clam," said the tree.

"This is getting weirder by the moment!!!" Jen said, shrinking back from the human called Clam. "Hello there! Are you friend or foe?" Sam called. "I am a friend. You have been through much in this world, now it is high time you go back to your own. Abra cadabra!" Clam said. And then....

Sam and Jen found themselves alone in a forest with no one but themselves and Clam. everyone else was gone as if they had been nothing but a dream.
Jen stared in shock and then promptly fainted.
Sam yelled at Clam: "What have you done?"

"It wasn't my fault, idiot!" Clam said, for Sam was getting on his nerves. "Jen! Jen, wake up!" Sam said, but in vain. Clam immediately snapped his fingers and Jen woke up. "Where are we?" she said in a daze. "We are in the forests of China." Clam said. "China??" Sam said.

Clam laughed, but it wasn't a nice laugh. "Just pullin' your leg, man," he said to Sam. "No, we are in the forests of Chani. It is nothing like China."

Jen groaned in pure agony and fainted again.
Sam glared at Clam. "You are so shellfish", he growled, then hurriedly corrected what he said, "I mean selfish, you're selfish".
"Why?" asked Clam.
"Because you're just toying with us, taking us here!!!"

"You do not know what this place is like," said Clam. "Well, what is it like?" said Sam. "You'll find out as we go along." Clam went too far. Sam was pushed over the edge. "You know what??? I don't care what you say, I am taking Jen back to her home! I don't care what any of you want, some stupid book or something, I am leaving! NOW!" Sam yelled in Clam's face.

Clam smiled, his smile full of hidden anger and meanness.
"Fine, go. You'll never find your way out of the forests of Chani!"
Sam lifted the comatose Jen in his arms and ran as fast as he could away from Clam. As he ran, Clam's laughter rang through the forest like a demon in a nightmare.

"Man that guy is creepy!" Sam thought as he ran along. He saw a light at the end of the forest ahead, and ran to it. But when he got there it disappeared! "huh?" Sam thought. "Maybe I was just imagining it." So he kept running. It was getting dark fast, and there was a lot of scary sounds coming from the trees and ground around him.

Jen groaned in Sam's arms. "Sam?" she whispered.
"Jen?" Sam didn't stop running, but he hugged Jen tighter.

Jen turned into a mini Clam! Sam screamed, stopping abruptly and dropping the tiny Clam on the ground like he was a rat. "What? HUh? Where is Jen??"
