"No! You can't it's too dark and its a shear drop."
"Are you alright?" Jenine called.
"My arm, I think its broke!" Ahhgg!" He winced in pain.

Jenine leaned out over the pit. it was too dark to see Sam, and she was scared. night was falling.

She felt aweful. If she knew a practical joke would lead to this mess she would never have done it. It grew very cold as the night went on.
"Sam!" she called a few hours later, but there was no answer. Terror built up within her heart.

Sam lay on the cold floor of the pit, in a glazed shock. His arm hurt so bad, and he was almost unconscious now. "Jenine..." he whispered before fading away.

Jenine was so very scared. Then...

the leprechaun came up beside Jenine and whispered in her ear:
"I will grant you three wishes."
Jenine turned and said:

"Three wishes? Oh I wish for Sam to be beside me!" she cried

"Sam is just beyond the hill in front of you." said the leprechaun.
Jenine shivered as she began toward the hill. The leprechaun did not follow.
She glanced back. "Aren't you coming? I still have two wishes left you know."

The leprechaun pursed his lips and stomped his feet, saying curtly "When you wish to wish again...call me" he then disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Jenine was surprised but turned back toward the hill and trudged to the stop. When she arrived there she was exhausted but gasped as a magical land lay on the other side. It was beautiful...and there was a castle in the distance. But then she saw a figure running toward her....

It was Sam limping as fast as he could. "There you are!" he shouted relieved. Jenine paced her way up to Sam and caught him into her grasp.

"The castle is a bit too far for your injured leg Sam." Jenine prompted Sam onto soft grass as she speculated more of this magical land. A waterfall was not a long way ahead. At the top Jenine could have sworn she saw lights flicker. She wondered whoever was there could help with Sam's leg.

Sam groaned and sunk to the grass, drifting his eyes to the far off castle. "I guess we won't be going there"

Jenine then gripped his arm and brought him to his unsteady feat. "Look over there Sam. At the waterfall. Don't you see lights atop it? I'm sure someone must be up there"

He squinted. "I don't know...I'm not sure I could make it up there"

Jenine thought, if that leprechaun were here, I could wish Sam well again.
Just then, the leprechaun was standing there in front of her.
"I wish Sam's leg was healed!" Jenine said at once.
and it was as she wished.

Sam smiled and threw his arms around Jenine, giving her a big hug. "Thanks! Hey now we can head for that castle!'

The leprechaun scrunched his nose at being ignored than chuckled and disappeared once more.

"Wait, if he can grant wishes then how many more wishes do you have left?" Sam asked. "We could have wished to be at the castle by now."

Jenine chuckled. "What a great idea Sam. Wishing to be in a castle when we don't know who even lives there. It could be a mean monster for all we know. Let's ask for help."

Jenine took her friends arm and lead the way towards the waterfall.

"But Jenine!" he protested "You don't even know if though lights you saw were real. Shouldn't we just think about this?"

Jenine looked at him "I'm just trying to help! It's very stupid to go to a castle without knowing who lives there"

Suddenly they bother heard a trumpet blast...and from the bottom of the hill a armed group of horses came toward them.

Jenine did the first thing that came to her mind. She thought of the leprechaun.....and he appeared. "I wish we were at the castle!" she said, gripping Sam's arm.
