One of the leprechauns hit him in the head and he fell, unconscience. Jenine kept screaming. Another leprechaun hit her, and she fell, out cold. As soon as she stopped screaming, the leprechaun shower stopped.

When Sam awoke, all was still. He groggily opened first one eye, and then the other. His head spun and he was acutely aware of a distinct throbbing in his forehead. Weakly, he got up from the ground and looked around him. In a flash, everything that had happened flooded back to him. He jumped up and, forgetting his pain, shouted, "JEANIE!!!!!!!!!!!"
"You needn't shout," a calm, melodious voice spoke from behind him. He turned around slowly, looking at the ground. His eye caught a glimpse of a long, silken, blue skirt. Very, very slowly, he lifted his eyes and stopped. There, before him, stood...

Jenine. But she looked creepy and her face had an evil look on it. She reached to Sam with her hands and Sam gasped. Her hands were black like ash and her fingernails had knives in them.

"Umm...do you know you have like knives in your like fingernails and your skin in like ash black??" Sam asked as he stumbled over a tree stump.
"Mwahahaha," Jenine cackled, pursuing him. "Don't you dare criticize me or you'll be sorry!"
Suddenly, she drew out of her pocket a....

long knife. With an evil laugh, Jenine chased Sam across the ground.

Sam cried out and scrambled away, stumbling, then tripping over a tree root. He rolled over to see Jenine coming at him with the weapon. "Jenine...no please!!" he cried as she came down and stabbed him. Then.....

Suddenly, the knife exploded into a bunch of flower petals. Sam stared, dumbfounded as Jenine laughed and laughed at the look on his face.

"I got you good, didn't I?" she said grinning and suddenly looking completely normal as she gave him a hand to help him off the ground.

"What was that all about," Sam asked, brushing himself off and looking at her curiously and somewhat wary, as if afraid she would go psycho on him again.

"Oh, I was just testing your endurance," Jenine said," for you see, I'm really a warrior princess from a far away land and I'm looking for someone to run an obstacle course with my soldiers to help them complete it, for they're getting quite lazy nowadays."

Sam gulped. Jenine a warrior princess? But he had known her for so long! "Alright....does that mean you've picked me?"

Jenine looked him straight in the eye and said, "No."
Sam sighed.
Jenine spoke again. "I want you to be the general in my army."

"What!? General!?" He stood up straighter. "Your choosing me for your General. Uh, cool!" he then looked into her eyes. "Jenine....are you okay? You've never acted like this before." Then she answered...

"Got you! Ha! You actually believed me!" Then she laughed.
Sam stared at her, not knowing what to believe anymore.
"Sam?" Jenine was looking at him.

"Jenine....I....this is all just weird. I need time to rest and think" he turned and walked a few paces away before standing there and rubbing his temples. All of a sudden....

A leprechaun fell on his head. Sam screamed and jumped back - and fell into a bottomless pit.

"Sam!!!!!" Jenine screamed.

There was a sickening crack, and a pain shot up his right forearm. The pit wasn't quite bottomless. Sam looked up. It was easily ten or twenty feet to the top.

"SAM!" Jenine screamed into the pit.

Sam winced. "I'm alright. I'm not dead."
"I'm coming after you!" Jenine said.
