Two more questions:
1. Will a score be kept of how many points each individual team meamber earns, or just the team as a whole?
2. What time will the competition start? Midnight? Pacific Time, Eastern Time, etc.?

1. Will a score be kept of how many points each individual team meamber earns, or just the team as a whole?
We're going to be tallying points like such:
5 points for Ithilwen for her post in Word Tie In at 4:42 PM on 6/19/2012.
Team Total: 775 points
We will not be keeping track of your individual contributions to the team, but you can do so if you want to.
What time will the competition start? Midnight? Pacific Time, Eastern Time, etc.?
We're still working that out. All we can you is that the competition will be run on Central Standard Time because that's the time zone in which most of the Marshalls live.

Thanks!
And, I was curious and also a bit worried... What will happen to those members who aren't in the competition, but have lions in their avvies? I'm sure there are lots of Aslan fans here on NarniaWeb, after all. Should we have something special in our sigs or something that sets us apart from them, so that their posts don't accidentally get counted for our team?
~Riella
We have a general idea of who is in the competition, and who is not, Ithi. I would just worry about your own profile, and not everybody else's

Do we need to keep the same avatar for the whole month?
Or in my case, if I find a lion avatar that I prefer, may I replace the current one with the new one?
I have also put my membership as text in my sig, to avoid any risk of ambiguity, but I suppose the main thing is to have something that is easy to spot visually.

Varnafinde, as long as the avatars are clearly lion-themed, it's fine if you switch. Putting the team name in your sig is a good idea as well if there's any ambiguity about the avatar.

Feel free to post your own artwork (avies, siggies and the like) to show your team spirit!
I'm assuming that means we're allowed to post our artwork directly onto our thread, and that the Fan Art rules apply? (maximum of five sig/av sets, or 20 avs, or 10 sigs)
Yes, please keep the avatar and siggy sets to Fan Art standards.
EDIT: Please welcome Aravanna to your noble ranks, Dragons!!!

NOTICE:
The competition starts on Sunday at 12:01 AM CDT.
The entire Games and Blogs section will be 1PPP throughout the duration of the competition! This means that you will only be allowed to have one post per person per page. Any breaking of this rule will cause your team to lose points.
You said the "entire" Games and Blogs section. But does that include this Tournament Questions thread and the two HQ threads?
Movie Aristotle, AKA Risto
No, it will just be the game threads. We will change the title of the games to reflect that. We just wanted to give people a heads up. The Questions thread and the HQ threads do not count for points.

*raises hand* Um, I've posted a few posts here in G&B but when I checked the lions scoreboard, none of my posts had been counted...Just curious as to why that is.
~Anna
I'm not sure when you put up your posts, Menelve, but if you put them up recently, it may just be that the Marshals just haven't gotten around to tallying up the points yet. The posts may likely not be counted immediately as the Marshals have a ton of posts to count. I also noticed that not many points have been tallied up for today, so it's not just you. Don't worry though, I'm sure they'll count them up as soon as possible. They've got a system all worked out for it that I don't really understand.
Did you put up the posts awhile ago? If so, I'm not sure what's going on with that, so a Marshal would be a better person to ask. At any rate, I'm sure one of them will be poking their heads in here soon enough, so they can give you a better, more specific answer.

With all queries about posts not appearing, please give the Marshalls AT LEAST 24 hours to get things tallied. We're logging hundreds of posts per day right now, and there are only four of us . Please be patient.

Ok, was just curious. (though, it has been almost 24 hours since I posted them last night)
I follow the time stamps - if the Marshals haven't reached the time of my post's time stamp, I just come back later.
I have even changed my 'local time' in my profile to show Tournament Time, to make it easier to follow. It's six hours after my actual local time
I have a question about the Excuses game.
The first rule says,
"1. No posting an excuse that you (or anyone else) have used before."
I hope this doesn't mean that I need to check through the whole thread to see if someone has made a similar excuse.
My interpretation is that we are not alllowed to copy old excuses (including our own) into new posts.
