@ Meltintalle: I remember owning a book, a Christmas gift from my father, called maybe Betsy and the Emperor or Betsy and Bonaparte before I left high school in 1964, or at least before I married in 1971. Now I don't remember who wrote it, only that I never finished reading it and eventually gave the book away. So, when I checked if this book was still available, I thought it might well have been Anne Whitehead's similarly titled book, especially as she has had a longish career with the ABC. Except that I am older than both Staton Rabin and Anne Whitehead are, even if the book was in the book depository or recently re-released, in conjunction with Thomas Keneally's novel, Napoleon's last island. Thank you, though.
