Fortunatly, Gabe hasn't chewed through anything too important yet, but his food dish is showing considerable wear. Oh, and he tried chewing through a book we borrowed from some friends once. And he distroyed a Pat McManus book.
Ahem, what about the time he chewed through the telephone cord while your mom was praying with someone over the phone?
Ah, yes, the prayer chain incident.
As a background for everyone who doesn't know, my church has a prayer chain. If someone has a prayer request, they call either my mom or another woman (they're at the top of the list) and it is passed on down. Sometimes people will pray together for the need while on the phone.
My mom was engaged in such a prayer when the line went dead. It took her a moment before she found the chord chewed through. As Gabe was right there and the gerbil my sister had at the time was still in his cage, a frame up is highly unlikely. Needless to say, Gabe got in big trouble. Mom then called the person back and explained what had happened. Gabe never did that again.

Rachel Marie and her Jack Russell Terrorist.
She's only a terrorist when she's awake...and she jumped up on the couch to me for the very first time today. (She's 5 months old now and weighs 7 pounds). She's not expected to get too much bigger. But she's long. That's how she jumped up on the couch!
Love God, love people
JRTs are known for their jumping skills. They can jump the highest out of any dog proportional to their body size.
I've decided that there must be an unwritten law within the cat kingdom that if there is an open bag, box or sack laying on the ground, it must be climbed into.
Those are cute!
When my dog was little, she liked having her nose in a shoe when she slept. Maybe she liked the smell? The corner she sleeps in is right next to the shoe corner so she'd just scoot over a few inches and put her nose in a shoe.
Tishna also steals socks. During the night, she'll find two socks (two different ones) and take them into the living room. One morning, I was missing a sock and I rememberd that she had done this once before so I went into the living room. She had heard me coming and was bringing it to me in her mouth. She also had one of my Dad's socks she had found. She likes bringing stuff to us. She'll frequently grab a glove or something but she's mostly stopped doing that because we've trained her not to.
... Jack Russell just chewed through her 2nd leash today
I cannot possibly believe an animal would chew clean through an cord of any sort. It is a conspiracy ... Jack Russell Terrorist.
The Crime
The Suspect
“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”
Uh, oh, someone's in trouble!
But a watch is better than a phone cord, right? I mean, if there was actually a scale.

I don't know which is worse. The bad part of this was that I had the watch for a day when I found it like this.
Love God, love people
Ouch. I hope it wasn't too expensive.

No, thank goodness. A Wal-mart special!! I just have to get a new band for it.

Gotta catch up with all the posts since I'm behind!!!
Things that Teyla can't reach, Vala gets for her; Teyla chews Vala's leash in half so that see can get free; it's a conspiracy I tell ya'!!!
I have a different sort of conspiracy in my house. The cats try to destroy their nemesis Fiona The worst was the time they knocked my bowl of garlic cloves onto the floor and spread them everywhere. I don't know how many pieces of garlic Fiona ate that morning cause I couldn't find them all before she got to them. Thankfully she's big so they don't hurt her (cause if you don't know, garlic is toxic to dogs).
TheGeneral, your dog is adorable. He definitely favors his pug parent.
winterlife, how awful (but funny) about the prayer chain incident. Good thing phone cords are fairly inexpensive to replace
narnian_at_heart, Fiona is a sock and slipper ninja. She only steals them to get our attention and hopefully chase her.
ramagut, sorry about your watch, but it's a good thing that the face wasn't damaged. My friend's golden retriever chewed up his brand new glasses... lenses and all......
Meanwhile, my Murky Turkey has gone through a serious growth spurt in the last couple weeks. He's now taller and longer and probably heavier than Abi, but he's still so skinny. He's also still just as klutzy as he's always been.

Ouch!
This is Robin Hood (also known as Robby). He belongs to me and my two younger sisters.
Do not be fooled by his innocent look, there is a real rascle hiding behind those cute little eyes.
When we let Robby out to fly around the room, he sits like an angel, but as soon as you turn you head or leave the room he nibbles on the wallpaper. I've had to put scotch on the wallpaper around the windows to prevent further destruction.
Other than that he is a real sweet little one, likes to sing (rather loudly though), and loves being the in the center of attention

wild rose, that's a really good picture. How did you get him to pose for it?

wild rose, that is a beautiful bird.
Well I had an adventure today. Fiona nabbed a package of Oreos off of my husband's desk. She had eaten all but four of them when I found her. Panic ensued... I called my vet... He told me how to induce vomiting which I did. She's fine now, but I'm out a whole package of Oreos!

It was really an accident. I just put Robin on the christmas tree to see if he would like it. He sat there for a while so I decided to snap a photo of him. I took about three pictures, then he flew away. Robby isn't to fond of the camera
