My next door neighbors has this cat that gets pregnant all the time
This makes me sad; why don't they get her spayed (fixed)?
Love God, love people
I have no idea. I do find it sick that she gets pregnant at times. For the two 1/2 years I've lived at the house I'm at now she's been pregnant four times.
I haven't seen her around for about two months now. Manly I see a few of her kittens grown up around. I will admit they are cute but most of them have feral now because they are outdoors. My neighbor tells me not to worry about most of them. I find it cruel, I'm about to take action and ask one of my friends who works at a shelter to come and get them.

Today, my puppy is no longer. She is now officially an adult.
She, Vala and I are going to have a party to celebrate her first birthday!
When I first read the first sentence I though Telya had died. Then I realized she had just become an adult.
Tell her Happy Birthday.
wild rose, is molting the bird equivalent of shedding? I must say that shedding season is one of my least favorite times. Although, I imagine feathers are a bit more noticeable than fur. Shadow has been letting me flea comb her without fighting!
Yesterday Blitzen decided the only place she wanted to sleep was on my lap. I like have cats in my lap but after awhile I would get stiff and she would yell at me when I would make her get up.

sorry about my wording with Teyla! She is alive and well and had a great birthday!
Molting is how a bird sheds old feathers; they do it about twice a year. They don't lose all their feathers at once, but as the new ones come in, they preen the old ones out. Does make quite a mess, though!

I think Daisy is into interior design. Somehow she managed to move her igloo house and her food dish all by herself. Actuall she hid her food dish where I can't get to it so I've been using a napkin to put her food on until, her cage gets cleaned so I can get it.
My rabbit's still having litterbox issues, although less frequently. He's been shedding too, but his new coat is soooo soft.

Today, my dogs were fighting over one rawhide bone. They actually each have their own, but they wanted the same one. (The bones are identical). So, I now have one inside with one bone and one outside with the other bone.

Your rabbit is litter-trained? I have never had much luck with rabbits, but if I ever got one again I'd definetly try that. My ferret is litter trained...60% of the time. I have no idea why she sometimes doesn't go in there...??

You have a cute ferret V_L!!
Valiant_Lucy Sabine looks real cute and cuddly, I love her little eyes
I wouldn't necessarily say she's really "cuddly", more like really squirmy
Sabine is very cute.
Oh, how cute Valiant_Lucy!!!! I love her, she is soooo adorable
Sabine is so cute!
Thanks, gals

Happy (belated) birthday to Teyla!

^Your animals are so cute.
When Patch is inside he's littertrained, but he still has issues in his hutch.
Do you have one of the special high corner litterboxes? I do cause we used to have a cat one but he would miss it all the time, so I upgraded. Sometimes he has issues cause he's a buck and he likes to mark things (including me, although now he only uses his chin scent glands)

Yup, Sabine's box is the high corner one. I can definetly see why a regular one would be a bad idea for ferrets, as she would definetly...over shoot it.
Sometimes I think she wakes up and is too lazy/stiff to walk over to her litter box so she just goes...wherever. Other times if she's running around my room I guess the "hmm, maybe I should go in the litterbox!" doesn't really register.

Sounds like Teyla. Although she doesn't use a litterbox! Well, that's not entirely truthful. If you get queasy easily--don't look:

Ram, our animals do that too...our old dog Joey used to Warning for Grossness:

^Maybe that thing is like rabbits.
Warning the following maybe disturbing for quesy people:
I don't know though since ferrets, cats, and dogs are carnivores.

I have heard that it is common for dogs to do it. Rumor has it that is how the poodle got it's name.
I've had lots of animals before (cats mostly, birds, rodents) but this is a first for me!

Like ramagut said earlier molting is when the birds shed their old feather to give place to the new ones. Sophie is shedding her 'young feathers' and growing adult ones. sort of like she is growing out of her 'teen years' you would never guess that my her behavior though. She's done so many crazy and rather dumb things that my older sister and I started calling her 'our blonde bird' (she has yellow feathers on her head, so the name fits )
Feathers are quite annoying in that they get everywhere. I keep the wing and tail feathers but the rest I vaccume. A lot of them are pretty but they's soft like fluff and get all over the place. I'll be glad when molting season finishes
Valiant_Lucy I love your pets, they're so cute. I guess Sabine is more squirmy than cuddly, although I will admit that she looked cuddly to me . But then I'm weird, I consider my turtles adorable, cute and just kissable, though everyone else tells me that they look like dinasours. (My sister's husband even told me that they would make yummy soup
. I gave him such a tongue lashing though that he was sorry he said it
)
We're leaving for a summer trip to the sea shore and now I've come up with the age old question of "who shall I leave my pets too?"
The birds aren't so hard, I have a couple of people in mind who will take them, the biggest problem is the turtles. Their tank has to be cleaned one a week (and it is not a very easy task) and their feeding is tough. You have to give them an amount of food that they can eat in ten/fifteen minutes or else it gets the water all mucky. I hope my grandma will be willing to take them, or else I'm not sure what I will do
always be humble and kind

We always have this same problem, although, since we got rid of the birds, which they are very happy in their new homes, it will be easier now. I board the dogs at the vet and the cats stay home and Paul takes care of them when he comes home every 2 days. He also goes and visits the dogs on his days off!
