I have not given them names yet as I was waiting on their personalities to emerge a bit more. I don't have images for you this time, but I do have video! Taken on my cell so the quality isn't that great.
starkat your cats are so cute! We both must like cats. My name's kittengirl. Speaking of cats my cat had kittens just yesterday evening. She had four, scrawny little kittens. This is her second litter.

Thanks kittengirl. Yes, I do like cats.
I have some new pics. I took them outside in two groups and took some real outdoor pics.

First off, I would just like to say that I'm totally jealous of you, fantasia_kitty! I've always wanted a newfoundland.
But, anyway...I have a cat. Her name is Gracey, though, it's usually shortened to just "Grace."
A little bit about her: She's the most anti-social, skittish cat that ever existed. I'm thoroughly convinced of this fact. She's afraid of everyone in my family, but me.
She's a Manx, thus the reason for her having no tail. I believe she's also part Maine c**n, but I can't be sure, considering that I adopted her form a humane society and before that she was a stray kitten.
Despite the fact that she's so anti-social, she's a darling cat and I love her to death.

Chloë Máiréad you have a really pretty cat
always be humble and kind
Chloë Máiréad, your cat is lovely (and I'm pokey saying this, but welcome to NarniaWeb! ) You ought to look up the Norwegian Forest Cat because that's what your kitty reminds me of.
I haven't posted any pictures of Fiona lately, not that I can compete with Kat's adorable kitten pictures, but I have to post my new favorite pic of my puppy.
8.5 months old, 80+lbs....
What puppy? She's practically a dog now! But if you're like me, once you get a puppy, they're always a puppy to you, even years later.

Hehehe, I still call her a puppy because I have to remind myself all the time that even though she doesn't look anything like a puppy (a bear comes to mind at times....) she still behaves like a puppy and technically still IS a puppy and I still need to treat her like one.
starkat: Again your kittens are adorable.
FK: Fiona is so cute, is she expected to get any bigger?
I have decided to attept to make use of my laptops webcam. Sorry the quality's not that good, but it is the only camera I have at the moment.
I only got two that turned out decent, but at least one is of Daisy.

starkat, the kittens are adorable! I like the one that looks like it's wearing a black wig!
FK, Fiona has grown so much!!!!
I am so thankful that Teyla is not even 11 pounds!! And even though she's not a year old yet, she's lost that 'puppy' look, but not that puppy or Jack Russell energy! I will post updated pictures this week.
Speaking of Teyla, I took the dogs with me when I went to see my grandma last week. Teyla found a box of mice/rat poison and was actually very proud of her find and (thank goodness) brought it to me. My grandma lives 100 miles away from where I live (and my vet) and the small town she lives in has no 24 hour vet. (This happened at around 9pm). So I had to drive to the closest vet 45 minutes away. But she is on medication and is doing fine. She scared me, though, but good!
Love God, love people

*sighs* Vitamin K is the medication that she is on. She still licks the floor a lot too; just hurked something up that remains unidentified. I have found I can make squeaking noises that she can't locate. Fun new game.
“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”

Uh... hehehe, she's about 2/3 of her full expected weight. When she reaches her full size, she should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 120lbs. I love your bunny by the way At the Kansas State Fair each year, one of the animals I always make sure to check out are the rabbits/hares. So soft, so fluffy, best wiggly nose in the animal kingdom.

At what age does a Jack Russell lose its energy? But I know what you mean. Fiona does not look anything like a puppy anymore, but she sure acts like one.
I was so proud of myself, I taught Fiona the 'wait' command last week. I can put treats on the floor and she sits there until I give her the ok. Much better than getting my hand chewed off. (Though it's not her fault my hand can easily fit in her mouth) I also discovered last night that her paws are the same width as my feet. Scary.
Ram, I'm soooo glad Teyla didn't eat any of that rat poison!!!

Wow, that is big. What kind of height / length goes with that. (I'm not sure how dogs are measured.)

That is scary. I wouldn't want a dog that size. It could do some serious damage to me. It doesn't help that I have a bit of a fear of dogs. When I was in about second grade a German Shepard broke its chain, knocked my neighbor off his bike, and came over and bit me on the shoulder. It was a puppy age wise but was full grown. It frighten me pretty badly. It owner said it was our fault because we didn't get to know her dog.
My mom and I tortured all three of our cats today. We clipped their claws.
From the sounds they make and their struggling, one would think they were being killed or at least hurt.
This is the first time we’ve been able to clip all of Blitzen’s claws at one time.
She is very protective of her feet. She was tunneled into a snuggle bag so my mom used that to grab her. We almost hate doing that because she used to be terrified of blankets especially ones on top of her. When she was at the Humane Society, they used to throw blankets on her so they could get at the other cats in the cage. We ended up with her out of the snuggle bag and practically lying on top of her before all the claws were clipped. The only time I’ve heard Blitz hiss was the last time we attempted to clip her claws. We did get some growls today. The other two hissed at us (and cried and growled). We did Blitzen first. Shadow stayed on the bed the whole time so it was easy to grab her. Mystery heard the sounds and figured out what was going on so she hid under the loveseat, and we had to chase her out to get her. All three cats put up a brave fight, but we were the victors in the end.
I don’t like clipping claws because I’m afraid I’ll clip them too short and they’ll bleed.
I did that on one of Blitzen’s once.
Mystery’s claws and some of Blitzen’s are gray so it is hard to see the quick (pink part that bleeds when it is cut). Blitz always gets treats after we clip her claws. We're trying to teach her it is associate it with treats. She loves treats. It is easier to hold on to the other to so we don't have to try bribery. (They won't eat the treats anyway). The people at the vet's have trouble believing that we have so much trouble clipping Blitzen's claws. She gets so frightened at the vet's that she freezes so they can do it without her putting up a fight. It used to be her claws would only get clipped once a year. That was painful for us when she would knead us. It bothers her too when they are too long (she digs at them a lot), but we can't get her (or the other two) to believe that it is beneficial for them to let us clip their claws.
They get stuck in rugs and other things when their claws are too long.
Mystery had a traumatic weekend awhile ago. Someone coughed up a hairball on her quilt and it had to be washed. It was gone for most of the day and Blitzen was tunneled into Mystery’s snuggle bag.
She didn’t know what to do with herself. Finally, Blitzen emerged from the snuggle bag and Mystery could tunnel.
On the subject of hairballs (I know this isn’t the most pleasant topic, so I’ll try to keep it brief and avoid details), my mom was concerned because Shadow sometimes throws up hairballs and food at the same time. She mentioned it at the cats’ yearly physicals, and the vet said that she would be more worried if Shadow was just throwing up hairballs and that it is not normal for cat’s to cough up hairballs. We were very surprised at that since it has been our experience that cats do at least occasionally cough up hairballs. I don’t want any details but I want to know if others have found that it is normal for cats to have hairballs or if they have heard / found what the vet said.
Also, I know it is normal for cats to fluff their tails when they are scared but Shadow doesn’t when she is kneading and purring. It is only a mild tail fluff with some of the fur on her back fluffy too but she is the only cat we have ever had who does that. Anyone know why she would do that? Does anyone else’s cat(s) do that?
