Fortunately, someone had the idea that babies are not dummies and so should grow out of needing to use pacifiers.

Unfortunately, the babies didn't feel the same way, and threw a temper tantrum

Fortunately, their carers remembered the old-fashioned way of sterilizing anything by boiling such objects in water for five minutes, then letting such objects cool to room temperature in a clean environment.

Fortunately, water was available to the community through water tanks shipped in by the government.

Unfortunately, the water tanks were stolen by talking kangaroos.

Fortunately, kangaroos smart enough to talk to each other, returned what was left of the water, having learned about a kangaroo cull, staged to stop them repopulating the country.

Unfortunately, the power cut out during the signing of the peace treaty and without a well-lit photo, the internet didn't believe it happened.

Fortunately the power company responsible for the power cut actually apologised for its outage and the signing of the treaty was both reported and restaged for the benefit of Internet.

Unfortunately, word got out that the second signing was faked.

Fortunately the same people and kangaroos who signed the first treaty also signed the second treaty, and released a statement that the reenactment wasn't a fake.

Unfortunately, a dragon attack happened and so the news networks were no longer interested in reporting peace treaties.

Fortunately, the attacking dragons were dropping feather pillows.

Unfortunately, the feather pillows were the size of semi trucks, so they still buried buildings and infrastructure.

Fortunately the feather pillows insulated the buildings and infrastructure from the weather, not to mention irritated dragons.
