Ashburton, another town in NZ.

( @kingedthejust, thanks.  Try googling Napier and Hastings NZ to see a pair of towns that survived and rebuilt after a similar event)

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

Ambleside, a town at the north end of Lake Winderere, in the Lake District of England (very beautiful)

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

Agreed — I've been there! Smile

Edale, a village within the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire, England

East Coast of New Zealand, (the actual name of the region), the first place in the world that sunrise is seen each day.

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

Double Bay, New South Wales, on the East side of Sydney, Australia. Which is why their local football team is called the Roosters.

Double Bay, New South Wales, on the East side of Sydney, Australia.

Also known as Double Pay, I gather, since it's one of the richest and poshest suburbs of Sydney. Grin

Yarra Bend, Melbourne's largest natural bushland park (on a particularly meandering stretch of the Yarra River, funnily enough)

"Now you are a lioness," said Aslan. "And now all Narnia will be renewed."

Drumnadrochit, a village on the west side of Loch Ness in Scotland, where you can learn all about sightings of 'Nessie', the Loch Ness Monster. Smile

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

Tintagel (Cornwall, UK), site of an ancient ruined castle supposed to have been the birthplace (or at least the conception-place) of King Arthur...

"Now you are a lioness," said Aslan. "And now all Narnia will be renewed."

Urmston, a town near Manchester, UK

(In a loved tv comedy from the 90s, a recurring female character used to say in a deep voice, "There's three ways to get to Urmston")

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

Altrincham, Cheshire, England

(A picturesque town / suburb of Greater Manchester, right next to where I now live. Pronounced, in the unpredictable manner of British place names, OL-tring-h'm. Giggle )

"Now you are a lioness," said Aslan. "And now all Narnia will be renewed."

@ Courtenay: Some of these unpredictable names crop up in Australia as well.Such as Sydenham, generally called Sydenum. Or Dumaresque Shire usually called Demarrick Shire. Chandos is usually called Candos, and these are just British names.

Maribyrnong, Victoria, Australia.
