Rumburk, Czech Republic, where in the Baroque Loreto chapel there is a black Madonna, one of many scattered around Europe. One of the most famous is the 14th-century Black Madonna of Częstochowa in Poland, which I actually saw in 2012 at the monastery where this perhaps Byzantine icon was kept.

Weymouth, a town in southern England (a seaside town at the mouth of the River Wey) (and where I worked in a show last Christmas).

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

Sussex Inlet, New South Wales, not so much as a town but an Australian holiday destination "to get away from it all".

Tooradin, Victoria, Australia — a small town at the top of Western Port Bay (and named after the local Bunurong Aboriginal term for the fearsome mythical creature otherwise called a Bunyip Grin
