Barbecue: Cooking meat outside with friends and/or family, usually on weekends and holidays. Or, a way of cooking food that is really good; example, Roy's Hickory Pit BBQ, Hutchinson, Kansas.

Fireworks: Colorful explosive devices usually launched into the air to mark a special occasion. Also great for making dogs bark, waking sleeping neighbors, and scaring small children.
