A magical explosion happens and boom! You are able to hold your breath under water...but there's a catch, because so much energy goes into holding your breath that you can't see anything underwater - it's all pitch-black until you get back to the surface.
I wish I could spell "unfortunately" without constantly forgetting if there is an "e" there or not...

From now on, you remember how to spell "unfortunately", but you always forget how to spell "fortunately"!
By the way, here's a hint that's helped me with words like that: think of the root word. In this case, the root word is "fortunate", and it has an "e", so "unfortunately" does, too!

Voilà! You have a green thumb. It is a lovely shade of emerald. People want to chop off your thumb to use for jewellery, it is such a beautiful shade of green. And then the rest of you turns green as well...... Only Kermit the frog, who knows it isn't easy being green, will understand someone so conspicuously 'different' from anyone else. And together you will have to reeducate everyone else not to judge people on their appearance.

Your will is strong. You become invisible just by thinking the thought. However, this has the has the side effect of people bumping into you and screaming, dogs freaking out and biting you, and ruby red rashes in the shape hearts that appear when you become visible.
I wish humans didn't go crazy and kill other humans.

Your wish is granted. Whenever humans goes crazy, they don't go killing people. Instead, they seek out your house and toilet-paper it.
(Which is probably much preferable than the alternative anyways...)
