Never - we save that for birthdays.
ASN: Put candy canes on your Christmas tree?
"Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you!"
- Dr. Seuss
Never. We stick to traditional ornaments on the tree.
ASN: Save bows, ribbons, bags from gifts to reuse next year?
We have nothing, if not belief.
—C.S. Lewis
Always!
ASN: Go to a party for New Year's Eve?
"Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you!"
- Dr. Seuss
Never, apparently.
ASN: Have a special meal on New Year's?
Some days you battle yourself and other monsters. Some days you just make soup.
Never.
ASN: Give the postman a Christmas card each year?
"Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you!"
- Dr. Seuss
Never. I think my family has occasionally but I've never done it.
ASN: Take down your Christmas decorations before New Year's?
Some days you battle yourself and other monsters. Some days you just make soup.
Sometimes. I'd have said never, but after a good friend passed away just before Christmas, we only had the Christmas tree up until just after Boxing Day.
ASN: Let off fireworks on New Year's Eve?
Never.
ASN: Listen to music while doing chores?
Some days you battle yourself and other monsters. Some days you just make soup.
Often!
ASN: Look at the back of a book to read the ending first?
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."
Sometimes.... No, I'd have to make that often, even if not always. Usually because by the time I've got to the problem in the story, it has often bogged down in build-up, and I am losing track of who did what.
ASN: Start the New Year with a clean up?
Never. I try to keep things tidy all year round and what does need cleaning doesn't get a New Year's priority boost.
ASN: Play board games or watch TV as a family during the holidays?
We have nothing, if not belief.
—C.S. Lewis
Sometimes.
ASN: Read multiple books at once?
Some days you battle yourself and other monsters. Some days you just make soup.
Always. Or so usually, I am more guilty than not. Often because my reading habits are on the fly, interspersed with other things I need to be doing, or, in days past, at least some books to be read are connected with university assignments. Although, for once, I might be genuinely engrossed in one book, it doesn't mean I can't be distracted by another book that is equally absorbing, often for different reasons.
ASN: Finish all books that are to be read.
Sometimes. I don't like leaving books unfinished, but every once in a while there will be a book that I just walk away from for a number of reasons.
ASN: Get a meal on the table on-time?
Some days you battle yourself and other monsters. Some days you just make soup.
Never. Don't have planned meal times.
ASN: wear fuzzy socks when it's cold?
Love God, love people
