Always - I love the freedom. But it's still good to be with friends or family.

Never. What you might call sodas we tend to call soft drinks, and tend to be somewhat limited at what you might call soda fountains (coin-operated self-serve machines?)
ASN: Buy popcorn, milkshakes, "sodas" and other snacks, when buying tickets at cinema service counters when going to movies?

Very, very rarely, so I guess basically Never. Those items are ridiculously over-priced.

Sometimes, especially to Sydney. Going there by car isn't worth fighting traffic congestion and a lack of convenient parking facilities.

Usually not anymore, but I used to do that a lot, especially when my commute was much longer.

Never, or, more truthfully, rarely. The only time I clearly remember staying up all night on New Years' Eve was when we took a flight to Antarctica on New Years' Eve, 2006. We boarded the plane about 6.00 pm, spent midnight flying under the Midnight Sun, along the Ross Sea littoral, near Terra Nova, then back towards Mount Melbourne & Cape Adare and then home again to Sydney, the plane landing at 6 am New Year's Day, 2007.

Almost always in the last couple of months. But usually it's somewhere between Sometimes and Always.
