Down in the caves where bats like to sleep, sonar would be very useful.
Echolocation is also used by Toothless from the How to Train your Dragon series. (netflix series).

Just because vampires & bats seem to go together, doesn't mean that bats, even pestiferous bats who make a nuisance of themselves, aren't carriers of real diseases like Lyssa virus, or rabies, even if they aren't vampires in disguise.
Knowing that bats can carry real diseases doesn't make me scared of vampires, though!
