Definitely, pop culture is a force to be reckoned with.
We have hands that fashion and heads that know,
But our hearts we lost - how long ago! -- G. K. Chesterton

Famous people and fashions connected with pop culture of the current era undeniably influence it
Grandmothers of my aquaintance have certainly had some contact with pop culture, but we don't have to be ruled by it.
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."
How can we keep from being ruled by it?
Love God, love people

"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."
Quintessential parts of our vocabulary were exercised to receive that compliment.

But our hearts we lost - how long ago! -- G. K. Chesterton
Real natural opening there, Mel!
Love God, love people
