Nepean River, NSW
This is the river that flows past my home city and yes, I've been on the Nepean Belle, but not for seven years.

The most beautiful rose, blooms amidst thorns.
Queensferry, Scotland.
Queensferry was founded by St Margaret, the queen of Malcolm Canmore, and the granddaughter of Edmund Ironside, a truly Anglo-Saxon king who died after being defeated in battle by the Danish king, Sweyn.
Queensferry lies just underneath the present Forth Bridge, where you also see the Hawes Inn. When we first went there over a decade ago, there were pages from R.L.Stevenson's Kidnapped under a particular table in the bar, with a barrel for a seat. Yes, this is the famous inn from which David Balfour was kidnapped.

Oh, ok, I got the dreaded 'x' es.
Xantippe, Western Australia (again).
I've no idea where Xantippe is in Western Australia. As far as I know, it is somewhere in the vicinity of the Rabbit Proof Fence which stretches from somewhere near Port Hedland in the north of WA to somewhere near Esperance along the Great Australian Bight, in the south. We did visit the Rabbit Proof fence, somwhere along its length. The Rabbit Proof fence, the longest fence in the world is a bit like the Antonine Wall or the Great Wall of China. Except it was meant to keep out New South Wales rabbits rather than Scots or Mongols, and I'm the one on the left.
Nice to be back at "z"
