This is where St Columba established his monastery, where many of the early kings of Scotland were buried, and where the Book of Kells was written. There are a lot of ruins as well.
That looks like a lovely place, waggawerewolf. I'd love to go there. *wistful sigh* I'm Scotch-Irish, so Scotland and Ireland have always been places near and dear to my heart. ♥
