York, England.
The original, and one of the most interesting places I've ever visited. The Romans called their camp there Eburacum, and later, the Vikings, who took it over, called the place Jorvik which later still became York. It still has its original city walls, a lot of activities go on in the market place, near the ancient Shambles, and there is a statue of Constantine the Great outside of York Minster, as in the pictures.

But you wouldn't want to take a bath in the old Roman spa baths of Aquae Sulis. I doubt that Regency fashionistas expected it, either.

Where the Government-allied Campbells famously murdered the MacDonalds back in the late 1600's or the early 1700's, not sure which.

Lima Ohio. . . the town where the TV show Glee is set!
Although Ryan Murphy and the other writers clearly need to visit Ohio. . . they have one of the characters drive to Westerville every day for school in season 2. . . and that's like a two hour drive
