Coventry, also in England (West Midlands) — with a wonderful cathedral that was bombed in WWII and rebuilt afterwards, with the remains of the old cathedral preserved next to a striking modern building. (I visited there a few months ago and found it deeply moving.)

Hastings, both a town in the south coast of England, famous for a crucial battle of 1066 fought nearby, and for smugglers, AND a smaller town in New Zealand.
