Mortereve, all!

*just went through a really long Spanish class/video..thing...* i-) I want to feel lazy after that long day of school, so I'm not going to practice anything I learnt for today. ;)

Catchup!

Bella, my first day of school wasn't too bad...it could've been better though. We were busy yesterday afternoon, so I didn't get all my schoolwork done, which means I'll have to finish it up today. Oh well, it'll just take me a few days to get used to school again. How'd school go for you?
No prob! Well, we were at home on New Year's Eve, and I stayed up till midnight (though it left me utterly exhausted afterwards). And on New Year's Day...let's see, we went out for lunch. I think that was about it.

I see. Well I hope you got it all done today! :) School went really well for the first day, the second was...eh, but only because we had alot of stuff today. (And I procrastinated to draw my World Geography map, which I had to do today.)
That sounds like it was fun! :) Staying up until midnight sort of became regular during vacation, so I can't say it was terrible for me but I did feel like falling asleep several times. ;))

*waves to Queen S* The crocheted animals are going great, thanks! :) We now have a sort of "business", if you will, that's getting mildly famous around so that's been pretty exciting. :)
And, I started school at around noon today, if that makes you feel any better. ;) (We woke up late and delays abounded...yeah. ;)) )

That's great! I'm glad you liked NT2. As for NatM2... it's ok, but you should really watch the first one; it's much better.

Yep; now I really want to rewatch the first one. I watched it a few years ago, and I was about gullible enough to analyze a dollar bill and pray that I'd find some clue. :P But I know better now, and I'll understand it more. Yeah, I didn't really like NatM2 because

Spoiler
they sort of made Amelia Earhart look bad, and she was an amazing person, so that really bugged me...
and a few other things. (Although, the "Joey Motorola" bit was rather amusing. ;)) ) So yes, I'll probably enjoy the first more. :)

You're right, it's been forever since we talked! Last I remember, we were discussing guns and keeping people in boxes. What lovely topics. ;)) My Christmas, New Years, First Day of School, and such... all went very well! How about yours?

LOL! Yeah, those... were the best topics. ;) It just shows that we're unique...if not violent, unique... ;))
That's good! :) Mine went really well, too. We put up all our Christmas decorations 4-5 days before Christmas, so when we put them away after we didn't feel as depressed as usual, so that was nice. And my First day of School went better than the second. ;))
I saw a while back that your acting program is doing Little Women! Lucky! :P Have you figured out what part you've gotten, or any part that you want?

*waves to Ben, and Lady Courage*

And I believe I'm done. I'm off for now!
*tries to make her way out of the Square where dusk hangs heavily, and knocks into the Ditto Fountain*

Yeah, you should. Then let me know which one you like better. For me, it's a tough choice. Seriously, they're both so good it's hard to tell. LoL, gonna go treasure hunting? ;)) :P You're right about NatM2,

Spoiler
Amelia Earhart was poorly done, as was Abraham Lincoln. There were some funny parts, but the bad outweighed the good. Plus I didn't really like the story line all that much.
Anyway, the first one is much better... you'd like that one.

LOL! Yeah, those... were the best topics. ;) It just shows that we're unique...if not violent, unique... ;))

LoL, how true!
I'm glad to hear that. It's funny, we put up our decorations later and later each year, in fact last year we didn't even get the Christmas tree up... ;)) Why do you normally feel depressed afterwards?
Same here. ;)) But, both days I got a huge load of homework. Eesh, you'd think I could ease back into school. Not! LoL, the teachers don't know what I'm doing, they're recorded on a DVD. Oh well... ;))
Yes, indeed. ...why am I lucky? 8-| :P ;) Any part I want? What part would I possibly want? No, we don't have auditions or anything; the director knows exactly what each of us can do, so she casts us in the roles that are best for each of us. Though, this year, she had the four main girls do auditions to figure which would be best for which of the Little Women. Anyway, I got the part of John Brooke. Pretty small part, but it'll be fun nonetheless.

Wow, there was hardly anything to catch up on! And, I got the first post of the day. Mortereve all!

Poggy, I was still feeling rather blah on Christmas Day. Not as bad as some people in my family, but not myself either. However, I am now fully recovered. :) I hope your copy of The Count of Monte Cristo is not abridged? I saw a Barnes & Noble classic copy for a nice, low price for a hardcover... but it was abridged. X( It was the only one in the set that I checked that was abridged, too!

Bella, the novel is going well. I've reached 40,000 words and now need some sort of plot or climax. ;)) The Christmas program went very well, I think. We had some very interesting readings, and a nice selection of music. I haven't listened to the duet with my sister and I playing recorder and piano, but I don't think we sounded terrible. The bells did sound nice. If you miss Christmas, you can always keep listening to Christmas music. ;) Are you going to post pictures of your crocheted creatures in the SO thread? And what sort of business do you have?

What next?
;)
Anyways, congratulations, that's really cool! :D

Ditto! You'll be famous and we can all say we knew you way back when. :D

Not much is going on around here. All the exciting stuff was last week. I got to be scorekeeper for the championship of a Bible Quizzing Tournament. That made me feel important.

Hello all! *waves*

Hi, guys! I know, I know, I haven't been around in a long time. But, let's face it, who actually missed me? Nobody. So, we're good, right? Right?

Aaah! 11 pages of catch-up! *faints*

*Laughs over Cor,Vern's and Winters conversation* lol you all are way to funny!

Um, should I feel flattered or insulted? ;)

I hope to too! It sounds like i missed a lot of fun when i missed it! :((

You did. but that's ok, there'll be more in the years to come. :)

Happy belated birthday, Winter! :) Hope you had a wonderful day! :D
Nine days till Christmas!!

Belated Thanks! ;)
Not any more---I think it's closer to three hundred fifty-something. :D

Ahh!! And I missed Winter's birthday! :| Well... happy belated wishes to you! I hope you had a lovely birthday.

Thanks! I did have a lovely birthday! :)

Hm, well... I can see how curtsying could be a problem, I suppose. Tangling of the legs could result in a very complicated and awkward sprawling position on the floor. ;)

Precisely! I guess I shall have to resort to a nod of the head. ;)

A belated happy birthday to WinterStar and pon!! I hope you two had a most wonderful and fantabulous birthday!

Thanks! I know I had a fantabulous birthday!

Busy, but quite excellent! :) How have you been? I trust your birthday was fantabulous? :D

That's good. I've been good. A bit busy, what with the holidays and getting ready for school to start again (sigh). It was! :)

DRAT, I missed dearest Winty's birthday! :( I'm sorry, dear! I hope it was H.A.P.P.Y!! Congratulations on only falling twice while Ice-skating, too!

That's ok! It was good! :) Thanks! I've been skating twice since then and fell eight times and then four...sigh. But then, I was trying to skate on one foot and bacwards, and stuff... :)

Aww, but Winter, that's a really neat idea! :)

Thanks. :) It was a kinda neat idea, but the story itself didn't go the way I wanted it to...I guess that's what editing is for, though. :)

Yeah, it is cute. :) Okay, Ditto it is. *hugs her newly named teddy bear* ;))

Aw, *waves to Ditto* Congrats on becoming a mod, btw! :)

I'm so glad to hear that you had a great day! :D Ooh, ice skating is fun!

Yeah, it is! I love skating...too bad it's a winter sport, 'cause the nearest real rink is an hour away and really expensive. :(

@ Winter. Well, actually, we gave it to a young faun we know. :) He seemed pretty happy to get it. I would recommend next time letting the Jolly Old Chap in Red do his job. Might save you some trouble. ;)

*The treats were very delicious, miss Winter! :D *

That was a good idea, you two! I'm glad the faun liked it. Sound advice, Prince Cor! Very sound indeed. I think I'll not let Ruby do the planning, from now on.. ;)

I'm glad you liked the treats, Vern! :)

Thank you! And a very belated happy birthday to you, too.

You're welcome, and thank you! :)

True, just because we're not doing anything out of the ordinary doesn't because it won't be a good time or anything. It just won't be different. And, truthfully, most of the time I'd rather stay home and relax than travel somewhere, anyway.
(lol, only slightly ;) )

That is very true. Staying at home can be a lot more fun than a twelve plus hour drive. :P Make that two twelve plus hour drives. :P :P
(sigh, I guess I'll have to work on being less predictable)

Gladly! Though you'll pay my fare to the North Pole. (Unless that sleigh is still around somewhere... :- )

Yeah...Maybe you should just ship us the diary. the sleigh, hehe, *trys to look innocent* um, did you know there really is a north Pole? A big, BIG pole. Kinda hard to miss...*glances at the flattened sleigh* Actually, really hard to miss. ;)

Hannah, er Djaq, Your new neice and nephew are so cute! :) Congrats!

*waves to malkah*

*hugs Winter* Sounds like you had fun at your grandparents'! That's always fun! :D

*Returns the hug* I did! :)

Happy belated Birthday, Miss Aravis!

Good mortereve all!!

(Some of this post was typed up yesterday....)

Heh, it's been exactly two weeks since I posted in here. Sorry about that. ;))
I trust that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years!! :D My Christmas ended up being a white one! :D A very happy event for me! And, there is more snow on the ground, and has been for the last few days.

I had a rather interesting thing happen to me yesterday (Monday). ;)) *points to a blue bar that now shines below her avatar* flambeau and I were asked to be moderators (and obviously said yes ;) )! ;))

Oh, oh! It's "Bob" isn't it? ;)

How did you know?? ;)

Congratulations on the adorable niece and nephew! The stocking picture is so cute!

Thank you! :D I loved that one too!
Yay for your scores!! :D Congratulations! I have been praying for your family! *reads on* Praise the Lord that they are doing well now! :)

Djaq: Awww! Your new little relatives are adorable! Congratulations! :) I'm so glad everything went well!

Thank you so much for your prayers!

Whenever I hear "Jack", I think of "Jack Sparrow" then you. ;)) That kind of sounds odd... :p

Haha, I know what you mean. :P Whenever I hear a name (or see a name) that is the name of a NWebber, I think of them. ;))

Same here and then it quickly dipped into the 30's by nightfall. :(
It is. A constant pool of water on the drive-way from the yard to the street. :p The latest forecasts say we'll be getting rain, but no snow. :( *sigh*

It's been really cold here for the last few days. ;))
Ugh, that doesn't sound pleasant. :( Aw, I'm sorry that you didn't (?) get any snow. :(

*gasps* Djaq, your sister had her babies? That's wonderful! Congratulations!! Aw, the pics you posted are really sweet! I'm so happy for you. :)

Thank you! >:D< We've been able to see them several times in the last couple weeks, which has been really nice! :D

'Daww, Djaq, your nephew and neice are so adorable! Those are some of the cutest newborns I have every seen (most newborns are pretty red, wrinkled, and ugly...). I love them in the stockings. I just want to pick them up and kiss them. :-*

I think that it was one of the midwives who suggested the stocking picture. I think it's adorable! ;)) Aww, thank you! I'll be sure to pass along your compliment to them. ;) (that's the first time that I've seen the kissing smiley used... :P )

*sigh of relief* Glad you forgive me. "You're an angel. ANGEL, mother." :P I was happy to do it. :D
Hehe. :P

LOL! Is that so, Miss Bates? ;)
I'll have to remember that if I ever have news to tell but not the time to tell everyone, to send you a message and let you tell it for me. ;)

DJ: CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR SISTER HAVING HER TWINS!!!! Hooray!! How exciting!!!! :D :D :D
And I love. Love. LOVE. their names. ;)) Are they named after anyone in particular? ;) ;)

Thank you! :D I love their names too! I take it that you are thinking of General "Stonewall" Jackson when you ask that question? ;) Well, I suppose it can be taken that way, but there are actually a couple of other reason why they named him Jackson Thomas... 1) My brother-in-law's brother's middle name is Thomas and his first name begins with a J (he's in the army). 2) My grandpa was name Thomas Jackson (called "Jack"). Oh, and 3: They wanted the nickname "J.T.". :)
Sorry for the long ramble. ;))

;)) Well, I'm not surprised. ;) *laugh* Besides, I "know" you... kind... of... :p

Well, thank you again. ;)
And, yes, you had my name right. ;)

Aww, Djaq, those are great pictures of your new nephew and niece! Congrats to your sister!

Thank you! :)

I am, indeed! It's not like me to spend so much time away, but my dad had all last week off of work, and I didn't have any time to get on NarniaWeb.

Mmm, I understand. :) As you can see, I've been gone for a while too. ;))

(*resumes working on the post that was started yesterday*)

Aw, I'm sorry to hear that. So no "white Christmas" for you, eh? ;)) Oh well, I'll be happy to enjoy my snow very much for you. :P

We actually did have a white Christmas! :D Thank you for enjoying your snow for me, but now I can enjoy my own. ;)

*squeals with delight as Sweet Afton by Nickel Creek starts playing* Beautiful song!

Indeed they can be. Shall we stop doing National Treasure for now and just work on the Prince Caspian lines we've been doing? Then after that we can decide where to go next. Whoops, scratch that. We finished the PC scene, too. I'm open to doing anything. You decide.

Hmmm. What other movies do we both know? The Princess Bride? Um...are you up for trying a different movie? I'm game for whatever so I'm leaving this up to you...again. :P ;))

That line I gave you was a line that was said to me in a play I was in, and I had a similar response as the one you just gave. ;))
"Aren't ya kinda. Aren't ya kind." Andy Griffith.
Yes, same here! I never thought those smilies would actually look strange to me, but they do.
It has indeed. ;))

Really? That's funny! ;))
"Well, if the boot fits." Toy Story 2.
I know. It's sad. :(
Yep! ;))

Yay, we finished. That was fun.

It was indeed! (as always) :)

It's so great to have you back, Kat!! :D

*waits in anticipation for something* *nudges Djaq* Ooh, I can't wait. ;))

Haha! Wasn't it fun?? :D ;))

*waves to Dani*!! :D

Awww, Djaq, congratulations to your sister!!! :D (That first picture is absolutely adorable!)

Thank you very much! :D That picture is my favorite too. :D

Yes...although I realized I worded that question really oddly... >_> Anyways. Thanks! :)

Ah, don't worry about it. It was a good question. :)

How are twins and their Mom doing? :) :)

They are all doing well, at the last report I heard. :D I haven't seen them in a few days, but I hope I can see them again soon. :)

*listens to Ocean Eyes because she just got it ;))*

*is jealous* :P ;))

*waves to malkah*!!!

*skims...a LOT*

Sunday we found out what play we're doing this year. Little Women. :| 8-|

At the time that I first read this, I had just taken a drink of water and nearly choked on it from laughing at the way you announced this. ;)) You aren't excited? :P Do you know what role you will be playing yet? :)

It was busy! But yes, it was very fun :) !

I'm glad to hear it! :)

To all the Jane Austen fans in the Square......... PBS will be airing a new BBC miniseries of Emma staring Sunday Jan 24. :) Just thought y'all might like to know that. ;)

Oh, thank you very much, Mr. Knightly (to borrow Betsie's nickname for you ;) )! I had been wondering when that would come on. :)

Congrats, Djaq, on your new nephew and niece! What adorable pictures... I love the stocking one! Awww.

Thank you! :D
Lovely to see you again, Rosa!!

Oh, whoops... sorry for quoting you as "Malkah". Heh, and it was fine. I didn't stick around long, anyway. :p

No worries. ;)) Ah, good. ;))

*skims*!

Ryan Seacrest (the host of American Idol) somehow found my Fireflies cover, and posted it (with a few others) on his website!!!!!!!!!!

Wow!! That is very exciting (to say the least)! ;)) Congratulations! :P

Okay. I'll still be looking forward to more from you. :) I'm the type of person who enjoys covers of songs, and I love them even more when it's from someone I 'know'. ;)

Then I will ask my parents (and also work on some other songs ;)) ). :) Hehe, yeah, same here. ;))

Thank you! I don't think I'll be changing it for quite some time, because I love it too. ;) Much thanks to your sis!! :D

It was one of my favorites out of that batch she made. Yes, isn't she talented?? :D

I've been doing swimmingly lately! Lately I've really been into crocheting and making little animals; it's the most random but fun hobby. :P

I'm glad to hear it! (Although, I hope that you haven't actually been swimming...that could be cold... ;) ) Aw, that actually sounds really cute! I love little animals for some reason. :P ;))

All right, no worries, I won't be using that colour anymore. ;) But I rather liked it.....

Don't stop using it just because of me. ;) I rather liked it to (it was just rather hard to read). :P
Your avatar is really cute, btw! :)

*waves to Pebbles*!! Great to see you around! :D

EDIT: Oops, Winty, I didn't catch your post. ;))

Aw, *waves to Ditto* Congrats on becoming a mod, btw! :)

*raises Ditto's paw up in a wave back to Winty* Aw, thank you! :)

Yeah, it is! I love skating...too bad it's a winter sport, 'cause the nearest real rink is an hour away and really expensive. :(

We have a skating rink rather close to us, but we rarely go anymore. :(

Hannah, er Djaq, Your new neice and nephew are so cute! :) Congrats!

Hah! My name is floating around everywhere, I see. ;)) ;)
Thank you! :D

*Cor and Vern enter the Square, glad to be away from the bitter cold front that has arrived in Archenland*

Mortereve all! Well, we are finally getting winter weather down in the South. The forecast says we'll be getting snow tomorrow! :D :D/ It's 11 days late, but hey, it's snow!!!

Sorry for disappearing for the last week or so, lots of stuff has been up: school starting this week, last week with New Years and the week before that with Christmas. Whew! It's been fu, yet busy around here. #:-s :)

Alright, time for catching-up!

------------------------------------

@ Rose. Actually, I haven't posted any recent pictures of myself on FB in a long time. I should probably do that this evening, especially seeing as how I have some Christmas pics to load. :D

@ Lucy. It's always a good feeling when people like the gifts you've bought them. I've had to exchange a few gifts over the years..... :p

@ Lady Courage. Very nice to meet you as well! *bows* (that happens a lot.... Anyway, don't worry about Vern. He does not eat humans, cat's or any other pets. Well, except for the occasional poodle.....)

@ NN. I guess I'm kind of predictable that way. :p

Batman Begins came out in 2005. Now, Tim Burton made Batman and Batman Returns in 1989 and 1992, respectively. :)

Correct on BTTF and partially correct with Star Trek. Jerry Goldsmith composed the score for Star Trek: The motion picture while James Horner did the score to Star Trek II-III. :) There is long standing argument over which composer did the best score.... ;))

The BTTF CD still has not arrived.... :( We got a Email notice saying it was shipped on Monday, so maybe it will arrive tomorrow. :) *crosses fingers*

@ Fanny. Hmm, I see where you're coming from on this.... For me it would be so easy to just say "All content issues are bad!", which they are (to a degree), but then that would cut out a ton of great movies. I really think it's one of the few times you can say "to each their own" and it actually works/fits. I personally think when it comes to content issues in movies that it depends on what the individual person can and can not handle.

For instance: I can't handle heavy language, nudity/"racy" scenes or demented humans killing humans (TDK is a good example of this). On the other hand, mild language and violence (none gory that is) don't affect me. So, films like Indiana Jones, Wind and the Lion, Batman Begins, etc. I'm fine with, though I'm sure there are people that couldn't handle those films or would have problems with other aspects of the movies.

So, I really think it depends on what the individual can handle or not. Of course, there are some films that are pretty obvious in the fact that they are not good (most Horror films, most R-rated films)

*gets off soap box*

Sounds like a very pleasant Christmas for y'all! :) Glad it was a good one.

@ Kat. Wow, Major Congrats on getting noticed by Ryan Seacrest!! :-bd

@ PogginFan. Well, it didn't take me quite that long to figure out stuff for Christmas.... ;)

*I still have a few pieces tucked away for later. Though most of them are gone now. :p *

Quite welcome! :D Yes, from what I've read/seen of her works. :)

@ Bella. Ah yes, a true film classic in every sense! :D Not too much, really. School started this week, so I've been trying to get back into the usual swing of things after being off for 2 weeks. :p I'm also waiting (impatiently) for a CD to arrive in the mail that I ordered over the weekend.

*Glad to be of service in that area, then. :) Yes, he likes to rub it in my nose when we are at family gatherings.... 8-| ;) *

@ Winter. Thank you, we thought it was a good idea as well. Speaking of miss Ruby, do tell her we said "hello" the next time you see her and that she has been missed in the Square. :)

@ Djaq, the new Moddess who is flaunting her new status around ;) . Ditto! ;))

Well, I think we are going to be getting snow tomorrow, so hopefully that will make up for not having a white Christmas. :D

CONGRATS on becoming a Mod!!!! :D

*actually preferred NatM2 over the first one*

-------------------------------------------------

Well, that gets everything for now.

About the North Pole... it looks like I won't be going there in that sleigh. ;))

Wow, Djaq is a mod now! Congrats!

Finally people are commenting on this! I said what it would be and then several days went by and no one said anything, and then I get like three people all commenting on it in one day. Anyway... I glad had a laugh over it. ;)) Don't get me wrong, I'm excited any time we do a play. But... Little Women? :| ;))
Aha, you haven't been reading everything I post! I already said whom I'll be playing. :P I have the small role of John Brooke.

Hey, I don't blame you! ;)

Oh, ok. Well, I may have seen the Batman movie that Tim Burton made. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any other Batman movies since...

Oh, I see. Well, I haven't heard James Horner's Star Trek stuff, but I love Jerry Goldsmith's.

Aw, I hope it comes soon!

Well, I'm off. Mort'reve all!

*dashes into the Square panting for breath* Whew. Time for another one of my really quick ketchups...

NN95, that's such a cool thing that your church goes bowling every New Year's Eve. :D That sounds like lots of fun.
Lol, we go bowling fairly often in the summer, 'cause the bowling alley we go to does a discount for all the out-of-school kids in the summer.
Oh, you were being literal? Lol. Snow is good, but other than that, I don't like cold weather, period. :p

*waves to Lady Courage* :)

Bella, hope school goes well for the rest of the week! It's hard getting back into the swing of things after the holidays.

*waves to Pebbles* Nice to see you stop in! :)

Winter, hehe yeah, closer to 350-something days till Christmas now. ;)) I trust you had a good Christmas and New Year? :D I'm glad to see you back!

Djaq, that's great that you've been able to see your new niece and nephew in the past couple weeks. :D Are the babies and your sister doing well?
And a huge congrats on becoming a mod!!! :D That's totally cool!

PrinceCor, ooh, I hope you'll end up getting snow! :D

Whew, all done. Have a lovely (and perhaps snowy) mortereve, all!

Yeah, it's great! 'Course, I'm not really a fan of bowling... ymwhisle
Oh, that's cool! Yeah, we almost never go bowling outside of New Year's.
Lol, it did seem like I was being sarcastic. ;)) You're right, snow is great, but I like the cold weather, too.

Hm, only one post to read. The... Square... is... barely... moving....

Anyone around?

*bounces into the Square, squealing and jumping up and down* Only one more day till we see Michael English in concert!! :D (Can you tell I'm excited? :p ) Anyway, I put a hold on the City of Ember movie at our library, and it's back now, so we might stop by the library today and pick it up. :) I'm looking forward to seeing it - the book was awesome.

NN95, aw, you're not really a fan of bowling? But it's so much fun! :p
Speaking of snow, we got several inches last night. The ground is all covered now...
