*realizes she's been rambling*

*waves to ceppault*

Aww. Town Square is a place for having a good ramble. :D No worries. *consumes a large cup of coffee with gusto; his friend the flying squirrel has the usual acorn tea*

Hi, have everyone seen such appearance? Someone posted me private message on MySpace that he can increase my music plays count and profile views count to a very large values (like 5000 - 10000 per day).

So when I speak of a spammer joining NarniaWeb just to post advertisement, this above is an example of one. Even the members that believe their english is not so good have better grammar skills than these folks. :)

“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”

Mortereve all! I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas!

Sunday we found out what play we're doing this year. Little Women. :| 8-|

Now, for some ketchup:

NN95, lol yeah, guess we'll just have to watch National Treasure 1 and 2 till 3 comes out. :p I've already watched 1 a half dozen times. ;))
Anyway...how have you been lately?

Yep. Haha, cool. Have you seen 2, yet?
Great, thanks! How about you? How was your Christmas?

Heh, well, no worries! :) They are such a fun thing to watch. :)

That is certainly true- there have been some episodes like that- the scriptwriters really shouldn't have assumed that we, the audience, would automatically understand it would turn out well- and by leaving the endings open like that it leaves room for quite a lot of fan fiction, eh? ;) Heh, ah well. I suppose we do know they have to survive because there is always more episodes after that...or something. >_>

Indeed they are! I got Season 4 for Christmas!! :D

Yeah, you're absolutely right. Haha, true!

*waves to malkah*

Done catching up... after a bunch of skimming... ;))

Good Mortereve, all! I certainly hope that you guys had a lovely Christmas! I did :D !

I got a Blu-Ray Player (I already knew i was getting this...*coughBlackFridaycough*), some Blu-Ray Discs, some books, and a Flatscreen TV (i knew a was getting this too...*coughBlackFridaycough*).

Of the books were The Lightning Thief and *nods to Narnia Girl* The Ruins of Gorlan. I've already finished the latter--it was fantastic! I can't wait to read the rest of them. And I just started the former this morning...a bit strange thus far, but I think it will get better.

Anywho! time for a CATCHUP!

Wow, that will be busy. It sounds really fun, though! :)

It was busy! But yes, it was very fun :) !

I just got Switchfoot's new CD "Hello Hurricane"! I love it! does anybody else like this CD?

Oh, yes! It is a wonderful CD! I would definitely say that this is their best album yet!

Thanks! Glad to hear you're doing well, too. I don't remember what week you asked, but I'm assuming it was the last week of school. And, actually, the answer is no. Since I'm homeschooling, we're not technically doing semester exams, we're just breaking for Christmas break wherever there's a logical break in my studies.

I cannot recall the week either...but yes the last week of school! which was what? A week and a half ago? Ah, I see ;) .

HAPPY (BELATED) BIRTHDAY, KAT! I hope it was a great one :D !

I will be going on an iTunes shopping spree later as I have several gift cards to spend.

Ditto ;) .

H'm...yet again a small catchup post!

I met Georgie and Skandar AND saw the film in one evening.

*comes into the Town Square listening to "More Than Ever" by the Gaither Vocal Band* Yesterday we went out for lunch and stopped by a few stores that had after-Christmas sales. We stopped by Borders, but just for a short time, unfortunately. I didn't buy anything. I'm saving my money to buy the next Ranger's Apprentice book in January. :p

Anyway, on to ketchup.

Thanks, cep! :) How have you been lately? Did you have a good Christmas?

NN95, no, I haven't seen NT 2 yet. We haven't made any trips to the library in the past week since we've been so busy with Christmas. :| Hopefully I'll have a chance to check it out next week, though. I'm tired of waiting so long to see it... :p ;))
I had a great Christmas! I finally got an MP3 player and I was really excited...I also got tons of new books to read, so I've been reading like nuts lately. :p How'd your Christmas go?

EP, you got The Ruins of Gorlan for Christmas? Sweet! It's an awesome book! :D The rest of the series is great too. :)
And a Blu-Ray player and a flatscreen TV? Totally cool! :D

Hmm, another short ketchup...anyway, have a lovely mortereve all!

Good Mortereve everyone! :) I hope that everyone has been having a pleasant day so far, or will have one. :) I have been having a good morning, except the thermometer promises that the day will be cold... ah well. Welcome to Winter.

Why, hello Fanny!! :D How've you been? Violin lessons are going well, thank you!

Thanks also for the reminder that I still have to practice it today. :p I had forgotten that for a bit! :p

Not too much is new here I suppose--my grandparents and sister/brother-in-law/niece are here. :D This is the longest Christmas break I've ever had. ;))

I'm glad to hear that the lessons have been going well- I take it you're enjoying it then? Is it a hard instrument to learn? :)

I have been well as well, thanks! :) I enjoyed Christmas ever so much, and even better yet my siblings liked the presents I got for them, so I'm happy. :D How did your Christmas break go? :)

MissAravis: Very cool happy birthday video! :D

FF, no, we didn't get any more snow, but we did at least end up having a white Christmas, so I was happy about that. :D
Thank you! Yes, I had a simply fantastic Christmas! I got lots of books and new music, and I enjoyed spending time with all my family and friends. :) How did your Christmas go?

Hurray! :) I'm so glad you at least had a white Christmas, and that you had a fantastic Christmas! :) Wonderful! :) Mine went well too, thanks! :) I was so blessed with what I received, everyone was so nice. :) But spending time with my family was wonderful as well- just a time to truly relax and be a little silly if we have to and whatnot, it was nice. :)

Indeed they are! I got Season 4 for Christmas!! :D

And I got Season 5 for Christmas! :D :D Of course, it'll be a while before we actually get to it, since we have all of Season 4 and the rest of Season 3, but eventually... ;)) I still find it very hard to believe that we have all of the seasons now...and we just started watching the series this past June. Ah well. When we go for something, we go for it. :)

Annnd I should be off. :) I hope each one of you had a terrific Christmas!! :)

Mortereve all! *dances into the Square listening to "Get Away Jordan" by Ernie Haase and Signature Sound* Geez, the Square was slow yesterday. :O Anyway, yesterday we were mostly at home, I was reading and listening to my new MP3 player. :p It was super cold and windy outside. My mom and I went out for lunch at Cracker Barrel.

FF, yeah, spending time with family is lots of fun at Christmas. :D It's a great time to relax and have fun.
Ah, yes...winter is coming. It was cold outside for us yesterday too. ;))

*waves to Benjamin* How are you? :)

I cannot recall the week either...but yes the last week of school! which was what? A week and a half ago? Ah, I see ;) .

Of course, when else would you ask? :P Umm, well my last day of school was December 11th, so it was two and a half weeks ago.

NN95, no, I haven't seen NT 2 yet. We haven't made any trips to the library in the past week since we've been so busy with Christmas. :| Hopefully I'll have a chance to check it out next week, though. I'm tired of waiting so long to see it... :p ;))

Aw, I understand. Hope you get to see it really soon! I'm sure you'll like it.
Oh, that's great! My Christmas went very well, too.

Aw, and here I thought I was finally ahead of you. ;)) :P So, there are only 5 seasons, huh? That's great that you've got them all! But you're still in Season 3, huh? Well, we've been watching through some seasons of some other shows, so it'll be a little while before we start watching Season 4.

the Square was slow yesterday. :O

Man, it sure was! I can't believe how little I had to catch up on.

*walks into town leading a lovely chestnut filly with a dainty face who looks nervous and glances around with the white of her eyes showing. But nevertheless she is walking calmly and even when a loose piece of paper flutters by she merely starts a little and steps closer to her owner.*

Hey y'all! This is my first time through here and I thought I'd drop by to say hello. Hmm, sure is a pretty place. :) Oh, and don't mind Lana, she's a good girl, just a little shy. That's why I brought her, so she could experience a new place. Y'all can pet her if you like. She's gentle, though her former owner didn't know that. *chuckles with a sharp glint in the eyes*

So! It seems that everyone's had a good Christmas, and a few white ones too! We just had our very first white Christmas EVER this year! First snow-in too. :D We had about 20" of snow, and it's ever so pretty, if inconvenient. :p It's our second Christmas in Nebraska, and all the other ones have been in my Home State Texas. Was born in *sings* Houston! And we don't have white Christmases in Houston. [-x Speaking of which, the song in this video is a must listen to-

I don't know the people in this video, but the pics are pretty cute and there's nothing nasty in them. :)

*strokes filly's neck* Ok, well, see y'all later! *clucks to Lana and begins to walk out of square, but breaks into a trot just as they leave*

Lady Courage, I don't believe we've met (my fault really, I should try to get in here more than once a month). I enjoyed a rare white Christmas this year. Well, mostly white. It snowed a few days before hand and mostly melted before the big day. But I at least saw snow.

*The familiar figure of a dragon enters the Square and takes a seat by the fountain, examining the surroundings as though it is looking for someone.....*

*I don't suppose any of you have seen Cor around, have you? /:) *

*at that moment, the opening strains of James Horner's Star Trek II theme can be heard from just outside the Square. The familiar figure of the young Prince of Archenland enters the Square by way of the chocolate tree. That is, the Prince climbs over the wall and down the said tree. Silly boy....*

I heard that! [-( Anyway, hello Vern!

*Greetings Cor. Your late...*

Well, I had to get the music just right for my entrance. :D

*Speaking of that, I thought you were going to beam into the Square. You said something about visiting a friend of yours at the local Sci-Fi surplus store earlier today.....*

Uhh, yeah.... well, they kind of band me from coming into the store after I accidentally teleported the Mr. Henderson's cat...... somewhere. I tried telling them it was an accident.... mostly. :-??

*I'm not even going to ask...... Anyway, glad you are here now. We have a bit of catching-up to do this evening. :) *

Aye, we do. Mortereve all!! :D It's felt odd not stopping by for several days.... :-s I trust everyone had a splendid Christmas?

Now for catching-up:

-------------------------------

@ Lucy. Yes, it was a very good thing indeed. Fortunately, everyone really enjoyed the gifts I got them. :D

*returns the vigorous wave to Cepp*

@ My dear sister Princess. Very well, as long as you do actually listen to them.... sometime. :p ;) *discreetly mentions that Amazon.com and soundtrack.net are both good for soundtrack clips*

Seeing as how we have already exchanged gifts.... thank you greatly for the presents!!! :D I hope you have really enjoyed yours. :)

*Look back around in the 70's of this thread. Cor got a time traveling DeLorean and it didn't turn out good. Fortunately no one here sued..... :| *

@ NN. I'm doing very well, both now and back when you asked the question before Christmas. :p Yes, actually. I made a list of soundtracks and of DVD's that I wanted. ;))

Speaking of which, I am now the proud owner of the following:

Batman Begins 2-disc edition (DVD)

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Expanded and complete edition (CD)

Back to the Future (2-Disc/complete score) (CD) *

*late Christmas gift. Just ordered it tonight. :D

*waves to Lys and Jojo*

@ Fanny. Mmmhmm, kind of funny, yes? ;))

Exactly! We (that is, the Royal Family) try to keep our movie viewings to relatively clean films. There are a few movies with more content issues that we like (Hunt For Red October, Indiana Jones 3, Wind and the Lion) but overall we try to stay away from films with lots of content problems. Which is hard when some films are great, but they just have a ton of cursing in them or one "racy" scene in them..... :(

Anyway, I'm doing very well, thanks. :) Our Christmas was actually very quiet, which was nice. We visited with both sets of grandparents and one set of cousins. On Christmas, we ate lunch with my grandmother and then just stayed home for the rest of the day.

How about you? How was your Christmas? :)

@ MissA. Sweet! *pun not intended* You're quite welcomed. :D Yep, lots of December rain.... "as is tradition." ;)

*waves to Winter*

Greetings Lady Courage! I'm not sure if we have met yet or not, anyway, I'm Cor. Pleasure to meet you! :)

--------------------------------------

Well, I think that gets everything. We should probably head back to the castle now, before Dad sends out a search party.

*He's started doing that again.....*

Yeah, after someone let me fall into the freezing stream. /:)

*You were the one jumping around on those rocks. I was merely an almost innocent bystander.... ymwhisle *

We'll discuss this later..... :-w

Goodnight to all!

*Cor and Vern exit the Square*

EDIT:

To all the Jane Austen fans in the Square......... PBS will be airing a new BBC miniseries of Emma staring Sunday Jan 24. :) Just thought y'all might like to know that. ;)

Greetings, all! Happy last-day-of-2009! ;))

Yes, yes... I'm here for another catchup post. *has procrastinated for far too long...*

I trust you all had a merry Christmas? We did... although it wasn't a white one. The snow all vanished on Christmas Eve, and then miraculously reappeared the day after Christmas. ;)) Ah well. *is now a co-owner of a new wii*

@ Rose. Yeah, that was something that just kind of happened. Now I have an almost full beard plus a mustache....

Oh? Well.... I hadn't imagined that, either. ;)) I suppose I'll have to take another look at your facebook pictures.

I'm sure you're right, sweeetlilgurlie. Our family... I don't know... just doesn't really ever bake cookies at Christmastime. We make other stuff... fudge, sweet rolls, figgy pudding, bagel toppings, etc. The different kinds of cookies your family makes sound delicious!

We watched the older adaption of Les Mis, Kate. I'd already seen the version with Liam Neeson. :) Have you seen both versions? If so, which did you like best?

I'm glad you had a white Christmas, Narnia Girl! What a lovely surprise. :) Hopefully we'll get one next year... we usually do, but apparently not this time.

Yes, I have a retainer now. I prefer it over braces, however. ;) It's clear and pretty much invisible, and I don't mind them... except taking them out in the morning before breakfast. That's a... pretty gross procedure. :|

Oh! And I watched National Treasure 2 (Book of Secrets) early this week. I liked it, but the first was definitely better in my opinion. Have you seen it yet? *is looking forward to the completion of National Treasure 3*

Congrats, Djaq, on your new nephew and niece! What adorable pictures... I love the stocking one! Awww.

It's vEry sad. (YEs, you do. I'm sorry if wE wErE confusing you. )

Oh, whoops... sorry for quoting you as "Malkah". Heh, and it was fine. I didn't stick around long, anyway. :p

Lady L! It's lovely to see a few posts of yours. Congratulations on your excellent semester grades!

A prayer has been said for your family.

Happy [belated] sweet sixteenth birthday, Kitty! It sounds like you had a good time. :) Have a great new year of life!

I said that about wanting to see the extended edition of Two Towers. Ah... that was almost a year ago. I guess now I'm waiting to see if it shows up in my Christmas presents.

Heh, isn't that often the case? I have... way more movies/books on my to-read/to-watch list than I'd care to admit. ;))

You're welcome! I hope the last days of school went well for you- it must be nice to have a break now from at least that. How did the braces- removal ceremony go?

Yes, it's been a wonderful and lovely break! No school, no homework, no violin lessons/practice... hurray! The braces-removal ceremony went splendidly, thank-you! ;)) I looked quite bewildered, I'm told, upon feeling around my actual teeth for the first time... but, I've gotten used to it.

And, that's it for now! I think the computer's about to crash, so I'd better post this quickly. ;) I hope you all have a splendid New Years Eve! (We're planning a supper of pizza and root beer floats, followed by games and a movie.)

I heard about that Emma. Jints gave me the heads up a few months ago when it aired in the UK. According to Austen fans, it isn't really up to par with the book. Truly, do we need another Emma? We've already got two and the one with Kate Beckinsale is quite good.

Miss Rosario, how do you like your new Wii? I got one for Christmas as well. It's my first ever video game console. I'm not sure what to think about it. So far I've only played the sports games a couple of times. My students will be absolutely delighted to hear that I've finally entered their age and will, no doubt, teach me everything I'm supposed to know about a Wii as well as some things I probably didn't want to know. ;)

Happy New Year, ya'll!
