*Enjoys seeing what kinds of apples everyone likes*

Apples are so very nice. As a random fact, my favorite drink next to water is apple cider. Mostly I enjoy them in the fall

@Pogs: They have the texture of a watermelon?!? :| ..... =))

*finally stops laughing* Sorry. That was just really funny. I've never heard them refered to like that before! I suppose it works. :p

That's very strange. How does that work, with Pride and Prejudice and Zombies? Do they just tell the story and add random zombies? Or do they make all of the characters into zombies? What the heck?

Another random question:

What is Your Favorite Kind of Christmas Cookie?

@Miss Rosa: Nope, not much that's new. ;)) I need to get a bit of math done this next part of the week, but then I'll have a week and a half off or so. :D Christmas is almost here, which makes me happy. ;))

@PC004: What's happening? Well... my grandparents and uncle are coming over on Christmas day, so I'm sure this week we'll be preparing food for that. ;)) :p I'm looking forward to Christmas! :D

Mortereve, all!

That's fine, Cor. ;)) I didn't realize you had a mustache for... who knows how long.

*And good day to you, sir. Ahhh.... so you are Vern. I've heard much about you. ;) Yes, I am, and it's a pleasure to meet you. And... uhh, pardon me for asking, but... you don't happen to eat cats, do you?*

Poggy: Thank you! Ehh, it's been about four years now that I've had them. ;)

Oh, that sounds like fun, Queen Susan... fun indeed. ;)) Heh, I'm excited for Christmas break as well. It seems so... strange not to be having homework anymore in the evenings.

Favorite kind of Christmas cookie, Sweeetlilgurlie? Hm, maybe sugar and gingerbread.... I don't really associate any other kinds with Christmas. ;)) Plus, they're fun to decorate.

I would have to agree with you temperature-wise, Liberty. It's been around ten degrees in the mornings lately.

Well.... *bloated sigh* We just came back from a meal at Tim's Too, a very, very good restaurant. It's a sort of... asian place, and has the best stir fry imaginable. You get to choose the ingredients and sauces, and then they fry it up for you! :) Very delicious indeed.

Mortereve all! At the present time I'm doing the favorite pass-time of many Square onions..... procrastinating. :p I really should finish typing up my next review on my blog.....

*Well, what are we doing here then? /:) *

Because I want to make a catch-up post before too many pages go by.

*Oh....*

--------------------

@ Mr dearest sister Princess. Well.... *pulls out the Christmas list scroll of 2009. All rights reserved.* *ahem*

DVD's: Batman Begins (two-disc edition), Star Trek (09), An American Tail 2 and Night at the Museum 2.

CD's (soundtracks): Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (complete score, Back to the Future (2-disc set), Once Upon a Time in the West, the Mission and The Dark Half. :D

*le pant, le pant* ;)

Very well. I'll have to see what I can do about getting you one (or both) of those. :) Hmm..... well, a real leather jacket (like Indiana Jones) would be nice. Also a sword (like possibly one seen in either PB or LotR) would be nice.... or a good hunting bow. :)

*Just don't buy Cor a time-traveling DeLorean or a black ship. I'll never hear the end of it if he gets either of those...... 8-| *

@ PogginFan. Aye, that it is and Christmas is a mere three days away now! :D
Quite welcomed! Ah yes, you've changed your avatar to..... feet. :| ;))

@ Sweeet. Wait, there are different kinds of Christmas cookies? I never knew this.... Actually, I'm not sure if I have ever had a Christmas cookie. Well, besides the cookies shaped like trees or snowmen. :)

@ QueenSusan. Ah, Christmas preparations..... We have actually done hardly any preparations this year for Christmas. It was only over this past weekend that we put out some small decorations....

Ditto looking forward to Christmas!!! :D :D

@ Rose. Yeah, that was something that just kind of happened. Now I have an almost full beard plus a mustache.... ;))

*Really? All good I hope. If not, I may have to have a talk with miss Rose.... ;) I was wondering if you would ask that question... No, I do not eat cats. You may rest easy knowing I wont try to eat you at anytime. :) *

------------------------

Well, I better get back to the castle and try working some more on my blog. Mortereve all!

Of course there are different kinds! If Christmas is an important enough Holiday to have its own genre of music, wouldn't you think it could afford to have its own type of cookies? :p

My family makes lots of kinds of christmas cookies, ranging from gingerbread cookies to a kind of cookie called almond fingers. My favorite kind that we make is called Jam Thumbprints. It's nummy plain cookie dough (think chocolate chip dough without the chocolate chips) rolled in nuts and pressed down in the middle so that there are hollows. Then the hollows are filled with raspberry jam. They're so delicious!

I suppose that a cookie like that is not associated specifically with Christmas anywhere else, but at my house its been a tradition for time out of mind to make certain cookies only at Christmastime. So I call 'em Christmas cookies. :D

Isn't it just jolly? Christmas is almost here! It's so unbelievable. I've never had a white Christmas. I'm a California girl, so I'm pretty content with my sunshine.

My life hasn't been too thrilling of late, except that I was officially accepted into the English Department at my University. I was nervous they wouldn't want me! But they do. :) To celebrate, my parents gave me Dead Poet's Society. I expected the movie to be inspiring and uplifting. Instead it was depressing. Oh well.

I got new shoes today so that my feet don't freeze and then fall off when I visit St. Louis, MO next week for Urbana. I think that would be bad. Hence, the new shoes.

Aslanisthebest: I'm so sorry to hear about your mother; do keep us updated. A prayer has been said. :) I very much enjoyed your heartfelt and honest poem.

MissRosario: I don't understand what it is about minor keys, but they are so wonderful. I wonder why dropping the 3rd step in the scale suddenly makes music sound creepy or sad. Which adaptation of Les Mis were you watching?

Poggy and princess_of_narnia: They're making a movie of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies?! That's ridiculous. Why? I suppose I can't really say "nay" because I haven't read it, but really. It's just ridiculous.

Mel: I wonder if the author of the "Jane Austen+mythological beasts" books will stop with Jane. Maybe we should expect Wuthering Heights and Werewolves soon.

Miss Rose, yup, I guess we'll have a white Christmas. :D I'm real happy about it, 'cause we usually don't even get snow till January.
Oh wow, you had to wear braces for a while, then. Oh, you had to wear a retainer? I hate wearing retainers, they're so uncomfortable. :|

Thanks, PrinceCor! Well, perhaps you'll get some snow before Christmas. It's possible! You never know. :p
Have you finished your Christmas shopping?

Princess, 10 inches is still a lot of snow. That's cool. :)
I like it when we get wet snow. :p It's perfect for snowballs and snowmen. Dry snow is just so powdery...

I'd stay longer but I have to go... *glances at her watch* We have friends coming over to visit this morning and I still have to have breakfast...so have a wonderful mortereve all!

Mortereve all! Hope everyone's having a fine Christmas week. I can't believe it's only three days until Christmas! :-o I still have one more present to get...but I believe my brother is going out right now to buy it. I love the holiday season. :)

Anyway, before I get on to my catch up, I must announce to the Square what Djaq has told me yesterday in the chat room. *trumpets blare* Djaq's sister has had her twins! :D Congradulations to her and her family! I can let Djaq give you the weight and length of the babies, but both are healthy. *hopes that Djaq isn't too disappointed at me stealing her thunder* /:) :P

What is Your Favorite Kind of Christmas Cookie?

As a family tradition, we make Russian tea cakes/snowballs on Christmas Eve or the day before. So since that means so much to us, I have to say that's my favorite Christmas cookie. But I'll eat anything with sugar in it... :P

How does that work, with Pride and Prejudice and Zombies? Do they just tell the story and add random zombies? Or do they make all of the characters into zombies?

Though I haven't read it, I have hear quite a bit about it and looked into the storyline. Basically, the book keeps quite a bit of Austen's own work and then adds their own horror plot within the orginal text. In the case of P&P&Z the country is over run with zombies, which explains some of the so called plot holes that Austen left in her book (I naturally don't agree with that statement). They explain the reason Charlotte marries Collins: she needed someone to kill her after being bitten by a zombie. Lady Catherine has a group of ninjas that protect her and her estate. And I believe the Bennet girls also have some sort of combat training. It's a crazy book... 8-|

My dear brother, Prince Cor, lovely Christmas list there. I like your selection of DVDs, not so sure about the soundtracks as I am unfamiliar with most of them. But you do have very good tastes. :P
I'll see what I can do about those presents requested from me. :) What sort of hunting bow to you like? An English long bow? A Sarcen bow like the one Robin Hood (BBC tv show) carries?
Vern, I shall cross those two off my list. I would never want to torment you with the presents I buy your owner. But I did have to pass up a very good offer for the black ship...

They're making a movie of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies?! That's ridiculous. Why? I suppose I can't really say "nay" because I haven't read it, but really. It's just ridiculous.

Yes, 'tis ridiculous. But the mainstream audience is interested in that type of movies. Just look at the past couple of years and the top grossing box office movies. A lot of them deal with the fanasy genre. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Carribean, Twilight Saga, I could go on. All of the movies are fanasy movies, and I suppose the filmmakers make what their audience wants...

I wonder if the author of the "Jane Austen+mythological beasts" books will stop with Jane. Maybe we should expect Wuthering Heights and Werewolves soon.

I don't think Wuthering Heights needs werewolves to be creepy...

10 inches is still a lot of snow. That's cool. :)
I like it when we get wet snow. It's perfect for snowballs and snowmen. Dry snow is just so powdery...

Yeah, it's still quite a bit. :) I'm just glad we're going to have snow for Christmas this year. Last year we have snow for Thanksgiving, but then it was warm for a bit. We did get a small snowfall during the day Christmas, but we still had a brown yard. Anyway, I'm happy about it. :)
Yeah, wet snow is better, but it also soaks your snowsuit...

Merry Christmas everyone!

@sweeet ;)) I wasn't aware that was so funny! :P Yes, the first time I had one I said it had the texture of a watermelon. I'm not sure why. :P

I don't think I have a favorite type of Christmas cookie. ;)) We usually make toffee around Christmas, though, if that counts.

Aye, that it is and Christmas is a mere three days away now! :D
Quite welcomed! Ah yes, you've changed your avatar to..... feet. :| ;))

I know, it's so very close! That's a nice Christmas list you have there. Is Vern asking for anything? :P
Oh, not just feet, my dear sir. Feet with shoes. ;) I liked the leaves around them. ;))

@Kate Yes, it definitely is ridiculous. :-s I read parts of the book, and wow. It was pretty bad. It's like the same exact words and dialog that's in the original P&P with added violence and blood...and zombies. 8-| The idea of Elizabeth Bennet being a trained sword fighter is pretty ridiculous. ;))

In case this is my last post until after Christmas, a very merry and happy Christmas to you all! :)

Mortereve all!

Wow! It's been over a week since I was here last! I haven't been away from NarniaWeb for that long in a long time! I certainly musn't let it happen again, though I fear it may since this time of year is so busy.

Anyway, now for a massive catch-up on about 6 pages...

We had some snowflakes, but nothing stuck. :( Oh well. Maybe later this month we'll get some.

Aw, 'tis a shame. How about by now?

Whatever. 8-| ;) (At least something does. ;) )

Hehe. ;)) (Indeed. :P )

Do we want to go on with the whole sequence, or just stop here and do another scene? It's your call. :)

My call, huh? I guess I'd say stop here. The rest of the sequence is rather awkward for quoting, if I remember correctly. Shall we do something new? :)

"I don't know, just pay! Now stop whining, and just take it like a man!" Night at the Museum. Your quotes have been fine. :)
*is crazy enough to go back to the Old Forum and look to find out* ...I'll edit it in if I find it. ;))
EDIT: I found it! ;)) I had to look through a great many pages first, but I found when we started. Here is where you first use a quote, and I reply here. Well, there you go. ;))

"You are the most rude person I have ever met!" In Due Season
Thanks. ;))
Wow, nice job finding that! :-o (Hehe, the old forum looks so funny now, doesn't it?) That's so cool. Hey, that was also the post in which you started calling me Nutty!

"Yes, indeed. And, I've recently put it to good use securing weapons for your army, sire."

"Good, because we're going to need every sword we can get."

They're making a National Treasure 3? Awesome! Do you know when it's coming out?

Yes, they are! I'm so excited. I don't think it's coming out until 2010 or 2011. IMDb would say.

Oh, Aiden Happy Belated Birthday! :)

Thank you! And a very belated happy birthday to you, too.

I hope so too!
That's too bad. although, Christmas spent at home is always fun, 'cause you're not tired from traveling or anything. :)
(lol, am I that predictable?)

True, just because we're not doing anything out of the ordinary doesn't because it won't be a good time or anything. It just won't be different. And, truthfully, most of the time I'd rather stay home and relax than travel somewhere, anyway.
(lol, only slightly ;) )

Phew! Hey, could you do that? Throw the diary at Santa I mean, 'cause Ruby and I are still stuck in the dungeon, and we'll need a diversion to get out! ;)

Gladly! Though you'll pay my fare to the North Pole. (Unless that sleigh is still around somewhere... :- )

Fantastic! I'm glad to hear that you're doing well. I've been doing well, I can't complain :) . So, did you have exams this week?

Thanks! Glad to hear you're doing well, too. I don't remember what week you asked, but I'm assuming it was the last week of school. And, actually, the answer is no. Since I'm homeschooling, we're not technically doing semester exams, we're just breaking for Christmas break wherever there's a logical break in my studies.

Sure thing! :) What episode are you on now? :)

You know, there have been some episodes that did feel like they ended very abruptly, it was odd. There has been some episodes that have had a final scene in the Chief's office- sort of a wrap up scene- and I liked that because it felt then that it was properly ended...but some of the ones in Season 3 are action right up the end and then Boom! The End. You're not alone in feeling that way....

My, we're finished already! :-o We go through these seasons fast...

Yep, they do feel odd. Yeah, I've noticed there's always a very short scene after the last commercial break, and, if the story's written properly, it should be a wrapping up of all the events and a tying up of all loose ends (often in the Chief's office, like you mentioned), but, you're right, some episodes in Season 3 are action right up until the end. Even some where the bad guy could still harm Max and 99, but you just have to assume that it all turned out well. Oh well... ;))

Hello, Balustrade the First! I was hearing you had a birthday? Many happy returns of the day!
(I think the final verdict, if it ever comes, will be that we're just stubborn and muley. No sophistication about it, however much we may wish.)

Thank you very much!
(I have a sinking feeling that you're exactly right. Though, to be true to my nature, I feel I must disagree with you. We are not stubborn. We are sophisticated. :P )

Nutty, yeah, ice is treacherous and really scary. Our conditions here are fine now, though, concerning ice.
Well, I'm glad your birthday was as happy as all that!! Oh no...I think I'm going to argue with you now...in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, about the possibility of a good non-chocolate birthday. *contemplates, goes on a search for back-up, things like that*

Indeed it is. We had a really bad ice storm here last year that knocked out power for most places for about two weeks. The roads were impassible in places. This was the biggest thing we had had in a long time. And then they got one identical to ours out west, I think.
Indeed it was! How dare you argue with me? I neither saw nor smelled an ounce of chocolate my whole birthday and I still had a great day!

*waves to Bennett*

Whew, done with the catch-up! I skimmed, as usual. I hope I didn't miss anything important.

Now, I'm off. Mort'reve all!

Good mortereve all!!

Well, as Princess stated in the first post on this page, I do indeed have two precious little gifts that have been added to my family! My oldest sister had my new nephew and niece on Sunday (the 20th) at about 6 p.m. I was able to see them very soon after and they are sooo adorable! Jackson Thomas came first weighing 7.8 and Julia Rae weighed 8.2!! We are so very thankful for their safe delivery and that my sister is doing really good! :D
Here are two pictures of them.
One. Two. (the second one was taken today and I think the first was taken Sunday night or Monday...)
:D

No, silly Mel! Silly Mel! :p

If you say so. :P

My brother likes cows and says he wants to be a cow farmer someday. When the idea came up he said he would prefer a cow to a llama. (We'd been testing out a new technique of painting shirts and had chosen a llama as a test subject.) So, cow it is. I'm not sure that we'll actually go so far as to draw a short-legged cow busting out of a pen, though. :))

Aha, now I see. ;)) Very original idea, in my opinion. :P

Your parents are very wise to shop in January. That way they get good deals at the sales, right?

Yes, indeed! :)

I remember that. And based on the later clue, I am remembering correctly. ;))

Haha, you probably are remembering it correctly. ;))

Djaq, that video of you playing the piano is really good! I've never heard "Sea of Faces" before, but it sounded really good, especially if you did it by ear! That's cool! :)

Thank you very much! I'm glad that you liked it! :)

Yep. :) I'm looking forward to it. *sends a back*

*looks at the calendar* They're off now? :D Congratulations!!

"Montana"? Hannah Montana? ;))

Yeah. /:) ;) ;))

Nope, shE hasn't. :( (HEHe, but I gEt it aftEr bEing in thE chat room sEvEral days ago.)

It's vEry sad. :( (YEs, you do. I'm sorry if wE wErE confusing you. ;)) )

Well, that youtube recording was nothing to sneeze at! You do very well at playing by ear.

Thank you! :)

True and now I'm so used to you being "Djaq" that I'm not too sure if I could see you as any other username. ;))

Same here. Whenever I see the name "Djaq" it makes me think of NWeb. ;))

So annoying when the temp does this. You never know whether you need a heavy jacket or layers when the weather does this.... :( We keep getting day-long rain showers. Our drive-way looks like a mini swamp right now. :p It's in the forecast, so hopefully..... :D

Ugh, yes. The temp was in the 50's here today! :( Not fun.
A mini swamp? Sounds interesting. ;)) Our forecast says that it's going to be in the 20's and 30's on Christmas Day, but no snow. :( I hope that you get some. :D

*is clueless* Is Dee really your name? *doesn't know whether everything everybody's saying is a joke that she's not getting or something else* Anyway, I'm so clueless today...

*laughs* No, Dee isn't my real name. Okay, clue: You can spell my name backwards and it will still look the same... Get it? ;)

Has your sister had a home birth before? Having twins at home especially in an induced labor can be potentially dangerous... No, not too long at all. I love long rambles especially when they're interesting. :P

Yes, she delivered all five of her other children at home. :) They decided not to induce labor, btw. Everything went really well! :D

@Djaq Wow!! Excellent job in you 'Sea of Faces' cover! I very much enjoyed it. :) Are you planning on doing any more covers?

Thank you very much! :) I have a couple other songs that I have done, but I haven't asked my parents if I can upload them yet. I might be able to, but it's kind of doubtful. . . :)
I love your new avatar, btw!! It's gorgeous! :D

I'm about to watch your vid!! :D *listens to it* Very nice!! I like it! *lots* :p

Thank you! I'm so glad that you like it! Thanks for subscribing on YouTube, too. :-o I was so not expecting that! ;))

I'm here and you were able to contact me and get the "thing" worked out. ;) Quite fun. :P (I think that I was still "on" the forum, but watching Switchfoot music videos in another tab :P )

*waves to Sweeet and Kate*!!

*hopes that Djaq isn't too disappointed at me stealing her thunder* /:) :P

Not at all. :P I was feeling guilty for not posting in here to tell everyone, so I'm glad that you did. :P
Oh, and I actually don't know the length of the babies... Hmm.

Nutty!!! :D You're back (not that I needed to inform you, but...)!

Aw, 'tis a shame. How about by now?

Still no snow and it's not in the forecast. :( *sigh* Enjoy yours for me! ;)

My call, huh? I guess I'd say stop here. The rest of the sequence is rather awkward for quoting, if I remember correctly. Shall we do something new? :)

Yes, the rest of the sequence is mostly actions and those can be hard to do. :) Something new sounds good to me. Another scene? Different movie?

"You are the most rude person I have ever met!" In Due Season
