*slips into the Square* Mortereve all! Yesterday we went over to my best friend's house for the afternoon. We painted each other's nails. She has this bright electric green nail polish, and she painted my fingernails electric green.
I had a good time.
*gasps* It's Bella! Great to see you around again! Wow, I'll be praying for your mom.
Miss Rose, I'm planning on seeing National Treasure 2 sometime during Christmas break as well. My best friend tells me it's really good...I can't wait to see it.
*waves to FF* Looking forward to your ketchup!
Poggy, I agree, getting together with family is always fun! This Saturday we're celebrating Christmas with everyone on my mom's side of the family, and the day after Christmas we're celebrating with everyone on my dad's side. I'm looking forward to seeing all my relatives again!

Mortereve all! 'Tis the Princess again. I have been busy the past few days, but I'm happy to still be able to keep up with this (may I say?) rather slower Square. I have nearly all my Christmass presents bought, most of them from over the internet. I just hope they all come in time...
AND...I had time to write on my book. So all of you how here are following my blog, there are a couple new posts.
*Waves back at NG* I did have a great birthday, thank you. *is wearing one of her gifts, a very stylish coat *
Lovely poetry, Bent. Hope your mom feels better soon. I'l pray for her.
*throws a
back at Bent*
That's great, PoN! Be sure to let me know when you have finished.
I'm sure everyone on NW will know I have finished my book when I do. btw, how many silblings (RL) do you have?
Aww, it's so frustrating when one's camera dies. No rush at all! How many sisters do you have making it with you? Oh, did you hear that Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is being made into a movie starring Natalie Portman?! It makes me very mad. The book I could treat like a bad piece of fanfiction, but this is taking it quite too far.
Yes, 'tis... Especially since that was the last day we had the movie on rental. I have two (younger) sisters doing it with me. After listening to the first couple minutes of the commentary, I almost felt like making the rest of it by myself... They are very bias about the movie in a negative way. They kinda picked up on the way I feel about the movie and want to find anything wrong with it. Whether their stance is built on facts or not. I try to balance their opinion with facts, which almost make me sound like I'm advocating the movie (which I'm not). Anyway, I think you might find the commentary very, uh, interesting...
My reaction to your peice of news was very disturbing. But I shouldn't have been surprised. From the first time I heard about the book, I suspected that it would be adapted into a movie as the magority of the population of movie goers are interested in those types of films (i.e. vampires, aliens, zombies, etc.). Have you heard any hints about Sense and Sensiblity and Seamonsters being adapted as well?
Aagh! *shields her eyes with her hand* Is that you, NG? *puts on sunglasses* Ah, that's better. Sorry, couldn't see you because of those bright fingernails. So how's life treating you these days?
*sits down on her bench and proceeds to put her Ohio State sweatshirt (birthday present) on*

Good Mortereve everyone! *waves* I hope that everyone has been having a good past few days- mine have been alright. I had a very fun (but slightly cold) time with my horse yesterday, which was great. The other highlight is that my parents saw some flat screen computer monitors on sale for a good price, so they bought two- one for my older brother and one for me. It's been nice to get rid of the bulky older style monitor that I had previously, now I have so much more room on my desk area... *is happy*
Anyways. And now it's quite cold outside.
And for some catch up now.
It's going quite well! Not a whole lot going on, as usual, but still good! We have some family coming over tomorrow, so that should be interesting.
Oh good! Is your family still over, or no?
How did the time with them go?
*waves to Ata* Great to see your post! I'll try to get to your PM shortly- thanks for it!
FF unfortunately we're supposed to get freezing rain today...great.
How are you doing?
Oh dear! Did you end up getting the rain? I hope not!
I'm pretty good, thanks! Life has been busy, and tomorrow I should be out all day baby sitting, but I'm looking forwards to that. It's for a very cute and pretty well behaved girl and we're pretty good friends with the Mom so it shouldn't be stressful at all.
How is life for you?
Miss Rosario: How are these last few days of school going for you? *hugs* I'm praying!
Very well, thank you. How've you been?
Good, thank you! Looking forwards to Christmas, of course!
It's hard to believe it's, ah, one week away? *faints* Time flies....>_>
The movie? If so, is it a good movie? Because my mom randomly bought it at the library for me for 50 cents because it looked medieval, and I love medieval stuff/fairytales. But the cover is slightly freaking me out. Do you like it?
I realize this wasn't addressed to me- but if you like Fairy Tales I think you'll like Ever After. It's one of my Mom's favourite movies. Have you seen it yet?
Fanny: Hello, dear! (as my great-great-grandmother used to say, the feeling's 'mucilage'! ) Life's been very well! I recently got a Canon Rebel Xsi, so I'm very excited to begin my adventures in photography; I also got to drive a lot today (in practice for my license) with my mom after church, and it was a very misty-rainy, FOGGY day. A little un-nerving at times, but overall very enjoyable! And the message in Church this morning was very inspiring! How about you?
Oh good! Your camera sounds fun- have you been able to try it out and whatnot?
Ah...driving. *still hasn't gotten her license* Er, yes. I can, but... Anyways.
I'm glad that you had a pretty good driving experience, do you enjoy it? Is it really as intimidating as it looks to those who have not yet begun the process of getting it?
I'm pretty good myself, thanks!
I'm still enjoying all the snow and the winter-y weather, which is nice. I've been watching a lot of really old movies lately, the black and white 1930s-1940s type, so that has been alot of fun. How things have changed since those days!
Oh, just thought I'd add a little note: Fanny, Avra, and I (at least I think we three ) are starting a writing group called 'The Wordsmiths' - if any of you are interested, you can read more about it here.
Like We Three Kings? I'm in for sure!
Fanny, wow, you're part British and Polish? How I wish I were in your shoes! But, since I am not, I can only say that I am doing "fairly well".
Aw, thanks! It's not really anything that makes one, er, better than anyone else....I mean, I think it's special but......er, yes.
Why, that's right, besides, young ladies never dash, we hasten, and did you further know that we are never late either? Everyone else is simply early!
*laughs* Right! That is certainly very true! So no matter what time bed time comes along it is always too early. Hehe! I like that!
I'm glad to hear you're well. Is there a special secret to your alive and wellness? My secret is:
Other then that, I must say that my secret to being alive is eating alot of lunch and supper.
@ Fanny. It's easy to remember but a pain to get the lyrics correct. Especially if you have not seen it in a while.... *raises guilty hand* I think that one is simply called "Just You Wait". I always thought that bit was a little much myself.... kinda creepy to me.
Yup, indeed! I actually kind of like that song...I'm not the world's biggest Henry Higgins (that is his name, right?) fan, so, er, I found that song amusing.
Another good song is "I've grown accustomed to Her Face". Well, just edit out the cursing at the beginning of the song.... Oh fine! Let's just admit the obvious... ALL the songs in the film are great!
Hear hear! Yes...the cursing/swearing was one of the things I didn't like about it quite as much (I probably would have liked Mr. Higgins quite a bit more if he didn't swear at all or very much), and one of the songs sung by Eliza's dad. But for the most part the songs were great.
I liked the sets as well and the general feel of the film.
Ah, good! Glad to hear that. We always like to see our extended family, though certain members are only fun to be around in small doses....
I can understand that indeed. It's hard, but that's how it is, I guess....
Ah, sounds good. Let me know when you finish.
BTW, do you ever get the feeling that the episodes end very abruptly and don't have a finished feel to them?
Sure thing! What episode are you on now?
You know, there have been some episodes that did feel like they ended very abruptly, it was odd. There has been some episodes that have had a final scene in the Chief's office- sort of a wrap up scene- and I liked that because it felt then that it was properly ended...but some of the ones in Season 3 are action right up the end and then Boom! The End. You're not alone in feeling that way....
Thank you very much for your prayers! I'm getting more used to playing in front of people, so it's getting better.
My sister is doing very well, still! She hasn't had the babies yet, but she's doing good.
Oh good! I'm glad that things are getting better- is there many songs you play every Sunday?
Thanks for the update on your sister- I'm praying of course! And how is life for you?
Annnd I'm off. I have some stuff I have to do for my brother. (And myself, ultimately...) Cheers all!

I feel kinda terrible--I haven't been here for about 10 pages, and over two weeks. But probably almost all of December I've been gone. Which would be about two weeks.
Anyway. I dreamed about a week ago that I had FORTY pages of catchup to do here. The dream kinda scared me a bit.
Thankfully I only have TEN pages to catch up on or so... And I shall try to do so this weekend. I was going to last weekend.... But circumstances didn't allow me to.
So. I'm really late in doing a catchup post... But I shall try soon! I've rather missed you all!
Avatar by Wunderkind_Lucy!
Hello, Everyone! I know if I don't post soon, I'll end up having another 43 page catch up.
Hello, Edmund P! It's good to see you again! I'm well, thank you! NaNoWriMo did sort of take over my life... but in a good way! I'm missing my characters. I think I'll keep writing about them, but I don't have the drive to do it, and that makes me sad.
Jojo!!! *sends ginormouser hugs back* Oh, yes! I agree with you! Sewing machines are evil. And mine isn't just evil, it's cranky. So I'm making the blouse mostly by hand. I'm just altering a store-bought one, but I am altering it rather drastically, so I still have a lot to do. The ball was supposed to be tomorrow, but one of the girls planning it got sick, so it will be an Almost New Year's Eve Ball. I love that part of Anne of Green Gables! How'd you know? I think we are kindred spirits.
*waves to Narnia Girl and jumps up and down* How have you been? It's so nice to be around and seeing you again! How are your Christmas celebrations coming? Right now, my mom is trying to record a Ma & Pa Kettle style Christmas message on her answering machine.
Djaq!
*sigh* It's going slowly, but I'm trying to keep from getting discouraged about it. I've started alphabetizing them according to their color, but it's still slow. I'm at blue right now.
Oh... I should come over and help. I love organizing by color, and I've run out of things to do, having moved beyond my closet and bookshelf.
How is your Post-NaNo life coming?
And flam! My own dear P.P., M., M.C! (Which stands for: Perpetual President, Member, Manalive Conspiracy, paraphrased from The Pickwick Papers.)
Oh, your novel sounds really neat! I like how you ended it. Something interesting and unusual. My book doesn't really have a plot... just the Nearly Utopian lives of three girls who buy a house and live in it and are happy and make friends and do and like all the things I want to do, and really do like.
Thank you for the reminder... I need to go and transform myself in James/Wilfred Emerson Eames, and also, maybe, you know, memorize my Manalive script. We have to perform in about 25 days! *runs around in a frenzy, then realizes she isn't doing anything, so sits down and pecks away at the keyboard again* Seriously, please tell me I'm not the only one that noticed that the warden of Brakespeare College has two different first names.
*waves to Fanny, and notices her new and dashing hat* The way your milliner fixed those feathers is charming! (You're the kind of person I can see wearing a hat all of the time. I wish I was. I'm working on it.... ) You should show your inner goofiness a leetle more often. It's such fun!
Isn't if fun to talk heritage? I wish I could say I was three quarters British... No. I just have to say that I'm 5/8ths German, 1/8th English, 1/8th Norwegian, and 1/8th Orphan. Not half as interesting, no? But I betcha (oh, and apparently I'm all Wisconsin, too) no one else can say that, sides my four siblings. (And they wouldn't remember to say that, because they're all INFP, maybe INTJ, ISTP, and ENFP.
) That is really neat, about the battle of Hastings!! It's so much fun to discover people who have interesting, importantish history like that. As far as I know, everyone behind me were farmers and wives of such. Not being British, we can't trace them very far. Or is that a generalization?
About Canada... I think my parents liked it a lot. My dad for sure. But as my brother was an infant, I don't think he had opinions one way or another. And I know... Canada's really big, and Ontario and British Columbia aren't exactly the same thing, (Hey... you're probably closer to us now, than where they lived then!) but I'm pretending I'm the equivalent of someone from Togo, Africa, who I meet online, who once visited San Diego, and so we can get excited. Does that make any sense at all? Am I just one of those blatherers who blather more to cover up some really idiotic blathering?
*gasps in shock* Mr. Knightley! You wear a... fedora?! I thought you wore a top hat. A jaunty black one. But, the more I look at you, the more I think that the fedora is more fitting. In fact, *tilts head to study more effectively* I think it looks quite nice.
And watch what you say, young man! You also happen to be talking to a seventeen year old! And Jojo isn't the only one going to a ball....
And oh, hello, Vern! Yes, all is well with me and mine, thank you. How about you and yours? Do you have any distant relations whom you visit at this time of year? Or do they just send cards?
*salutes back* (o_o7) Just remember, upper arm parallel to the floor, and bend at the elbow 45 degrees.
![]()
I like that! I should be able to remember that... and I would if I really cared.
*waves to RubyGamgee*
*waves to Miss Rosario* I do like the way your name rolls on one's tongue!
*waves to poggin* Hey there!
Hello, Balustrade the First! I was hearing you had a birthday? Many happy returns of the day!
(I think the final verdict, if it ever comes, will be that we're just stubborn and muley. No sophistication about it, however much we may wish.)
*waves to Winter* How are you, this fine and wintery Mortereve?
Hey, princess of narnia! Yes, I did finish my novel! Did you finish yours? Now I'm working on reading it over so I can send off for my proof copy. (I'm so excited about it!) I've been really busy and distracted lately, so it'll probably be a while. My novel makes me happy. I love the characters.
Queen Susan! It's so good to see you! I haven't gotten very far on reading your novel... but I'm enjoying it! Thank you for letting me!
I do hope I haven't missed anyone. My apologies for not reading everything and being so excessively dull. See y'all round!
Perpetual Member of the Manalive Conspiracy!
Hey hey! *forgot about this post for a few hours* Oops! Drat, I'm back now...but now I don't have much time for a catch-up. I'll do my best, though. =]
How is everyone today?? I'm doing greatly, thanks!! I've been so happy all afternoon/evening, because I got a good score on the college-placement test I took this morning. That means I'll be taking some college classes next semester! Probably some English Composition. That should be lots of fun! I scored highest in writing, lowest in math, so I know where my strengths are, for sure.
Oooh, Rileytea, I want bonus points! *waves frantically* My top-three favorite Christmas carols are "Carol of the Bells/Sing we now of Christmas", BarlowGirls' version. (these aren't in any particular order, btw) I also love the song "Sleigh Ride", The Boston Pops Orchestra version. And third, but not last, certainly, "O Holy Night", Sandi Patty's version.
Cor, haha, yeah, posting multiple times and keeping up with everyone here profits long posts, I know.
Narniagirl, yeppers, angel costumes are nice and beautifully puffy, although they aren't very cozy-warm for standing on top of the stable in freezing temps! I got to be the shepherd (with a beard, lol) both nights, this and last. It was pretty fun to be part of the Nativity! (again)
I didn't think I could write a book (beginning, climax, end, etc) in one month either! I have spent the better part of four years working on my "official" novel, so I was really doubting my ability. But the drive to finish and "win" got me through, and it can get you through too.
Hm, nope, I don't think I've ever read that series. (the Dragon in our Midst) Should I read them?
Nutty, yeah, ice is treacherous and really scary. Our conditions here are fine now, though, concerning ice.
Well, I'm glad your birthday was as happy as all that!! Oh no...I think I'm going to argue with you now...in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, about the possibility of a good non-chocolate birthday. *contemplates, goes on a search for back-up, things like that*
Pogginfan, I agree with your friend. Oh good, I've found another kindred spirit!
Actually, I had Carrie Underwood's song "Ever After", from the movie "Enchanted", in my head, but yes, I've also seen the movie "Ever After", and I think I remember liking it. It was a typical Cinderella story, and I've never been too into those types of stories, but it was good. The cover is a bit funny, huh? It's a cute movie, though!
DRAT, I missed dearest Winty's birthday! I'm sorry, dear! I hope it was H.A.P.P.Y!!
Congratulations on only falling twice while Ice-skating, too!
Djaq, well, it is rather nice to have someone in agreement with me. Thanks, you're the best! ('member Abigail Chase? Haha!)
Took me a minute to catch on that you were talking to me, "The Truck Lover". xDD That's great that your Dad finally clinched the deal in one night. =) Have you driven it? (are you practicing driving, yet?)
Ditto all your musical comments!! I love Josh Groban! More and more as I hear more of his music.
Well, dear, actually, you are really great for me to talk to because sometimes, even if you do it unintentionally, you "calm me". I need that at times. I go-go-go so much, especially in my mind, (haha!), and need to take a breather once in a while so I can hear myself think.
YAY, the hoodies came today! They're totally cute, and Lissa and I are totally twins now. ^_^ It's black and white plaid with a red pinstripe, Rose. Awwww, that was sweet of you to say!
Thanks, Miss R, I feel very accepted here in the Square. =]
PoN, yes, I do apologize for stealin' yo' colour. Thank you for forgivin' this wretch. Hey, BTW, I listened to your uncle's song "One Day" and liked it really well! I also watched another vid, a trailer I think?, for one of those that you made/are in? Very cool stuff you got there! (P.S. I love the butterfly in your signature)
Edmund P, Hey, how's your busy week going? Mine is going perfectly smoothly as I check things off my lists. (there are many about the house, in my coat, in my purse, stuffed in my ponytail, ha!) I have the Compass Test marked off, I am working on and improving that piano solo for Christmas Eve, and most of my shopping is done, not to mention the 60-trillion cookies I made yesterday, the Live Nativity we organized and pulled off, and our own houses' decorating that got finished. It feels good to be this busy and actually get it all done, eh?
Aw, I'm sorry to hear your Granddad's back gave out. Is he ok?
Yes, yes, I understand that completely. I did NaNo only 'cause I wanted to, but I did force myself to write the daily limit (sometimes more), but if I hadn't finished it as strongly as I did, I wouldn't have been adversely affected. My story isn't finished yet either.
Bella!! *Screeches and flies toward her, arms outstretched* I love your avatar!! That was a beautifully composed poem.
It put me right in the spirit for Christmas. Again.
Fanny, er yes, I think being Polish/British is better than being only slightly German and a mix of random other stuff...like me. Ah well, it is my lot in life...
Your logic on bedtime is insurmountably favorable!! I applaud you! It IS always too early; until you realize, around 4 in the afternoon the following day when your eyes droop and you can't think straight, that maybe your parents were right about a 10:30 bedtime.
With cookies in between?? Surely, say yes.
Queen Susan!! Ugh, I hope you don't get discouraged easily, 'cause 10 pages is kind of a lot to catch up on. You can do it!
*almost posts...refreshed page...and oh my!* It's Bestie! *falls over the stack of wrapping paper at her feet, then the baby-doll that played Jesus at the Live Nativity tonight, and finally the chair itself, all in a rush just to give an even greater and more ginormous hug* Our sewing machine is actually really nice. Until it's bad, 'cause then it is horrid. It's more patient with ME than I am with IT! Aha, we alter things too, once we get them home and decide we could make them better. Oh bummer, about the sickness, but a New Year's Eve ball, almost and otherwise, sounds the best-er-est-est!! I don't know how I knew...how did you know? Why yes, that's the only logical explanation.
*posts now* If I don't get back in here before Christmas: MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
May all of you have White Christmases, presents 'round the tree, eggnog, and plenty of peppermints to go around.
~Jojo~

*Pops in again* I went to two Christmas parties today, and I think I have to go to another one tomorrow. I very much enjoy parties, but I'm not a major party person.
I tend to prefer laid back settings with a few friends who don't care if you're not wearing your best jeans or not.
Bottom line is, I wasn't anticipating this many parties this year.
This Saturday we're celebrating Christmas with everyone on my mom's side of the family, and the day after Christmas we're celebrating with everyone on my dad's side. I'm looking forward to seeing all my relatives again!
Haha, that's pretty much what our family does, too! It sounds like you're going to have a great Christmas.
@pon Haha, it's okay. My little sibs do the same thing, so I completely understand.
Well I was quite shocked, because I wasn't aware P&P&Z was this popular. No, as far as I know Sense and Sensibility and Seamonsters will remain in book form...for the moment.
Maybe they'll treat it like a series...if P&P&Z does well, then they'll make S&S&S.
Good, thank you!
Looking forwards to Christmas, of course!
It's hard to believe it's, ah, one week away? *faints* Time flies....>_>
I'm glad you're doing well! I know, time really does fly! Seriously, this year has gone by faster than all my others.
I realize this wasn't addressed to me- but if you like Fairy Tales I think you'll like Ever After. It's one of my Mom's favourite movies.
Have you seen it yet?
Oh, thank you! Not yet, perhaps I'll watch it tonight if I have time. I do love Fairy Tales.
Anyway. I dreamed about a week ago that I had FORTY pages of catchup to do here. The dream kinda scared me a bit.
Haha, that's so funny! Yep, if you abandon the Square too long, it'll start to haunt you.
Wow, another post from Betsie! And not 50 pages apart from her last one! How do you do? *Returns the wave*
How's editing on your book going?
Looks like that's it. Cheerio!
Edit: Hey, Jojo! 'tis good to hear you did well in your test today!
Yes, I really think I must read it some time. It's on my looong list of books to read.
A typical Cinderella story? Those are always quite nice. I'll watch it perhaps tonight or tomorrow.
I like laid back settings better, too. Not just the jean part but the part where people allow you to be your crazy self. I like my new preacher. My friend thinks he's liberal but I don't think he is.
My book on Amazon Kindle

*bounces into the Square* Yay, today's the last day of school! Next week is Christmas break!! And only a week till Christmas!
*shakes a finger at Princess* Hey, you can take those sunglasses off! My fingernails look just fine, thank you very much.
I was wearing this red shirt and black pants yesterday, and my mom took one look at me and said, "You know, that crazy green nail polish really clashes with your outfit."
Anyway, life is going great for me!
My mom was looking at the weather forecast and we're supposed to get 18 inches of snow between tonight and Saturday night.
FF, yes, we did end up getting the freezing rain, but fortunately it was just a little bit.
Oh, that's cool! Babysitting is fun. Hope it goes well.
Life is pretty busy, I've been wrapping Christmas presents (finally got my Christmas shopping done, thankfully) and finishing up schoolwork, and stuff like that. I can't believe Christmas is only a week away. It's coming up fast this year...
*waves to Katana* Hello, welcome to the Square!
*waves to QS* Great to see you around!
*waves back to Betsie and gives her a hug* I've been doing wonderful! This Sunday at church there's going to be lots of special Christmas music, which I'm really looking forward to. Also, we're supposed to get 18 inches of snow tomorrow! We haven't got that much snow in a looong time. How are Christmas celebrations going for you?
Jojo, that's fun that you got to be the shepherd! Lol, you had to wear a beard? Yeah, it's lots of fun to be part of the live Nativity!
Yes, you should definitely read the Dragons in Our Midst series! They're by Bryan Davis, and you can find them at most Christian bookstores.
Poggy, wow, you have a lot of Christmas parties this year. I'm not a major party person either, so I know how you feel.

I wander through here often but just as often I do not post.

“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”
Whew. Finally a catchup post!!
Bella: Hiya!
I've missed you around here, but at least I've kind of kept up with facebook so I'm not too disconnected with everyone who's friends with me there.
Anyways, nice to see you here again! I've been away for too long.
Today I decided that although I've been off of school for a week, and I should really do a few lessons of math today, I'll just do it next week instead... I guess I kind of had my Christmas break a week early.
But that's ok. I'll get Christmas day off... Ah, the joys of homeschooling and being able to switch weeks!
Hey greenleaf!! Violin has been going pretty well--I still have a LONG ways to go.... Um, obviously? But yeah. I'm enjoying it for the most part.
How've you been??
*waves to PC004*
FF (
) Yes, I have violin lessons once a week--every Tuesday.
The week goes by really fast.
And yes I got more writing done. I "won"--had over 50K, as you probably saw. So--that made me happy I guess.
*waves to ~LL~* Hi!!! Missed you!
Kat!! Great to see you here... On... page... 73... or something.
Anyway... A VERY belated happy one year anniversary to you!!!!
(And your birthday is coming up too if I'm correct!!)
Sorry, when I copy text, all the smilies disappear, so it looks weird
Haha, me too... I don't know why it does that though...
*waves to Ruby*
*waves to stardf!!*
*sees a mention of Josh Groban* Ooh. I'm a growing fan as well. Probably helps that he's my best friend's favorite singer pretty much.
But yeah, he has quite a few good songs!!

Dj: Hiya!! I rather miss our "lol-conversations" on the chat room.
I haven't been on Nweb as much as of late....
December is such a hugely busy month!!
But anyway, I'll try to *coughcoughahemcoughcough* get a certain something to you somehow that's in relation to the PM you sent... If you know what I mean.
Jojo, jo, and pp!!!!!!!!!! Ah!!! It's great to see all of your, uh, faces again!! Really though, I've missed seeing you all around... Though--I haven't really been "around" either.
Anyways... *waves*!!
*saw the words "Vanilla Twilight" and stopped scrolling for a second glance* I like that song.
Miss Rosa!! Violin is going well, thank you!!
How've you been?
Lovely violin piece by the way!!! (And I actually had a friend who "met" Sarah Chang...)
Betsie!!! You're--you're---back!!!
... *Ahem* ... Anyway.
Ooh, I like Mr. Smith Goes To Washington too. I've only seen it once though.
*needs to watch it again*
Anyway. Not too much more to say I guess. :/ I'll try to read the rest of your story soon!!! I was a ways into it I think, but then a Busy-Week came and Interrupted Me. And now Christmas Is Upon Us. So... yeah. We Shall See What Comes Of It All.
*just hopes she's not missing anything by scanning so fast...*
Oh my Bets!! Back so soon???? Just kidding.
*waves again*
Jojo: By scanning a whole ton, I don't think this catchup post has taken more then an hour. Probably only half actually...
Haha, that's so funny!
Yep, if you abandon the Square too long, it'll start to haunt you.
;)) Tell me about it. I woke up a bit scared I think--anxious that it might be true... But no. It wasn't.
*waves to NG* Thanks! Nice to see you too!
Ooh, I think that's it!!
So, last night I went with two of my brothers to a choir concert.... My best friend played the piano for the whole thing--her skills still amaze me. Very, VERY impressive. Anyway--She had no clue I was coming... And she didn't even realize that I was there until the whole event was over!! *laugh* Maybe that's a good thing, I don't know. But anyway, it was great showing up and seeing it all... Lots of fun.
Talk to you all later! I'd better go... *looks at list*
-Practice piano; prelude/duet for this Sunday, Christmas Carols for going caroling tonight at a nursing home, all the normal songs, and maybe trying "La Campanella" again.
-Practice violin; should take less time then piano...
-Possibly Math. If I decide to do that after all. I feel so behind on it.
-Catch up in the Spare Oom.
-Clean house for people coming over tonight, and make some food for that as well.
-Figure out something else about something else that I can't say.
Farewell, all!

catching up on about 10 pages...
I don't like my story much, so you must forgive me for being hesitant to share.
Aww, but Winter, that's a really neat idea!
*waves to Cor and Vern*
You're going to be/were a bridesmaid?
Next August, my dear niece. You get to go to a Christmas ball? How splendiferously lovely! I have never had the opportunity to work with silk, but cherry silk sounds lovely. How did the blouse turn out? Ack. I should have asked for Manalive for Christmas because I still haven't found a copy.
and having at least three terrifying dreams since that were based on [Howl's Moving Castle]
I envy you. I wish I could dream about Howl instead of books I've never read... I've read enough books that it's just not fair to have characters I've never read about show up in my dreams.
*wishes NN, pon, and Winter a very belated happy birthday* I hope y'all had wonderful days!
You know what's another really good song? "End of the Beginning" by David Phelps,
Oooh, yes! That's been one of my favourite Easter songs in the last few years. *congratulates Jojo on her purchase of a hoodie* I have two myself, and I really like them.
Random question: (for anyone who cares to answer) What are your top 3 Christmas carols? (bonus points if you list the specific renditions
)
The first three that pop into my head that I can think of specific renditions of are: "O Come O Come Immanuel" as performed by Mannheim Steamroller, "O Holy Night" as performed by Josh Groban, and "Mary's Song" by Petra. I also like the hippopotomous song, and the 12 days of Christmas parody that includes the line 'five shopping malls'.
If so, is [Ever After] a good movie?
*joins the Ever After fans* It's one of my favourites. Very sweet. I hope you enjoy it! I once heard it described this way: characters with an English accent, living in France, wearing clothes based on Italian Renaissance styles.
I suppose I could have been "Wilma Scarlett" (just kidding).

LOL. Or Cecily. [/Outlaws of Sherwood Forest reference.]
Awww, Bella, what a nice post in rhyme! *hugs Bella* I'll say a prayer for your mom.
And only a week till Christmas!
![]()
Which, frankly, is scaring me just a bit... I don't feel prepared yet! I have presents to wrap, and I still don't know what to give one of my brothers for Christmas and...
We have hands that fashion and heads that know,
But our hearts we lost - how long ago! -- G. K. Chesterton
Good mortereve all!!!
I'm back to ketchup.
*waves to Rosa and sends a hug*
Djaq, unfortunately they didn't have National Treasure 2 at the library...it's checked out. *groans* I hope I'm able to see it soon.
I hope that you get to see it soon, too! Ugh, it's so inconvenient when the movie/book that you want is checked out at the library. I've been trying to get the '95 adaptation of Persuasion at the library for weeks now and it's been checked out a lot of the time.
Aw, Hugsly? That's such a cute name. You could name the bear Ditto.
![]()
Yeah, it is cute. Okay, Ditto it is. *hugs her newly named teddy bear*
Thanks!
I had a great birthday! We went ice skating yesterday and it was really fun. I only fell down twice, too!
![]()
I'm so glad to hear that you had a great day! Ooh, ice skating is fun!
Ah, I see. I had forgotten about that... Well, that was a bit of a slipup, seeing as I didn't want anyone to know my real name, but I guess my secret's safe with you, right?
![]()
No worries, your secret is very safe with me.
Oh good.
![]()
D'aww, those are cute names. If my mom had ever had twin girls, my sister and I had picked out names for them: Rebecca Joy and Rachel Joanna. Unfortunately, we only got to name our dolls that... But anyway, I'm sure you are excited!
Mmm hmm! I love the names they picked out! Aww, cute names!
She will probably have them tonight or tomorrow! I'm really praying that everything goes well!
I'm sorry that I missed coming in here to wish you a happy birthday on the day! I hope that you had a great one!!
*waves to Kate* It's great to see you here!
Oh, okay. Yeah. My Christmas plans are spread out over three days. First we have Christmas with one side of the family (24th), then with just our family and the grandparents (25th), then with the other side of the family(26th). So, it should be fun
! (and busy to say the least)
Wow, that will be busy. It sounds really fun, though!
Bella!! Lovely post! Great rhyming.
I will be praying for your Mom and for your whole family!
Oh good!
I'm glad that things are getting better- is there many songs you play every Sunday?
Thanks for the update on your sister- I'm praying of course! And how is life for you?
![]()
How many songs do I play each Sunday? I play maybe 5 or 6 depending on their length. (is that what you wanted to know?)
I really appreciate your prayers for my sister! As I told Princess above, she will probably have the babies tonight or tomorrow which would be a very good thing because she is in a lot of pain right now.
Life is going well for me. Not much going on that is different from what I usually do, but things may start to get busy in the next few weeks.
Hello, Katana! Welcome to NarniaWeb!
Oh... I should come over and help. I love organizing by color, and I've run out of things to do, having moved beyond my closet and bookshelf.
Oh! That would be lovely if you would be able to come and help! Then after we finished maybe we could start on my closet.
My post-NaNo life is going really well. I feel like I have so much free time now that I'm not writing in every moment that I can spare. It's nice though. How about you? Do you have any plans for Christmas?
Djaq, well, it is rather nice to have someone in agreement with me.
Thanks, you're the best! ('member Abigail Chase? Haha!)
"I try my best for satisfaction, sir." (The Importance of Being Earnest. The line is something like that... ) What about Abigail Chase? I can't remember right now.
I just quoted you as "Jojo" this time. No confusion there, I hope.
Yeah, it was nice. No, I haven't driven it yet (I've barely even had the chance to ride in it
). (I'm not driving yet because I have to finish writing summaries on each book of the Bible before I start...Did that make sense? I can explain more later, if you wish.
)
Mmm hmm! His voice is really good and I love the sound of it. My family really liked Clay Aiken until a certain point...
Well, dear, actually, you are really great for me to talk to because sometimes, even if you do it unintentionally, you "calm me". I need that at times. I go-go-go so much, especially in my mind, (haha!), and need to take a breather once in a while so I can hear myself think.
![]()
I'm glad to hear that. I know what you mean about needing to slow down and take a break. You help me with that too (except when we're arguing
).
YAY, the hoodies came today! They're totally cute, and Lissa and I are totally twins now. ^_^
Ooh, yay! They sound so cute!
Dj: Hiya!!
I rather miss our "lol-conversations" on the chat room.
I haven't been on Nweb as much as of late....
December is such a hugely busy month!!
QS!! Hi! I've missed you!
I miss those conversations too. We should both get on sometime and see if I can still make you lol.
Yes, December is very busy! I hope that you're able to be on more now (or will it just be busier?).
But anyway, I'll try to *coughcoughahemcoughcough* get a certain something to you somehow that's in relation to the PM you sent... If you know what I mean.
*grin* Sounds good! I can't wait to see it!
-Figure out something else about something else that I can't say.
(for some reason that just struck me as being really funny!)
Mel!
LOL. Or Cecily. [/Outlaws of Sherwood Forest reference.]
I've never seen (or read?) that. What is it?
[Christmas being so close], frankly, is scaring me just a bit... I don't feel prepared yet! I have presents to wrap, and I still don't know what to give one of my brothers for Christmas and...
Same here! I've ordered flam's present, but it isn't here yet...I hope that it will be here soon.
Mortereve all!
~Djaq
When things fall apart, be glue.
Team Hoodie!!
We should both get on sometime and see if I can still make you lol.
Yes, December is very busy! I hope that you're able to be on more now (or will it just be busier?).
Well, the rest of December will probably be kinda busy. But now that I don't have 10 pages of catchup, I'll be more willing to come back sooner.
Once Jan comes, things should slow down a little bit!
And yeah, that'd be fun!!
*tries to think of what to do for you-know-what.* I have an idea... but my brother is using the computer I need.
Oh, and I could tell YOU about the something else about something else that I need to figure out. (You-know-what already) But I can't say it--out loud...
*goes off to practice some Christmas Carols for tonight*
