Mortereve, all! Heh, I shouldn't be on NarniaWeb right now... but I needed a break from schoolwork.
I only play two instruments, Ben: piano and violin. I'd love to play the cello and flute as well, though!
*waves to Riley* Do you mind if I call you that?
Hmm.... my top three Christmas carols? That's tough. What Child is This, O Holy Night, O Come O Come Emmanuel.... Oof, I don't know. There are too many!
I don't think one could forget you, Jojo. You are just too fun and sweet and full of happy energy!
And I'm anxious to hear all about your hoodie when it comes!
*absolutely loves Ever After...*
Whoops, well I'm off for now. I have a huuuuge test to finish studying for! More later.

Oh I LOVE The Cello! Its sounds so Cool! the flute is awesome! I got a "flute" its kind of a flute.. its a woods one that had five holes and pretty easy to play... it looks like this.......
I had a bigger one that looks like this.... but i sold the bigger one because I wanted the smaller one instead because you can carry it almost anywhere........ They are really fun to play because you don't have to be talented to make them sound cool! thats why i like it
Well I'll talk to you later

*saunters into the Square* Got the second book in the Lionboy trilogy at the library yesterday. So far, it's quite good.
NN95, glad you had a good birthday!
They're making a National Treasure 3? Awesome! Do you know when it's coming out?
Poggy, what are you doing for Christmas? Anything exciting going on?
Djaq, unfortunately they didn't have National Treasure 2 at the library...it's checked out. *groans* I hope I'm able to see it soon.
Wow, short ketchup today. Anyway...I'm off.

Hope you like the treats, Vern!
Winter, we have schoolwork for the rest of this week and the week after that, then we're taking a break.
That's cool. We get off on the eighteenth. Ten days 'till Christmas!!!
Yeah i guess I,m blessed to be able to make money.......
Ok thanks for the information! I'll probably just keep working on the one that i started and then do it next year.........
I hope you do NaNoWriMo next year, it's really fun!
*Waves to Betsie!*
Oh, Aiden Happy Belated Birthday!
Well, I have a 48" stuffed dog that had seven different names (one for each day of the week
)... I also had a cute little snowman named "Hugsly" (I really have no idea how to spell that), so it could be any name... I could just name him Ditto in honor of where I got him. (?)
![]()
Aw, Hugsly? That's such a cute name. You could name the bear Ditto.
I've been doing great, thank you! You?
Not as random as you might think, that's a common question for me. It comes from the Father Brown mystery series by G.K. Chesterton; Flambeau is the name of one of the characters, and he happened to be one of my favorites, so I chose it for my 'nickname'.
That's good. I've been good.
lol, ok I felt kinda dumb asking. I was just checking, 'cause "Flambeau" is the name of a fishing tackle/outdoorsy company.
*waves to Ilf, Lucy, Ruby, Cor, Fanny, Ed P, Flam, Djaq, Benny, Joe, pon, Winter, and everyone else*
*Waves back* How have you been lately?
Oh... um, sure. Perhaps you'd better try curtsying next time?
![]()
lol, actually curtsying has always been hard for em, what with having to cross your legs when you do it...I always wind up gettign tangled up on the floor.
A very wise decision.
lol, that's what I thought, too.
Oh, that's great! I hope you all have a good time.
Nope, we're not doing much out of the ordinary.
(I figured as much...![]()
)
I hope so too!
That's too bad. although, Christmas spent at home is always fun, 'cause you're not tired from traveling or anything.
(lol, am I that predictable?)
No, I wouldn't do that! It wasn't your fault I got a pink diary. If I were going to throw it at anyone, it would be Santa.
Phew! Hey, could you do that? Throw the diary at Santa I mean, 'cause Ruby and I are still stuck in the dungeon, and we'll need a diversion to get out!
A HUGE HAPPY BIRTHDAY goes to WinterStar!!!!

I hope that you have been having a GREAT day!!!

Mortereve all!
A little ketchup post that's probably going to be pretty short...
Hello Sis! Glad to see you making your once-every-other-month-except-for-leap-moths-or-when-there-is-a-blue-moon post.
Well, it seems I'm always having a really-long-busy-can't-post-because-there's-not-enough-hours-in-a-day type of month... Yeah, whatever. Anyway, what shenanigans have you and your sidekick Vern been up to? (btw, my sister just told me that Vern is a girl's name...interesing peice of news)
*waves at Betsie* Did you finish your NaNo novel?
PoN, I am genuinely delighted to see you again! (obviously, I was missing you, so I imitated your font colour)
At first I thought I was looking at one of my own posts, but I quickly realize someone had stolen my color!!! Well, they say imitation is the highest form of flattery, so I will concidered myself flattered, and forgive you.
No, I meant that when you posted pictures of yourself (looong time ago), one of the pictures was titled with your name. Does that make sense now? (I'm really bad at describing things.
)
Ah, I see. I had forgotten about that... Well, that was a bit of a slipup, seeing as I didn't want anyone to know my real name, but I guess my secret's safe with you, right?
She hasn't had them yet, so don't worry about missing it. It's a boy and a girl (Jackson and Julia!)! I am reeeaaally excited! She could have them anytime, so we're just waiting now.
Oh good.
D'aww, those are cute names. If my mom had ever had twin girls, my sister and I had picked out names for them: Rebecca Joy and Rachel Joanna. Unfortunately, we only got to name our dolls that... But anyway, I'm sure you are excited!
Hello, Princess! I'm doing quite well, thank you!
Anything interesting happening with you lately?
Other than doing my school, writing my book, admiring the newly fallen snow, visiting my older brothers in Ohio, celebrating my birthday with them, and trying to read all my presents (which were books ), not much has happened lately.
What's up with you?
"That is such a good way to put it!" - Sue Thomas
*is surprised that anyone here has watched that show*
*skims for her name*
*waves back to poggy* I'm working on that commentary... My sisters and I began making yesterday, but then 50 minutes into it, the camera that we were using to record sound ran out of battery. And we didn't even notice that it had shut off until half an hour later! So we'll have to re-commentate those parts, as well as wait for Mom to get the movie from the video rental, for it was due... *sigh*
I've been doing fairly well, thank you. Yes, it's been... rather cold up here. We got quite a bit of snow Wednesday night, but it's melted down considerably since then.
Good to see you again! Are you still working on your story?
Yes, it was rather windy and snowy here as well. But when we visited Ohio it was a bit warmer.
I have been working on my book a bit. Not as much as I did in November and not as much as I would like to, but there are only so many hours in a day... I'm nearly halfway done, though!
Well, that's all I have time for today. Mortereve SquareOnions!

I've been feeling rather out of touch here on the lovely NarniaWeb and am making an effort over my Christmas break to get back in the saddle and enjoy some socializing with NarniaWebbers. I'm back at my family home for the holidays and will be here until I leave for St. Louis, MO for Urbana 2009! I've never been to MO before, so it should be exciting.
MissRosario: It seems you like the carols in minor keys. I like those ones too.
My favorite carol is "O Holy Night." Other than that, I don't really have other favorites, but my least favorite is "Little Drummer Boy." *Ducks flying tomatoes*
*plods into the Square with a sigh of relief* Well, I finally finished my Christmas shopping yesterday. Glad I've got that out of my way now. Anyway, on to ketchup...
Happy belated birthday, Winter! Hope you had a wonderful day!
Nine days till Christmas!!
*waves to Princess* Hope you had a fantastic birthday yesterday!
Kate! Hi! *waves* Oh, I like "O Holy Night" too. It's so sweet and beautiful. *gasps* You don't like "Little Drummer Boy"?

Good Mortereve, all! How goes it this chilly autumn evening (yes it is still autumn) ? I'm doing quite well! Getting into the Holiday spirit and all now that it's just 9 DAYS until Christmas! Woot, just one two days until Christmas Break too!
CATCHUP!
EP, well, I'm going Christmas shopping on Tuesday (yes, I know I should have gotten it done earlier, but I haven't had a chance
) and next Saturday we're going to visit my grandparents for the day...then the day after Christmas we'll be visiting my other grandparents...it'll be quite busy.
Sounds fun !
Hahaha! Hey! It wasn't our fault that Santa had the tags all labeled incorrectly! We'll try to make ammends within the next episode...
The Screwtape Letters? Those are good. I've just started reading through them.
You better
! I've read them before, but I was talking about the CD with Andy Serkis
.
*waves at Edmund P.*
*waves back* Who are you ? I've never seen you here before
.
Hey, flam! How've you been? And, more importantly where have you been ?
Edmund P: Hey, cool, I watched your latest vid, and as usual, liked it very well!
The end made me and my sister laugh heartily.
Yes indeed, I've been keeping really busy. And this week is going to be busier than ever, I think! Oh yes, definitely, "view halloo Christmas Break"!! Mmhm, I forgot to add "Narniaweb, writing, and decorating" to the list. Ah well. Say, did I see something about you doing NaNo this year? I think that's cool! I did it too, and am quite happy with the taste of success.
Great! I'm happy you like it. Yes, the end was quite the comic, I must say. This week is going to be rather busy for us also! I've got exams, baking, job (a bloody lot I've got to do!), cleaning, shopping, and taking care of my granddad (his back gave out on him). Yes, I was in NaNo--kind of. It started off as me being in it...then I just did it for pleasure, for the deadline was drawing nigh. You did it too! splendid! Indeed the taste of success (even partial (I'm still working on mine)) is sweet !
Hullo! You're right, it has been a while. I've been great, thanks! You?
Fantastic! I'm glad to hear that you're doing well. I've been doing well, I can't complain . So, did you have exams this week?
Well, I said "events", but I didn't really mean actual events, I meant more like when certain people would be where, when my sister has her twins and how my Grandma is doing.
I am fairly busy, though.
How about your Christmas plans?
Oh, okay. Yeah. My Christmas plans are spread out over three days. First we have Christmas with one side of the family (24th), then with just our family and the grandparents (25th), then with the other side of the family(26th). So, it should be fun ! (and busy to say the least)
*Waves to everyone* Have a great mortereve, all !
(A few of you guys were talking about Christmas carols. My favs have got to be Angels We Have Heard On High, O Holy Night, and Away in a Manger.)
I met Georgie and Skandar AND saw the film in one evening.
*one who had disappeared makes a sudden entrance, with the same gray fedora, except with a festive, fine big red ribbon tied around*
Why, I've forgotten how much I missed it here,
So much that I might shed many a tear.
For, life has been busy and called my name,
But that I have not come around; 'tis a shame.
You see, school has gotten so filled of late.
Christmas next week, I can't wait!
Last Saturday we had a handmade sale,
And I'm glad to say we did not fail.
We had been working for all that for a long spell,
And right before it I did not feel well,
For a nasty flu had gotten to me.
But now the one who's ill is my dearest Marmee.
--
I'll stop the rhyme for just a sec.
My mom has been at the hospital since Monday night, because of some severe pains she has been having. To make a longish story short I'll say that overall, it just doesn't sound very good. Prayers would be wonderful.
--
My, we have not gotten up the Christmas tree.
Although we have made many treats; brownies and cookies... (Sorry for that. *laughs*)
Last night, in fact, we made some macaroons.
And sent them via dad to mom, with the message "Get well soon!"
Life here has been hectic and busy,
And I can not say it has been easy.
In the every day schedule, it's relieving to heed,
That God is the one that takes the lead.
So, that's my life for the time I've spent away,
Whether a catchup post will follow, I can't say.
For my laptop has been taken for repair,
To someone who will give it good care.
But I thought I must stop by for a call,
And give a hearty greeting to you all.
I'll throw in a hug, as well,
And wish you a Christmas season that's swell!
(I might drop by for a catchup post before Christmas. We'll see when my laptop comes.)
Speaking of poetry, I had written a poem about the First Snow and the writing program I go to wanted it especially for their Christmas card that they send to a whole bunch of people. God is so mindful of us and our wishes. =] I feel like such a happy author! (Or the beginnings of one...)
And, exciting because of waiting a long time to see it, my dad checked out National Treasure 2 from the library. =] I hope it does not relate much to the first one, because I have forgotten about all of it.
Tonight's Movie Night at Cubbies, so I'd better be heading out for now.
Good bye for now!
*waves and leaves as the crisp afternoon puts on the frosty evening gown* I love this time of year! <3

Mortereve, all! Well, I've survived three tests so far! Only three more to go.
Mmmm, I love the cello as well, Ben. It has such a rich, warm, mellow sound. Heh, those look like pretty neat flutes. Do they sound like a regular flute, or more like a recorder?
Have you seen National Treasure 2? Our library has it...I'm checking it out as soon as I get a chance.
I just noticed I didn't reply to this in my last post. Sorry! No, I haven't seen it yet. I hope to, though, during Christmas break.
Ahh!! And I missed Winter's birthday! Well... happy belated wishes to you! I hope you had a lovely birthday.
Hm, well... I can see how curtsying could be a problem, I suppose. Tangling of the legs could result in a very complicated and awkward sprawling position on the floor.
That's great, PoN! Be sure to let me know when you have finished.
Yes, Kate, I certainly do like the minor key pieces. I love the mysterious/somewhat haunting sound.
