*trudges into the Square with a sigh* Back to school today. At least Christmas break is coming up soon...

Ketchup:

*waves back to Benjamin* How're you doing? :)

Miss Rose, I've never been to any national parks. But I agree with you - I'd like to go to the Grand Canyon sometime too. That would be really cool. :)

Lol, greenleaf, I suppose we must agree to disagree. ;) You like Evanlyn better, and I like Alyss better. Lol, oh well.
Yeah, my anniversary is coming up on the 11th! :D

*waves to Kingskid* Nice to see you around again! :)

Miss Rose, yes, National Treasure is awesome!! I love Riley too! I love the part where Ben has just stolen the Declaration and he's walking across the street, and Abigail Chase is following him, and Riley, who is in the car, says, "Uh, Ben, that mean Declaration lady is behind you." LOL!
Lol, yeah, I suppose you like to sleep in now that school's started. ;))

Good Mortereve everyone! :) *waves* How is everyone today? :) I am well- we are getting more snow...and apparently we're under a winter storm watch...the first for my province this year. :) Which is great, of course, except for it's supposed to be storming the day my uncle is due to arrive, so we're not sure what's happening with that. >_> Anyways.

And now for some catch up. :)

Hi and goodbye ForeverFan.

Hello and goodbye to you too! :D ;) ;)) How are things for you? :)

Thanks, FF! We had a fantastic vacation. :D

Hurray! :D ;) How is life for you? :) Anything exciting? *reads further down* Ah, I'm sorry to hear that you have a cold- I hope you feel better soon! Has your snow melted yet?

Thank you very much for you prayers! Yes, I hope that I won't freeze while I'm there. ;))

You're welcome! How did it go? :)

I'm glad to hear it! Ah, how fun that you have already started your Christmas break! :) I hope that you enjoy it! :D

Thanks! :D :) :) So! How is life for you? :) How is your sister with the twins doing? :)

Haha, that would be...interesting! ;)) Austen does reuse a lot of character names.

Yup- she sure does! ;)) But I guess it was more just the common female names for that time period than anything... But it would have been so much easier if she didn't re-use several names, eh? ;)

Hmm, not much! I'm enjoying having time to read and such again after NaNo. :) And I'm excited for Christmas and second semester! How about you? How's everything going? :)

Yay! :) Being able to read after NaNo is such a wonderful thing, isn't it? Last year I felt like that- especially since I wasn't sure how NaNo was going to go, so I left off reading on purpose. But this year I was able to read more and stuff...but yeah. ;) I kind of know how it feels. :)

I'm pretty good, thanks! :) My uncle is coming up in a few days for my brother's birthday so I'm planning what Christmas gifts I'll give him. Last year I gave him a jar filled with snow- this year I'm giving him

. Anyways. As you can tell we like giving each other joke gifts...and stuff.

I'm doing all right, I suppose. The weekend has definitely cheered me up! I'm finishing up some projects and taking several tests this week, so.. I'll be busy. *sigh* No, I didn't have any ill side effects from the flu vaccine. :) And fortunately, I was able to receive the nose spray. (I'm not too fond of shots.) ;))

Glad your family is all well now!

I hope your tests go well! Will you be on Christmas break soon? Nose spray...that sounds interesting- would you care to, er, articulate? (Especially how it's done. I've never heard of that way of getting shots before...)

Thank you!

No problem, I hope you like them!

Fantastic! It all went great, and it was lots of fun :] Same here, but I agree, it's a good kind of busy and it's nice to have things to do :] I can't believe it's December already! This year went by super-fast.

Thanks! Alas, since we're temporarily on dial up it's hard to load videos and music and such, so I'll have to wait until we get our high speed back. :(

Oh good! :) I'm glad that it was great- wonderful! :) Yes....this year has gone by so very fast, it almost feels like it's gone by so fast that we've missed the little special moments of the year- not always the big holidays, but the times and moments that are captured into our memories but they aren't anything particularly grand or big, you know? I hope 2010 goes at least a little slower....

Well! I guess this is it, and that means I should be off. Cheers all!

Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
Kind folks of old, you come again no more.

Mortereve all! We got a bunch of snow yesterday! :D

I don't know if any of you remember me, but I thought I would say that I am still alive

Hmm... Djaq... Djaq... that name sounds familiar... I think I vaguely remember. :P Good to know you're alive. :P

Thanks! ;)) You did really good. Oh, you left out Riley's little "Edison?" line. :)
"Delicious jams and jellies?"
A couple of my nephews watched both National Treasure movies for the first time recently, so we were quoting them when I saw them on Sunday. ;))

Thanks. Oops. I'm afraid I won't get this all by memory, so I'm going to write as much as I can by memory, and then check it by the movie to change anything I messed up on. Sound ok?
"No. That's where they clean, repair, and maintain all the document and the storage housings when they're not on display or in the vault. Now, when the case needs work they take it out of the vault across the hall into the Preservation Room. The best time for us, or Ian, to steal it would be during the gala this weekend while the guards are distracted by the VIPs upstairs, but we'll make our way to the Preservation Room, where there'll be much less security." Whew!
Aw, that's neat!

"I will do anything. Arthur's life is worth a hundred of mine." Merlin (I haven't seen the show, but I saw a clip from it. ;)) )

"Really?" NT1 (Ben to Abigail in the underground shafts. Yeah, really famous quote, I know. ;)) )

"Who said that?!"

"Sorry."

Yay! :D I'm excited for you! You're almost there! :D

Thanks. Yup!

And, yay for an authentic, all-red ketchup post!

*waves to Jojo* Good to see you drop by!

And... Aunty Jo!! Wish you could be around more often!

Ugh. I've been having one too many busy weeks. *sigh* But as you said, Christmas break is coming!! And my Rhetoric teacher is absolutely lovely! She doesn't assign any homework over breaks! All I have to do over Christmas break is read a book. *sigh of contentment* I'm really looking forward to Christmas.

And I hope you get plenty of rest over your busy week!! I always manage to stay up too late when I should really be getting sleep... *guilty* :P

Same here. Yes, it's exciting! Yay for very little homework over Christmas break! I won't have much either.

Haha, same here. Saturdays give me much-needed rest, so I should be all set.

@ NN. O.K.... I think I'll just stay out of the conversation then. :- ;)

Lol!

Well, ours was way back in October, but it was a good one. :) We were able to see some cousins on my mom's side of the family that we only get to see once or twice a year, so that is partly what made it a whole lot more fun. :)

Oh, that's right. *smacks forehead* Sounds great!

BTW, you'll be happy to know I got Get Smart Season 3 as part of an early birthday celebration yesterday. Yay! I thought of you as soon as I opened it. ;)) I've only seen the first two episodes.

No, you're coming up with a conclusion about what an impostor would do logically. But if the impostor behaves illogically your logical conclusion is worthless. (I think I'm digging a deeper ditch here. Too much deeper and I won't be able to get back out.) ;)

No, no, no, I am not saying what I think an impostor would do if he were determining what to do following the rules of logic. Rather, I am using my own logic to determining what an impostor would do based upon his own reasoning, however illogical that may be. (Lol, shall we end this fruitless debate now? ;)) )

*waves to Nellie* Good to see you, again!

*waves to PP*!!!!!

*waves to Pebbles* :D

*waves to Ara* :-h

*starts laughing at the Ruby-Winter post*

Ruby: *fumbles through giant red gift bag* Let's see...here's Djaq's teddy bear and a rubber ducky for Cor and a box of dragon treats for Vern. And uh...pink diary for NarniaNut? *shrugs* I'm not Santa. *tosses diary over the edge* Hey look in here, Winter! I found Peter's sword!! *waves sword in the air*

LOL! Uh... thanks (?) for the diary. ;))

Narnia Girl, that's great that you got to see National Treasure!

Oh, that's nice that you got to see your niece and nephew, NN95! Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to spend time with family members.

Yeah, it was great. Indeed!

NN95, hmph, the only reason you got the first post of the day back on Tuesday was because that was the day my family was going on vacation. :p I was busy packing and didn't get a chance to get on. ;))

Ahaha, I see. ;))

I don't see why not! It makes no logical sense to be up early in the morning anyway. ;))

Exactly! I completely agree! Some people are just mixed up, I suppose. ;))

Oops, I didn't notice I'd done that! This is what happens when you work on a post over several days. ;))

No problem, I know the feeling. :P

I especially enjoyed National Treasure.

Yeah, another new NT fan!

I'm not surprised by that. I've always thought you to be a "computer guy"... or something of that sort.

Well I'll take that as a compliment, then. No matter how it was intended. ;))

No worries. I ramble way too much. I've been doing well, thanks. Yourself?

Well, sometimes I think I don't ramble enough (with such short responses!) ;)) Anyway, I'm glad to hear that. I've been doing quite well, too, thanks!

*waves to Kk* Wow, it's great to see a lot of faces that haven't been in the Square for quite a while.

Oh, that reminds me. Apparently this is unusual, but my school has an eleven day Christmas break this year... less than two weeks. :-o I guess we started later than usual, but still! That's pathetic. ;))

Wow, that's weird! I feel sorry for you!

Whew, I had about 5 pages to catch up on. I skimmed a ton, yet this post is still pretty big. Anyway, see ya everyone. Have a great mortereve, all!

Mortereve, all! I hope everything is going well for you all this new week! Everything is fine here. We've been Christmas decorating for a few days--which means our house is slightly out of order. We've got boxes her, there, in the corner, and on the table! Thank goodness we're taking care of that today! We're getting the house back in it's normal order.

Very little occurred on the weekend. Friday = movie + Saturday = home + Sunday = church.

Now it's time for another CATCHUP, yay!

Yes, I did NaNo too. :) Wow, you still did really good!! :D And, best of luck on finishing it! It's great that you have the dedication to keep going! I haven't finished my story yet, and I need to work on it. ;))

Okay, cool. Well, not as good as most people. Yes, though, I must say that my inspiration is running low...I have uh...writer's block! Yes, that's it ;) .

I didn't know Edmund P was such a fan of Barbie.

Haha! Did I really ask for that =)) ? I thought I was getting the Screwtape Letters? and what about my Blu-Ray Prince Caspian? Come on, Ruby and Winter, take the list back to Santa and he'll tell you what the list says--maybe you should talk to him about that handwriting too... ;) :D

Ah, so you shopped for two hours on Black Friday, EP. Did you get anything good? I'll keep praying for your friend's mom!

Yes and yes. I got a flatscreen TV and a Blu-Ray player. And my sisters got some other stuff. Thanks! So, when is your Christmas Break :) ?

Oh, that's too bad! I understand, though; it'd be really hard to come back that late at night. (-|

Yeah! I'd be about to pass out i-) !

Well, I did NaNo, although I didn't finish my novel, so I'm still working on that. :) And I'm excited to be getting ready for Christmas! :D How about you?

Man, a lot of NarniaWebbers did NaNo! Yep, Christmas it right around the corner! Well, I've been working on my NaNo--but now it's kind of just turned into a pleasure thing...I might finish this one up and then write a sequel for next year's NaNoWriMo. And I'm excited about Christmas :D !

Wow, Edmund P. I'll certainly keep your friend's mom in my prayers.

Thanks so much !

Yep :P With Christmas coming life should get a whole lot more interesting though! Or at least I hope :P

Ditto /:) .

Hows Skillet? I have heard about them but have not listened to them yet...

They are AMAZING! I started listening to them this past summer and now they're my favorite band! You should really listen to them :) !

Well, I was wrong. It snowed. And snowed. And... snowed. ;))

Yeahhh...not here. Only really cold (or cold for us at least) and cloudy :| .

Well, that's about it. Oh, and I nearly forgot. My friend's mother is doing a lot better! Her temperature is now back to normal and she is back at home! Though she will have to be on antibiotics for 2-4 weeks or 4-8 weeks. And the Doctors still have no idea what it is. Thank you all for the prayers !

Well, I suppose that's a bit of an unfair question as you're only two episodes in, and I don't think there's really that much difference between Season 3 and the previous two, but, er, anyways. ;)) I hope you enjoy it- I'm sure you will, though. ;)

Only two years, Ben? Wow, that's great. It would probably take me five. ;))

Oh, cool! Do you play any instruments?

Are you good at it? answer Without being too modest ;))

Heh, you make it hard. ;)) I wouldn't count myself as really good at it. *shrugs* I've played for seven years, so I can play pretty well... but, I don't know. ;) You'll just have to hear me play and decide for yourself. ;)) (I'm terrible at judging myself.)

You, ah, actually ate them? :-o

Thankfully, no. But you can be sure I heard a detailed account. ;)

Ah, all right. I see. :) It looks like a house I'd like to visit someday.

I'm sure the violin situation will turn out well in the end. And I've always pronounced Mayaserena the way I think it sounds. Maya-serene-ah.

Aw, thank you. :) *nods* It sounds like a... distinguished, elegant name fit for a novel. ;)

*likes the "Ditto Town Display"* ;))

Hehe, Narnia Girl, that part is great. And then when they are exploring the Charlotte, and Ben is trying to figure out the part of the clue that mentions the "iron pen"....

Shaw: "Prison."
Riley. "Albuquerque. See, I can do it too! Snorkel."

I love that part! ;)) ;))

Thank you, Fanny! Actually, we don't get out of school until the 23rd. I think we started late this year, because we only have an eleven day vacation.

Hm. For the nose spray, they just... stuck a little plastic thing up your nose, pushed the end, and the medicine sprayed up your nose. ;)) It was a bit...er... "different", but there was no pain involved. (And it took about twenty seconds.) ;)) Not much to it.

Yeah, another new NT fan!

Yep, you're definitely right about that. :D

Oh, no worries. It was meant as a compliment. ;))

Ruby and Winter: That was absolutely the best show yet. ;)) Great job! I laughed so hard. Nick's pink diary and Edmund P's barbies? My oh my. ;))

*comes into the Square with a book in her hand* Yesterday at the library a worker recommended Lionboy by ZiZou Corder. I've only started the first chapter or so, but it's quite good so far.

Piano lessons went well yesterday. I'm still working on "I'll Be Home for Christmas," and I started working on "Angels We Have Heard on High" as well. It's one of my favorite songs. :)

Ketchup:

Ohhh Benjamin you're lucky that you got school off because of your mom's birthday. I envy you. :p Tell your mom I said happy birthday!

FF, life is busy but going well! :p Thanks. I'm feeling a little better today. I hate having a cold at Christmastime, when we're so busy and there's no time to rest. :( Oh well.
Some of the snow has melted, in the edges around our yard, but we still have a little bit left. We're supposed to get sleet sometime tonight...I hope we don't.

*waves to Liberty* How are you? :)

NN95, National Treasure is awesome! One of my new favorite movies. :p Riley is hilarious and I love Abigail Chase.

Ooh, EP, flatscreen TVs are really cool! :D
Hmm, my mom said we're going to finish up this week and maybe next week, then we're taking a Christmas break. How about you?
Oh, and that's great that your friend's mom is feeling better! That's good to hear!

Miss Rosario, that's one of my favorite Riley quotes too. :p I love quoting him - he's hilarious. Lol. And I like the part where they were meeting with Dr. Chase to tell her that someone was going to steal the Declaration.

Ben: "The treasure map...it's invisible."

Abigail: "Oh...right."

Riley: "And that's where we lost the Department of Homeland Security."

;))

Seventeen days till Christmas, WinterStar! :p When does your Christmas break start?

Okay, then, all done with ketchup. Mortereve all!

Oh good! :) I'm glad you're feeling a bit better today! :) Yes...Christmas time is a rather hard time to be ill- I hope you're better soon! :) Do you have many Christmas-y activities and events planned?

Aww! I hope you get more snow and not sleet. :) Or, I could send you some of mine, we have a good start on the annual snow fall with more coming, so I don't think it would make that much of a difference if I sent you some of mine. ;) ;))

Now I've seen 6 episodes. But, yes, I am enjoying it quite a bit. I suppose there isn't much difference between the seasons... So, I'm assuming you seen all of Season 3 by now?

Ah, glad to hear it! :) There's always something so, well, tempting, I guess, about having a new Season of a favourite television show, it always makes me want to watch as many episodes as possible to see what happens next, eh? ;) We're almost done Season 3, we have one last episode on Disc 3, I think, then all of Disc 4. :) It's been such a fun ride. ;))

And I am off. I have some other things that must be done. Cheers all!

Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
Kind folks of old, you come again no more.
