*skips into the Square* Back to school today, unfortunately. Though I really shouldn't complain, 'cause I'm getting off the rest of this week, besides today. :D We're going on vacation. We're leaving tomorrow, and we'll be back on Friday. Not sure whether or not I'll have a chance to make a ketchup tomorrow morning...as we'll be packing and getting ready to leave, and all...

Ketchup:

Eusy, sounds like you had fun with your sister. :D I posted in RP. Don't think I'll be on the comp at all during Tues.-Fri., since we'll be on vacation. So if you want to, you can take over Chrissa and Ryan and Kayla, and even Nicole if you wanna.

Greenleaf, I definitely agree, all the Ranger's Apprentice characters are very original. (Ha, I always liked Alyss a little better than Evanlyn ;) )
Oh, and congrats on your 1 year anniversary!! That's cool! :D

*waves to Liberty Hoffman* Welcome to the Square! :)

FF, Princess Academy was very good. It was about a girl named Miri who lived on the mountains in a small village in a secluded part of the kingdom, and one day when she was about 14, some soldiers came to the mountains and announced that every girl ages 11-18 (I think those are the right ages...) had to attend a princess academy for a year, so they could learn how to be princesses. And once the year was over, the prince of the kingdom would come to the academy and choose one of the girls to be his wife. It was really intriguing and exciting. :D
Yes, snow is definitely much better! I hope we get some snow by Christmas.
Oh, that's cool! Christmas trees are so much fun to decorate. :)

*waves to Winter* How are you? :)

*hugs LL* Yes, we had a great time at our grandparents'. We were busy, but we had fun nonetheless. :D Did you go shopping on Black Friday?

Ruby, wow! Congrats on finishing your NaNo - that's fantastic!!

*heads off to do some packing for vacation*

*cheers everyone who won NaNo* Fantastic!! :D Bravo!! :)

Lady Liln: Hurray for only three more weeks! :) Thank you for the prayers! :)

Let's see. My projects were mainly social science (I think it's called), and pretty much detailing why I support certain things and discussing it with those who are of a slightly more opposite view point. (Meaning, we agree on quite a few of the important things, but differ on this particular subject). Making accurate and correct statements is something that is really important to me, hence all the research to get a better and more firm grasp on things. Meaning, I always knew before why I supported what I did, but I never really had an "official" statement and always felt my reasons were never solid and real. :) If you'd like I can PM you with more details (I'm being slightly vague here due to the nature of the project and the forum rules) if you like, :) but no pressure. I don't mind sharing more details or anything if you want to hear more. :)

Narnia Girl: Have fun on your vacation! :D

Re The Princess Academy: ah, okay, thanks! :) Funny, I have an odd recollection of seeing that book at the bookstore one of the last times we went, but I can't say for sure. Hmm. Anyways, next time I see it, if it's goodly priced, I'll have to check it out. :)

Well, I should be off to do school work. Cheers everyone! :)

Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing well.
Today is my 1 year anniversary on NarniaWeb! :) It seems like I've been here all my life though! :P You all are so wonderful!

(About Switchfoot) WHOA!!!! That's... amazing! Wow! Really, that's awesome! 😮 That's... yeah! Now I'm stunned.
Oh come on... There have been quite a few posts since you posted that--and no one else has mentioned it! I guess they didn't read it all.
Anyways... Wow! That's awesome!!

Yeah.. I was pretty stunned as well :P Hehe, well they probably didn't read it because it looked like it was addressed to EP. Since it was under his quote... I guess. ;))

*waves to PC and Greenleaf*

That's so cool that you play the harp...my friend has one, and I taught myself to play one song on it, but that was all. I'd like to learn more sometime.
That's really cool that you're playing the harp in the Nutcracker ballet though!
I love playing Christmas music too! I got a Gaither Vocal Band Christmas CD several weeks ago and I've been listening to it tons.

Yeah, you should get your friend to teach you! It's really a lot easier if you can play the piano. :)
Yesterday we were looking for Christmas music on the radio and one of Relient K's more obnoxious Christmas songs came on... my mom changed the station... I was just sitting there like rats :p

Well! who's going Black Friday shopping bright and early Friday morning ? *Raises hand* Yes, I'm afraid it's true. I mean once you look at those amazing deals you just can't resist! I'm getting a flatscreen and a Blu-Ray player for starters--unless I see something else I absolutely cannot live without (which I doubt) .

Haha! We stayed cooped up in the house on Friday. I still haven't done any Christmas shopping yet. So, did you get the flatscreen and blu-ray player?

WHAT???!!!!???? NO WAY! THAT IS FREAKING CRAZY! INSANE! YOU ARE SO LUCKY! THAT'S GREAT . Great job on the song too! You always do a fantastic job .

Lol! Thank you! (Sorry, when I copy text, all the smilies disappear, so it looks weird :P)

Congrats to everyone who finished NaNoWriMo!

FF, I'm glad you rather enjoyed your assignments! :] Good for you... I can't do that even if I try

Very cool news about Switchfoot and your song! That is fantastic!

I hope your Nutcracker Ballet performance goes well- and you're renting a huge old house? Sweet! *loves huge old houses however impractical they may be

Thank you!
The first rehearsal was yesterday, and it went pretty well. Right now we're just practicing with the orchestra, but we should join the ballet in a couple days. And, the huge old house was awesome! :) It was probably about 7,000 sq. ft.. so yes, definitely huge :P

It's nearly midnight and I just got back from a lovely week with my family and relatives, celebrating an early Christmas.

Hey, that sounds like us! ;)) Except we didn't celebrate Christmas early, we only celebrated my birthday early.. :P
What I got for my birthday was pretty neat -- basically, plane tickets to go to Atlanta and spend a couple days w/ my friend from NarniaWeb who I've met twice now. It should be fun. :)

Mortereve all! Lots to catch up on...

*waves back* How are ya?

Just fine, and you?

Hey, NN95! I haven't spoken to you in awhile! How goes it on the other side of the screen? :)

Hullo, Ed! Hehe, things on my side of the screen are just fine! How about yours?

Eh, I never stay up late, NN95. *shrug* I'd get too tired.
How'd your Thanksgiving go? :D

And I have trouble getting to bed before 11. We're complete opposites. ;))
Quite well, thank you! My nephew is growing up, and I got to see my new niece for the first time. (They're actually not my nephew and niece, but they're my cousins kids, so, since I don't have any brothers and sisters, it's as if they are.)

NN95: My word count for NaNo is... *checks* 38,368. :p

And... what's the goal? Sorry, I don't know too much about NaNoWriMo...

*waves to malkah*

Sonny, it's great to see you drop by!! :)

Did anyone get some great stuff on Black Friday? I never bother... :p

I never get much, but I do always check the electronics fliers, and this year I picked up a wireless mouse.

I've been doing pretty good, thanks. :) Oh! I wanted to tell you, I had a Spanish test last Wednesday and got 95%. :D Estoy feliz! =] (We've been doing "ser" and "estar" which I really don't like... 8-| )

Glad to hear it! Ah, good for you! :D Let me tell you, you'll be using ser and estar for as long as you take Spanish. Those verbs are very fundamental. Make sure you get those down very well and know when each is used. (BTW, I took a Spanish test today and got a 94%, so I guess you're better than I am. ;)

Yeah, that was pretty sad. :( I wanted to see Bonus features, but I guess we'll have to wait until it comes out.

Heh, one the camera starts working, on will be up! =] *searches for a fedora emoticon, and finds none*

Oh well. Yeah, Redbox never has any bonus features. What do you mean, you'll have to wait until it comes out. It's already out. /:) Anyway, we might buy or rent the two-disc version to see some special features.

Great! :)

@ NN. Ah, O.K. That explains everything and yes, that made perfect sense. :) So, Riley=Djaq.

Good. But, the lines don't always go back and forth, like if there are three people, so sometimes I say a line of Riley's and Djaq will say a line of somebody else. So don't necessarily think that Riley=Djaq.

How was your Thanksgiving? Did all go well?

Quite well, thank you! How was yours?

Maybe imposters don't follow logical reasoning! Did ya ever think of that? ;)

It doesn't matter whether or not impostors use logical reasoning. I am only coming to a conclusion about impostors using logical reasoning. ;) ;))

Aiden, the break has been nice; I wish I had had more time for NWed though. Ah well, Christmas break comes soon enough.

I'll bet. How long was it? Oh well, hope you have more time during Christmas. How long is that break?

I skimmed a lot... That's it for me. Mort'reve all!

Greetings fellow Narnia Webbers! I hope you all are having as lovely a morning as I am!! It's so nice to see the sun shine after nearly a full week of grey and cloudy. :) How is everyone doing?

Well, I've just returned from a lovely vacation with family! We celebrated Thanksgiving and an early Christmas with my dad's mom and a couple of our cousins and uncles and aunts. It was lots of fun. I'm a bit disappointed though, because one of my presents hasn't arrived yet in the mail and my parents refuse to tell me what it is!! It was supposed to arrive at my grandmother's before we got there, but it didn't and so everyone else got their present, but I have no idea what mine is and I'm going to die guessing!! :((

My dad has really got me stumped on this present. He says it's like nothing else I've ever gotten and all my guesses so far have been "no, you're wrong". :- I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Hi, Aiden!! How are you? How has your week been?

Great Ruby-Winter joint post once again, you two! Still say you should create a Ruby-Winter account. ;)

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I've suggested that a couple times to Winter, but we're not sure yet... ;) Maybe we will, now that we've got a suggestion from you. :P

Oh good! :) I'm glad that you were able to accomplish everything you needed to get done, it's always a nice feeling not having that hang over your head, eh? Until the next round, of course. >_>

Hi FF!! I actually only got half of my story completed in 50,000 words, so I won't have the story completely finished until next year. *sigh* I have a lot of editing work to do. :P

Ruby/Winter, I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that the guest star Bravo was not entirely supposed to be in the show? ;)) The tornado was very nice and... um... colourful.

Haha! A bit crazy, right? We just put Bravo in there because he (my brother) was shooting rubber bands in our direction while we were working on our joint-post.

I'll warn you, the joint posts written from my house will probably be a tad crazier than the ones written from Winter's. I do almost have like twice as many siblings as she has. ;) :P

The tornado was Winter's idea!! :D

OH MY GOODNESS, KAT!!! I TOTALLY FREAKED OUT WHEN I READ YOUR STORY ABOUT JON FOREMAN LISTENING TO YOUR PIANO COVER!!! THAT IS SO COOL!!! AND HE WROTE ABOUT IT ON TWITTER? OH, THAT IS SO AMAZING!!!

I listened to your piano cover of the song and it was really beautiful. You definitely deserve the credit he gave you. :) So happy for you! *HUGS*

Ruby, thanks, I keep changing my av/sig, but they're still always SF related. ;)) Are you doing anything special for Thanksgiving?

We went and visited family for Thanksgiving. It was a lot of fun and I was so happy to see my oldest sis. :) We usually don't get to see her until Christmas break.

Glad to hear that your Thanksgiving went well, Kat!! Aw, that is so cool that you get to go visit a NW friend. :) You have to come visit me sometime or I could go visit you.

We actually don't live too far away and I have a couple friends living right around your area. :)

Hey Ruby! *waves and sends Ruby a hug* How are piano lessons going?

They're going very well, thank you. :) *hugs Girlee back* My Uncle Tom (over Thanksgiving) gave me all of his old piano books. I was so happy! My mom doesn't have enough piano music around the house. Most of all our music is violin sheet music. :P How are you? Has everything been going well?

By the way, I love your avvy!! That movie is so awesome. :)

@ Ruby and Winter. Hmm, nice cyclone.... though, I'm sure there is a less.... destructive way of getting around. BTW, watch out for witches wearing ruby slippers and stripped soaks! ;)

Haha! Winter is a very destructive person. ;) You should see her with a Styrofoam cup. :P

Aw, I hope Thanksgiving will let you get some rest :) glad that it's going well!

Haha. It was actually pretty crazy for the most part, but it was immense fun! And it was so nice to get away from school craziness for a week. :)

How have you been? Everything going alright?

Ruby: Thanks. Oh, and it's my friend's mother not my friend. Indeed! yes always next year or JuNoWriMo :) !

Hehe, sorry about that...anyways, I'll keep praying.

Yes, I'm definitely eager for next NaNoWriMo to come sooner!! But for now...editing!

WINTER!!!! Just had to congratulate you on NaNoWriMo! *hugs* And, yes, you have to let me read your story. :) :D

I've really missed you, by the way. What do you say we celebrate our winning NaNoWriMo over a cup of coffee this afternoon after Biology class? :)

Sonny, I don't believe we've met before. I'm Ruby. *extends hand* :)

Well, I'd better be off now!! I have a Biology class in about an hour...and I'm still in my pajamas! :-o

God bless, all!

Assorted things I learned going to a professional football game on Sunday (Jaguars vs. 49ers):

- Tailgate parties are great for free food...
- ...because the food inside the stadium is ridiculously overpriced.
- The biggest boon about watching a game in the stadium is the atmosphere; particularly, absorbing the energy of the crowd as they cheer their team through the game.
- When attempting a 4th-down conversion (i.e. trying to get the 10 yards for that first down instead of just punting it back to the other team), make sure your quarterback is well-protected, or else he will get sacked.
- There are many ways to attempt a field goal. You can kick the ball through the goalposts (which, by the way, is the only way that will actually get you points). You can kick the ball out to the sides of the goalposts. You can also kick the ball short of the goalposts. Well, okay, that much I already knew. What I didn't know is that you can also kick the ball into the goalposts. Alas, as cool of a feat that is, it doesn't score points.
- Helping to hold up a giant blue flag (parallel to the ground) can be quite a strain on your hands. However, doing so for ten minutes during halftime in exchange for watching the game for free (and getting 13 volunteer hours to your credit in the process) is definitely worth it.
- There is a catch, though. There is always a catch. This time, it's that once I return, for some reason, every place serving dinner is closed... Thank goodness for neighbors who ordered pizza.

All in all, fun times.

Mortereve all!

Hi, Aiden!! How are you? How has your week been?

Quite well, thank you! Last week was nice and relaxing, which is good this this week will be very busy... :| Anyway, Christmas break is quickly approaching! :D

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I've suggested that a couple times to Winter, but we're not sure yet... ;) Maybe we will, now that we've got a suggestion from you. :P

I did indeed, as always.

Yeah, you should! ;))

stardf, how cool you were at the Jags/49ers game! What a neat experience.

Did I seriously get the first post of the day? Where's Narnia Girl?

Ah well, that's it for me. Mort'reve all.

Good Mortereve, all! How goes all on the other side of cyberspace? It goes well here, thank heaven :) . I'm afraid that I do have some bad new though...my mother's friend is still ill. The doctors now again aren't sure of what it is what caused it. Her temperature is still high. But now what her temperature is doing is dropping below the normal and then going above normal. Just keep praying!

Catchup!

Narnia Girl: I'll say a busy day :-o ! I only went from 400AM. :-$

Lor: About the same--boring as usual :p .

Lady_Liln: It did! It went very well :D .

MissA: Yes, I did! I had a little trouble with my Blu-Ray, though. But I got it fixed and it's working perfectly now! Well, what it was was completely different from what I was thinking. I thought that I needed the High Definition Multimedia Interface cord, so I bought that and that wasn't it. So then I called the company to talk to them and they said that I had a faulty player! So I returned it and got a different one :) .

NN95: Everything is great here! I can't complain :) .

Ick, small post...Good Evening, all!

I met Georgie and Skandar AND saw the film in one evening.

Mortereve, all! Hope your Tuesdays went well! :) Not too much happening here, except for last night, when my family was able to help process some Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes! :) We worked one of their warehouse lines for a few hours and had an amazing time! This was my third year being able to do it, and it's so neat to see the boxes pouring in and to pray for each one you process. :) If any of you live near one of the processing centers and have the chance to go, I'd highly recommend it! :D

Ketchup!
Going waaay back to page 62:

With Mr. Collins, it's not a matter of him being "right" or "wrong," or even faithful or unfaithful to the book. I just find the '95 version of the characters so slimy and odiously disgusting that I have a hard time watching him. It's really at the point of caricature.

Ditto about the '95 Mr. Collins! He was simply overly ridiculous. I doubt such a person could exist back then. :P

I see where you're both coming from, but isn't the character supposed to be someone that's utterly repulsive? ;) Otherwise, it's not so much of a shock

Spoiler
when Charlotte marries him! :-o
I'm curious, what do you think of the '95 Mrs. Bennet? Her character could be seen as bordering on caricature even moreso than Mr. Collins, I think.

For Thanksgiving we usually visit our grandparents for a few days. They live several hours away from us. :) What about you?

That sounds like fun! :) Did your whole family gather at your grandparents, then?
Well, normally, it's just us and my grandmother at our house (we don't have much family in the area). This year, however, we went to my grandmother's and my aunt and cousin joined us, which was fun. :)
So what does your family like to do for Christmas?

And I'm glad you had good news about the braces! :D

I think I had heard a few songs by them before, but that was a cool way to waste spend my evening.

Aren't they amazing? :D Some of the pieces are so beautiful, it's hard to imagine a movie that would ever be magnificent enough to deserve the music. ;) I'm glad you enjoyed them!

It seems like a really dumb story, but I'm having fun so, whatever. *shrugs* Oh! I have 19,199 words! :D

There's no such thing as a dumb story! ;) And I agree, the point is to have fun amidst all the crazyness.
Conga-rats on reaching 50K! :D That's great! Are you going to pursue your novel afterwards (editing and such)?

*waves, albeit belatedly, at NaiadWaker*
Hello! Glad you dropped in! :)

Here is a link of the oreo heaven balls recipe:
http://www.paisleypetunia.com/blog/2009/09/oreo-heaven/

Thanks! I might have to try making those sometime; they look delicious! :)

Ooh, I love costumes (especially from that time period), so I'm looking forward to seeing them!

Did you get a chance to see the movie yet? :)

Are you a Josh Groban fan? If so, what songs of his do you like? :)

I'm a growing Josh Groban fan. ;)) For awhile, all I liked (or really knew) of his music was his Christmas CD, but I started listening to his other work and really enjoying it! :) My favorite song would have to be "Remember When It Rained," and then "So She Dances" is next, I think. Oh, and "In Her Eyes," and "Awake". :D Of his non-English songs, I love "Per Te" and "La Tua Semplicita," which is a duet he does with Placido Domingo. :)
I take it you're a fan, too? ;) What songs of his do you like? :)

It's good to see you in the Square again, Edmund P! And I'll be praying for your friend's mom's healing! :)

Yes, Psycho is a Hitchcock film. I thought it was good, though most of the scares were not scary to me. Probably the fact that most of the "jump scenes" have been shown so many times on TV and the fact the "shower scene" has been spoofed so much kind of kill some of the suspense from those parts. The most frightening scene for me was the ending where "mother" is talking.... :-ss Overall, a good thriller/horror film.

That's good to know! I might have to check it out. :) So are you a Hitchcock fan in general?

I liked the fact that not much makeup was used on the actors/actresses. It gives it a realistic feel. :) I liked Anne, I wasn't sure about Wentworth, and I thought all the Musgroves were great. :)

I really appreciate that they let the actors's appearances stay very human and ordinary. :) It makes Anne's physical transformation over the course of the movie even more striking! :D Hmm, Wentworth's performance took a few rewatchings for me, and still, there's bits that I don't care for. But overall, I think it's much better than the '07 Wentworth. ;) I'm glad you enjoyed it! Are you planning on watching the '07 version as well?

*waves to Ruby* How's life? :) I don't think I've said this before, but I love your sig! The colors are lovely, especially on the green cloak. :)

*waves to Ben and Joe* How's everything for you both?

Watziznehm, a very belated welcome to the Square! It's nice to meet you! :) *waves* You're welcome to call me either malkah or Mal. :)

I finally am getting piano lessons. My mom and I are having so much fun. I think she misses being a full-time music teacher. Anyway, I'm really enjoying them.

Yay, I'm glad you're enjoying the lessons! :) And how neat to have your mom as your teacher; she knows exactly how to teach you and what you'd be most interested in playing. :)

Anything really exciting happen to you of late?

Well, other than last night (points to top of post), not really. :) I'm looking forward to Christmas, of course, and some time off! :) How about you?

*laughs out loud at the Betsie-Destined post* ;))

Perhaps it's being picky, but I found the 95 Elizabeth had somewhat harder features. Not ugly, of course, I hope I wouldn't call anyone that, but just not exactly what I imagined Elizabeth to look like.

Yes, and though I don't think she was ugly either, her sour temper showed too much on her face for her to be able to really charm anyone, which is unlike the book Elizabeth, I think. ;)

I think libraries could be great resources to have, if they had what I needed...and I realize that some libraries, especially those in small towns don't have the money to buy more books of all different types, but it's often easier I find to sometimes just buy the books I'm looking for than borrowing them from the library (mostly because they don't have them, or wouldn't be interested in buying them as they might not be borrowed enough) or interlibrary loaning them. Still. >_>

Yes! I'm constantly amazed at what my library doesn't have...and all the rubbish that fills the shelves instead. X(

*waves to greenleaf* How's everything going for you?

*waves thrice to Ruby, Dani, and Erubadhriel
* :p

Christmas is always the highlight of my year.

Mine too! :) Everything about it is just lovely! What are some of your favorite Christmas traditions? :)

Flam and Djaq! The double-post is great! ;)) The concert sounds like an amazing evening! That's so neat you both were able to meet David K. (and request Popeye). :D He's definitely one of the best violinists I've heard, so I imagine hearing him live must be a treat! :)

*rather wants to do a double post with someone now* ;))

May you pray for my studies lately? I've been doing well so far, but lately it's been alot on me and well, it's going to be a busy month like October was. So, prayers would be appreciated!

*is praying* I know you'll do fine! Do you get Christmas break soon?

I'm off to read "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Wilde...

Do tell me how you like that when you finish (or if you already have ;) )! There's a good chance I'll be acting in that this winter, but I've never read the play. Of course, I will before trying to act in it, but I'd love to hear what you thought. :)

*still has six pages left* #:-s

How are you?

I'm doing well, thanks! :) I'm enjoying Thanksgiving break and getting away from all the busyness for a bit. ;) What have you been up to lately?

*waves to Valia*
:)

*waves to Tiana*
So are you training to be a firefighter? :)

*waves to ceppault*

Djaq! How's everything going for you lately? :)

*waves to Cor*

*is doing a lot of waving* ;))

I should have my first lesson next Tuesday...

That's exciting you're taking violin! :D How did the lesson go?

I tried to play the flute today. :D It was ... semi-success and semi-trial&error. Purty interesting, and a little different from the piano, yet the same...

Are you taking flute lessons or teaching yourself? :)

*chuckles at the Ruby-Winter post* I love the tornado! ;))

How have you been doing?

I've been doing good for the most part, thanks! :) Life's been really busy, and I'm trying to finish up all college prep before Christmas, so along with looming deadlines, that's been interesting. ;) How about you? How's dance going for you? :)

*waves to malkah*!

*waves back*!! How've you been? :)

I like the Bright Star avvy very much. (I know nothing about Bright Star, but I've seen that shot before.) May I use it sometime? :)

Thanks! I have not seen the film either, but some of the images are just lovely. :) And you're welcome to use it whenever you like! :)

The whole family is going shopping, so there'll be that quite fun time of dodging other family members when you've got their presents, and hiding them in bags and in corners of the van...My biggest problem is currently how to get my sister's present without her seeing me. The store where it's at is, er, rather small, so one could be in one corner and almost see to the opposite corner (length ways...) so maybe she can be detained momentarily behind some shelves, or something.

*laughs* This sounds exactly like my family. ;)) And smuggling presents around the other family members does get very interesting, especially since you can't simply tuck them into a purse or something. ;) It's so much fun, though!

MissA, that is soo cool about your video being posted on Switchfoot's twitter! :D

*waves back to NG*! I've missed you too! :) That's great you're starting to work on piano Christmas music. So am I! :) Is "I'll Be Home for Christmas" hard to play? I would think some of the syncopation would be rather tricky on a piano. ;)

MissA, how neat that you get to play in The Nutcracker! That's such a beautiful ballet! :D I can see how all the work beforehand would be overwhelming, though; hope that goes really well for you!

I can barely get up for 8 each morning, so sleeping till 9 isn't much better. ;)) I'm a night owl, so I can stay up really late before I get tired.

*is the same way* The world doesn't really work well for night owls, though, sadly. (-| i-)

*waves back to greenleaf*

Tiana, your nephew is adorable! That's such a cute pic! :)

Sonny, hello! I don't believe we've met, but I'm malkah (or Mal, if you like). :)

*drools at Bella's description of the banana split* I never would have thought about putting crushed peppermint on a banana split, but that sounds really good! :D

*waves into the future at Cor* I really like your blog, by the way! Some of the soundtracks you've reviewed are ones I've been curious about, so it's good to get a detailed opinion on them! :)

We left at 9:30 in the morning, which gave me plenty of time to have a big nice chunk of chocolate cake for breakfast.

You had chocolate cake for breakfast!? :-o Oh my... [-x

*would love to have chocolate cake for breakfast*
:p

It sounds like you had a lovely weekend! :)

Happy (one day late) 1-year anniversary, greenleaf!

Mortereve all!

I had an orthodontist appointment yesterday. They said things are going well, but I still have to wear my retain full-time. However, they did say that at my next appointment (three months) I can start wearing it part-time. :D

*waves back*!! How've you been? :)

Quite well, thank you! Kinda disappointed I haven't gotten a PM in about three weeks. ;)) Just kidding, take your time. :)

*is the same way* The world doesn't really work well for night owls, though, sadly. (-| i-)

I know, right? Wouldn't it be nice if the whole world could shift its schedule for us night owls? ;))

*waves to NN95...*

Again? Ok, *waves back* ;))

Wow, this is short! Well, I'm off. Mort'reve all!

Goooooood mortereve all!

I don't know if any of you remember me, but I thought I would say that I am still alive, but have just been busy with NaNoWriMo among other things. ;)
Anyway, I got to my 50k word goal on the 28th! :D My novel isn't finished, but I hope to wrap it up soon. :) *happy sigh* I can have a life again! :P

It is time for a ketchup post and I'm considering doing this one in all red. . . What do y'all think? ...I think I will. :)

@ Flam and Djaq. Sounds like you had a great time at the concert! :D It was slightly difficult to tell who you liked more, but I finally figured it out. ;)

We did have a great time! The music was so beautiful! Oh, you did? ;) Good for you. ;)

A quick question: is the Djaq that chats on Jojo's blog you? :-

Yes, that's me. Did I say something incriminating? ;)

Yeah, that was sort...... :-?? *ahem* How's the weather wherever you are? ;) :p

Ah, the weather? 'Tis grand over here! ;) (Well, it's actually rainy today, but we'll overlook that. . .) What about the weather over in your direction? :P

Ah, it's hard but we manage somehow.

*Manage? I thought we do pretty well as a team. Granted, I do have to keep you in line a good deal of the time. Especially after that incident with Miss Destined and the chocolates.....*

...... /:) ....... *cough*

*laughs* I can imagine how it would be hard. ;)

You do a pretty good job at keeping him in line, Vern, and I commend you for that. ;)

Oh, I think that flambeau was the one who made the avatar you're using, but you are crediting me. :)

Djaq, yes, I am working on some new songs on the piano. :D My teacher and I are working on doing a song by ear. It's called "Build an Ark" by the Gaither Vocal Band...it's lots of fun so far!

How fun! That's great! :D How is it coming along now?

Ah, I understand, but I do hope you can make it by more often. :)

I shall try. :)

Yeah, well, I barely go anywhere else on the forum than the Town Square, so I don't have anything to check when I get on. That's why I subscribe to the few things that I do want to keep an eye on. Anyway, no, I still haven't read any of the entries..... :|

Aha, I see. :) That's okay (about the entries). :)

Whew, impressive! You have a good memory. Hope I can do as well.
"You know, Thomas Edison tried and failed nearly 2,000 times to make a carbonized cotton-thread filament for the light bulb. When asked about it, he said, 'I didn't fail. I found out 2,000 ways how not to make a lightbulb.' But you only need to find one way to make it work. The Preservation Room. Go ahead. Enjoy. Do you know what the preservation room is for?"

Thanks! ;)) You did really good. Oh, you left out Riley's little "Edison?" line. :)
"Delicious jams and jellies?"
A couple of my nephews watched both National Treasure movies for the first time recently, so we were quoting them when I saw them on Sunday. ;))

"Haven't enough of us died already?" PC.

"I will do anything. Arthur's life is worth a hundred of mine." Merlin (I haven't seen the show, but I saw a clip from it. ;)) )

Hehe, sneaky. ;)
Well, that's good! Yeah, true. Wow, usually the older you are, the more likely your teeth will go back to the way they were. I'm surprised your older sister only had to wear hers at night right from the start. :-o Oh well, hopefully I won't have to wear mine much longer.

Yup. ;)
I think she was about 15 or 16 when she got her braces off though, so she wasn't very old (this was a few years ago).

"Oh my, he is so cute!"

"Who said that?!"

*waves excitedly to Djaq!!* How's life? :p

Life is going good, thanks! :) How have you been? A HUGE congratulations for winning NaNo!! :D

flam and Dj: Sounds like you had a very fun time!!!

Then our point came across well! ;)

It's allright for me. :) Anything interesting or the like happening?

I'm glad to hear it. :) Well, as for interesting, my sister who is pregnant with twins in due anytime now, so that's exciting for me. :D

Djaq, I didn't get much writing done on the 17th either, but now it seems to be flowing again. 10 more days until the end of the month!

You did so great throughout the whole month! :D Congratulations on winning!!!

Mmmm, thanks! And you are very welcome! Please let us know how she does!!

She is actually doing much, much better! For awhile after she came home from the hospital, she had to use a walker to get around, but now she's walking without it and is feeling a lot better. My mom is monitoring her diet, and that is helping a lot! :)

*cheers Djaq on* You can do it! :D (If you have not done it already! ;) )

Thanks! :D At the time when you posted that, I do not think that I was caught up yet, but I made it not too long after that. :)

Yet another lovely post, RinterSamgee (Dani/Winty)! ;)) Very creative!

*waves to Ed P* Thank you for keeping us updating on your friend's mom! I'll keep praying. :)

Haha! ;) Just think, Djaq, we only have one week left and then NaNoWriMo is done!

I'm SO glad that it's over! It was a wonderful experience and I'll miss it, but it will be nice to do something more than just write. ;) (like posting in the Town Square. ;) )

Good to hear that everything's going well, Djaq! *hugs* Yeah, I can understand craziness. School has been crazy and now my family is supposed to be leaving for my grandmother's place tomorrow! Ack! I'm sure everything will turn out alright. :)

*hugs back* Ugh, yes, school can be crazy. :( How is it going now? Are things still busy?

I'm so glad to hear that piano lessons are going well! :D Ah, Christmas carols are really fun! :)

Djaq!! I love the coloring on your avatar! :) beeautiful!

Hey, Kat!! :D Thanks! It was David Klinkenberg at that point, but I've changed it since. ;)) I wasn't sure if people could tell what it was.
flam and I saw on your YouTube that Jon Foreman had mentioned your video and we were both soooo thrilled for you!! :D A HUGE congrats to you!
Ooh, how fun that you're playing in the Nutcracker! :D I'll be praying that it all goes well and that the schedule doesn't wear you out too much!

*waves to Ti'ana*

Hey, Lady L!! It's great to have you stop by!

Sounds like an awesome concert Flambeau and Djaq!

It was pretty fun! :D
How have you been? I haven't talked to you in awhile. :)
Congratulations on your one-year anniversary! :D :D

Aww, that's a really cute picture of your nephew, Ti'ana! :D

Hello, Sonny! It's nice to see you stop by. :)

*waves to Djaq* Did you reach 48k last night? ;))

No. ;)) I just went to 47k. :P I made it to 50k the next day though. ;))
Congratulations on winning, btw!!! :D

Hey, flambeau/~Djaq neat post! You guys did really well, for first timers. ;) (totally teasing you guys)

We get a "really well" from one of the queens of joint-posts?!?!? :D :-o I'm sooo happy! Thank you!
(kidding as well ;) )
YAY for winning NaNo!! :D

Today is my 1 year anniversary on NarniaWeb! :) It seems like I've been here all my life though! :P You all are so wonderful!

Congratulations!!! :D It's been great getting to know you!

Great to see you, stardf! :) Your post was quite amusing! ;))

Did you get a chance to see the movie yet? :)

Unfortunately, not yet. I will hopefully get it soon though. ;))

Yes, one of my sisters has his Christmas CD. :) It's pretty!
Yep, I'm a fan. ;) As for favorites, "Remember When It Rained" is probably my favorite too! It's so lovely! I love the piano in it and I've really been wanting the music for it. ;)) Then, there is (in no particular order) "Never Let Go", "Don't Give Up (You Are Loved)", "Si Volvieras A Mi", "All'improvviso Amore", "Oceano" and some others that I can't think of. ;))

Flam and Djaq! The double-post is great! ;)) The concert sounds like an amazing evening! That's so neat you both were able to meet David K. (and request Popeye). :D He's definitely one of the best violinists I've heard, so I imagine hearing him live must be a treat! :)

Thanks! :D Yes, he is amazing and his story is so neat! :D It was a great night!

Djaq! How's everything going for you lately? :)

Things are going much slower now that November is over, but they will probably pick back up soon. :) How about you? :D
That was quite a post! :-o Great job!

However, they did say that at my next appointment (three months) I can start wearing it part-time. :D

Yay! :D I'm excited for you! You're almost there! :D

*waves to Liberty Hoffman* :) I hope that you are enjoying the Square! :D

Well, I'm done.

Mort'reve all! :D

Good mortereve, all! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. :) I definitely did! We visited our grandparents in Missouri, which was really nice.

Sorry I haven't been around much... if at all... lately. ;)) I'm working on a catch up post, and it should posted sometime in the next week or so.

School has been going well, though it's been VERY tiring. I'm surviving, though.

It still hasn't snowed yet this year! It's predicted tomorrow, but since today was in the 50's I have my doubts. ;))

Anyhow, I hope you all have a wonderful evening! I just wanted to drop in and say 'hi'. I'll be picking out a new Christmas avatar soon, and will try to post again as soon as possible. Mortereve!

*Wanders around for a bit, thinking the place looks familiar, yet unrecognizable at the same time. The autumn leaves are mostly gone, having been raked off the Square, but snow has not fallen yet. (at least where I am!) The bench opposite the fountain is vacated, and so Jo'at heart takes a seat and gathers her wits about her to see which ones are worth keeping and which she should discard before beginning a conversation* ;)

Hello peoples! *sends a huge hug in every direction* It's been simply ages since I came in here!! Clear back in October I intended to write a full catch-up post, but obviously did not get around to it. (Please hold the applause for my extreme talent in procrastinating. Thank you, thank you.) And then, November 3rd came upon me, along with the crushing desire to write a full-length novel in the 27 days. And so I buckled down and wrote frantically, using over-the-top and exaggerated descriptions, bringing in a slew of new characters each time I ran out of inspiration, and then wrote a shabby ending on November 29th and was proclaimed a WINNER on NaNoWriMo! It did feel grand, I must admit, to see that the progress bar had turned purple. But now, I'm afraid I'm addicted to counting words...I have used 221 words in this post so far! :))

A HUGE congratulations to every Narniawebber who was involved with NaNo and WON and SUCCEEDED!

How IS everyone? How was everyone's Thanksgiving?? I am doing quite well, though suffering some rather-intensified back pain lately, and my Thanksgiving was beautiful. I got to see my brother which is always a plus! Especially since he flew to Africa the Sun. after TG! He was in Paris for a day, on layover, then on to Algeria for a missions' trip. He's in a refugee camp there now. Your prayers for safety and spiritual revival are coveted.

I feel almost LOST being here again! I have missed everyone greatly, and thought of y'all often!

Oh, guys, guess what??!! We're FLYING TO TENNESSEE for New Year's!!! :D :D I am excited beyond WORDS!! (and I'm not counting these words this time; they're too numerous and jumbled with thrill!) We'll be going to a big swing-dance party on New Year's Eve, then something on New Year's Day too, I think. We're going to visit some friends, and I think they're excited too, but not as excited as I am, I'm sure. ;)

For those of you interested in an update on my babysitting job, it is coming to an end next week, due to the mother being laid off her job. I will say that I am pleased I had the job for this long (it pays for the trip to TN), but I will be glad to be finished with it too.

Mom and I were looking at college courses today that I could take online next semester. Now I'm shaking in my boots at the thought of college. =P But oh well, if I could have some credit hours before I graduate high-school, that would be good. I think.
