*Walks into the square singing TRADITION! cause he just got done watching fiddler on the roof* I had forgotten how terribly sad that movie is........ But for some reason i still watch it ....
Well time for a catchup post...........
So yeah we're having a good time. How is everyone else around here dong? I hope that y'all (people in the US of A) had a lovely Thanksgiving.
Ben, My brother uses the roof to mount his unicycle. It is pretty amusing to watch.
lol that would be kind of fun to try! I ought too (if i ever get the chance which would be unlikely )

Drive-by post. Hello to you all! I again apologize for being AWOL. But anyway, life does seem to happen!
Also I'm sorry this post lacks much substance, but it is late and I have to get up early and if I don't post this I never will. Whew!
I had a great Thanksgiving, and hope y'all did too. Got some lights today to decorate my room. I love Christmas lights!
Did anyone get some great stuff on Black Friday? I never bother...
I am looking forward to graduating from college in the spring. I will be so glad to have that stage finished!
Special greetings to Ti'ana, AuntyJo, Aiden, and Gazer. To all the others, I'm too tired to think. Sorry!
So cozy slippers!

Mortereve, all!
Here for the day-delayed post. Yesterday, we went Black Friday shopping but not that early, because in this city, it'd be chaotic that early. So, we went at a safe 4 P.M. and got some wondermentful stuff from Old Navy. (Should I go into detail what I got? Probably not...) After that, CS treated my mom and me to a banana split. Now that I will describe. We had strawberry, vanilla chip, and cookies and cream ice cream. Topped with hot fudge, whipped cream. Sprinkled with gummy bears, mini M&M's, and crushed peppermint. It was...deelicious! There's something that tastes SO good with the banana, ice cream, hot fudge, and whipped cream all together. *drools*
Anyways, catchup:
@Aslanisthebest, A fedora? That is so cool! So, are you going to like and go to people, with your fancy '30's suit complete with fedora and tommygun, and say 'hand it over chum or I will murtallize ya'?
Why, thank-you! Ahahah! I don't know about 30's. I was thinking more a long, black coat with neat dark glasses with the fedora on top; the detective kind of look...
That reminds me, our church choir sang Made to Love today!
Hah, now I wish that my church choir would sing Made to Love!
*waves back to Bella-not-from-Twilight*
I've missed you too!
I was glad to see you stopped by again.
How have you been lately?
*Bella-not-from-Twilight waves back, againg!* D'aw. I've been doing pretty well, thanks. Schools been going nicely (but thank goodness for long weekends like this one!), and NaNo's going fairly well. How about you?
D'awwww. Thank you! Betsie inspired it and found the pictures.
I've been doing pretty well. I'm not sure how I feel about people playing Christmas music already (*wail* It's not even Thanksgiving yet!), so I have a bit of an attitude there...
I enjoyed reading about your hat!
More than welcome! =] I see, that's really neat! Well, I s'pose you might feel better for playing Christmas music now? ;] *laughs* I'm one of those people who, as soon as school starts, are just anticipating Christmas.
D'aw, thank-you! I still have to find some place to wear it...perhaps "Crazy Hat Night" for Awana....
Happy (Belated, now) Birthday again, King L! =]
Ah, I see. Well, we'll excuse NaNo. Hope that goes well for you!
Laziness, on the other hand...
![]()
I've been doing well, thank you. How about you?
Thank-you! NaNo's going fairly well, I just have to catch up on 11k in 3 days but I'm determined to do it some way or another.
Yes, my laziness can't be excused in this.
I've been doing pretty good, thanks. Oh! I wanted to tell you, I had a Spanish test last Wednesday and got 95%.
Estoy feliz! =] (We've been doing "ser" and "estar" which I really don't like...
)
I didn't notice that it had no subtitles, but I definitely noticed that there was no menu.
I guess that's the way they make them for Redbox.
Do post a picture of the fedora!
Yeah, that was pretty sad. I wanted to see Bonus features, but I guess we'll have to wait until it comes out.
Heh, one the camera starts working, on will be up! =] *searches for a fedora emoticon, and finds none*
*waves to Cep* How fun visiting Earel and her family for Thanksgiving!
*waves to Djaq* Did you reach 48k last night?
But yes, I'm almost to 50,000 words.
I noticed that on the NaNo site! How neat! *throws festive confetti*
@ Bella. Thanks! *2*
I'm glad to know someone reads it.
*Greetings, miss Bella (not from Twilight).
Speaking of that series, are people calling you Bella more now that the second film is coming out?*
Haha, I know the feeling.
Greetings, Vern! LOL, yes I've been called Bella more often now because of the new movie, unfortunately. How ever will I tell some people that I'm not from Twilight?
Anywho, how have you and the Royal Family been faring latley? =]
*waves to Queen S*
How goes it?
*huge hug back* I've really missed chatting with you too!! I hope you are well? I have been, busy with school of course, but it's the weekend, so that's done for another...week.
*tries to think of anything else that has occurred that is notable* Hmm, well, my family are getting all our Christmas shopping done.
Which is so notable, of course. I have a pretty good idea of what I'm getting, but I don't mind. As us kids have gotten older Mom and Dad have allowed us to pick what we want (generally two or so things, and they pick from that), but I only wanted one thing, soo...
I promise I didn't go shaking Christmas presents and sneak around at midnight peeking...
![]()
(Not yet, at least.
)
D'aw! Yes, I've been doing pretty well, thanks! *giggles* Counting weekends until some holiday is one of the highlights of school. Oh, I laff Christmas shopping! It is fun. I see.
My sister and I often know what we're getting each other, because the other asks.
That's a neat thing that your Mom and Dad do!
Haha! Shaking Christmas presents is so fun. A while ago, we managed to peek inside a whole in the wrapping paper and felt something sort of woolen, so we thought dismally that we had gotten socks for Christmas. But, then we found it was warm pajamas, so that taught us not to peek...so much.
Nothing notable happening here, either. Except for a knitting/crocheting/beading sale that's happening in a few weeks, so Ella and I have been preparing for it.
Thanks! Mhm, NaNo's picked up for me for the most part and now I think I can try get the remainder in a few weeks so that's been really interesting to do. I can't wait until after November, when I can work more detailed on the first.
*gasps* Lady L! Hurrah! Hope you stop by more often, please do. By the way, I happened to find your blog, so I've been enjoying reading it.
Did anyone get some great stuff on Black Friday? I never bother...

*Cor enters the Square driving (or trying to drive) a DeLorean. Unfortunately, the Prince crashes into the chocolate tree. No serious harm is caused to either the tree nor the Prince*
Wow! That was..... interesting. Hmm, the Square 15 years from now looks like the Square from the present.... Doh! This is the present! *looks at the time meter on the dashboard* Blast! Never made it to 80 mph.... *sigh*
*Cor takes a seat at the fountain accompanied by an armful of chocolate*
Hey, it fell down from the tree. What else am I suppose to do with it?
Anyway, Mortereve all! I hope everyone is having a pleasant Saturday-after-the-day-after-Thanksgiving. I figured it was time to make a catch-up post before too many pages went by.....
Catching-up:
----------------------------
@ Lucy. They can be quite boring, can't they? I haven't had to do too many reports, but still more than I would like.
Well, seeing as how Thanksgiving has come and gone, we visited both sets of grandparents plus saw some cousins that were in-town for the holiday.
@ Ti'ana. *Vern gratefully accepts the turkey* *True, it has been a very long time since we have conversed. How are you and your dear sister fairing of late?*
@ NN. Ah, O.K. That explains everything and yes, that made perfect sense. So, Riley=Djaq.
@ GreenLeaf. Yes, it's introduced in Begins but is really taken to the extreme in The Dark Knight, mainly because of the Joker.
TDK has more of a polished sound to it and I think it was recorded with a larger orchestra, which gives it a more "epic" quality. Funny thing is, I like the music in the film Batman Begins but not the music on the album. While with TDK, I think the album is way better than the music as heard in the film. Confusing, I know....
The psychological aspect of Begins was actually easier for me to deal with than the whole downbeat, ominous feeling of TDK. *shrug* Ah yes, or when Bruce is trying to get more equipment from Fox, but at the same time not spilling the beans about Batman. "Uh... cave diving." "Are you planning on running into any gunfire in these caves, Mr. Wayne?"
Yes, that and the line "Why do we fall down? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up again" are two great quotes from the film. (about Rachel seeming to age suddenly between films: that's what happens when you change actresses.....
)
@ QueenSusan. Glad to hear you have been doing well. I've been doing well myself. Been pretty busy with Life of late.
We went to visit my grandparents (My Mom's parents and my Dad's Mom), had lunch with my grandmother and also saw some cousins that were in-town for the weekend. Nothing spectacular, but still nice.
*waves to Malkah and Sonny*
@ Bella. I've started using Google Analytics to keep track of who all is visiting my blog. So far, 21 people have visited my blog.
*Oh well, tis a nice name/nickname even if it does belong to an annoying book character..... *sigh* I'm sure you'll figure someway to explain it to them.
We have been fairing quite well as of late, thank you! I believe Lady A will be making Runza's tonight, so the Prince and I are looking forward to that. KingLune is.... well, continuing to be KingLune.*
--------------------------------
Well, I think that gets my catch-up for this evening.... *as the Prince finishes his post, the familiar form of Vern lands in the Square*
*Cor! You have to come with me to the future!*
What's the matter, Vern?
*It's your kids, Cor! They grow-up to be monsters!*
Umm, Vern, I think your taking this "Back to the Future" thing a little too seriously.
*Eh, it was worth a shot. Meet you back at the castle!*
Alright. See you there, Vern! Well, I guess I should head home. Good evening to all!
*The Prince returns to his DeLorean and flies it out of the Square*

I know, I know. I will catchup. Tomorrow. I have been meaning to catch up but there's this thing called NaNoWriMo, and this other thing called Real Life which got in my way.

*dashes into the Square with a book in one hand* I'm in the middle of rereading DragonKnight by Donita K. Paul. *is reading so intently that she does not notice where she is going, and bumps into the Fountain* Whoops...guess I'd better watch where I'm going if I want to read and walk at the same time.
Anyway, who else went shopping on Black Friday? We were at my grandparents' house, and my grandma, my aunt, my mom, my sis and I went shopping. We didn't leave at the crack of dawn, though. We left at 9:30 in the morning, which gave me plenty of time to have a big nice chunk of chocolate cake for breakfast. (Grandma makes the best chocolate cake ever, and she always lets me have a piece of it for breakfast. I'm spoiled.
) Anyway, we left at 9:30 in the morning and weren't done shopping till 7:30 in the evening. *sighs* It was a busy day, and you have no idea how much my feet and legs ached from all the walking.
After we were done shopping, we stopped by my great-grandmother's house for a while, and we were all talking so hard that the time just flew by, and we didn't end up getting back to Grandma's house till 10:00. We had a good deal of fun, though.
Yesterday, Saturday, we had to do some more shopping. We went to several old country stores, then had lunch together at a restaurant. Then we shopped some more...then finally went back to my grandma's. It was around 4:00 then and about time for my family to leave if we wanted to get back to our own home that evening, so my family and I packed up our suitcases and stuff, said good-bye to our grandparents, and left to drive the few hours back home. We listened to the Gaither Vocal Band all the way home, and my little brother fell asleep on my shoulder. And now we're back home, and we have church to go to today, which I'm looking forward to. Anyway, I suppose I should stop rambling on and on and get to ketchup. So here goes.
Ketchup:
Benjamin, yeah, homemade applesauce is delicious!
Tiana, cute pic of your nephew! And I agree, listening to Christmas music at Christmas time is much more fun.
*waves to malkah*
*waves to Sonny* Nice to see you around.
Glad your NaNo's going well, Bella! I am doing fantastic. Thanksgiving was great, we were with our grandparents and had a wonderful time. Sounds like you had fun on Black Friday.

Yeah It would have been nice to have more books of Will as a Apprentice but...... There were 6 books lol I can't complain plus I like it when he is a ranger almost as much
Yeah I,m not too uptodate with the new books coming out lol....
Yeah I guess...but it kind of annoyed me how it mentioned in the book all the years of training, yet they only wrote about a year or two of it in the books. That's just my opinion :]
I just follow series that I like to read and sometimes authors...like the new Alex Rider book
Awww, the dog sounds really cute Winty!
*waves back to greenleaf*
I never really thought about that either, holidays like Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July...it is kind of weird to think about.
Greenleaf, Sorcerer of the North is awesome! Alyss has matured a bit, but she's still the same quiet, witty girl, which is what I love about her.
That's cool, I always thought she had a cool character (even though I thought Evanlyn was better ) That is one think I really liked about the books, there aren't really any cliche characters. Most of them are really original, which is really cool
*waves to greenleaf*
*waves back* How's violin going?
*waves to Malkah and Sonny*
*waves to Bella* Hey, I went to Old Navy too! They had some great deals
@ GreenLeaf. Yes, it's introduced in Begins but is really taken to the extreme in The Dark Knight, mainly because of the Joker.

Yes, that and the line "Why do we fall down? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up again" are two great quotes from the film.(about Rachel seeming to age suddenly between films: that's what happens when you change actresses.....
)
Yeah, The League of Shadows was still lighter than the Joker was. Although, since the first time I "saw" Liam Neeson in a movie was as Aslan, I just can't see him as a bad guy for some reason...
Polished! I've been trying to find a word to describe it all week and that's the word I was looking for Lol, about TDK I agree (I haven't heard the Batman Begins soundtrack, so I can't say) the music really complimented the movie well, but you only heard how totally great it was on the soundtrack, at least for me
I found it a little more freaky...It may sound kind of strange but for me Begins was freaky, and TDK was creepy. I think I actually dealt with the ominous darkness of TDK better than the psychological aspect of Begins, but the addition of more humor and lightheartedness in Begins would probably make me watch that again before I watched TDK... I don't know, I'm weird that way
Yeah, that was great! And the irony when Foxx takes the one mans job... It actually reminded me a bit of Iron Man Oh, they switched actresses? I kind of wondered...

Good Mortereve all! How is everyone? I hope that everyone has been having a good Sunday. I have been well, although a little bit distracted and busy with some self assigned school assignments which required quite a bit of research on various subjects, so I haven't had time to catch up here until now. Although, of course, tis a mis fortune not to have time here, it does not follow that I have hated my "assignments" as I quite love research and such, so it's been quite fun.
I can definitely and with great confidence say that I have learned a lot.
The short answer is it's a swashbuckler. The long(er) answer is that it's a alternate-universe Narnia fan-fic mishmash of PC and Prisoner of Zenda and a few other books I can't think of right now masquerading as original fiction. Oh! And a little bit of Bleak House snuck in too. The idea was to see if I could work in a Susaspian style romance, and see if it was as weird when the author intended for it to be included, but I don't think my Susan character is going to fall in love with the Prince. I'm not heartbroken over this twist, but I still wonder what might have happened...
Wow! It sounds exciting! Especially with all the different additions of ideas and whatnot from novels, all collected into one novel...
I've always wanted to try writing one like that- taking all the bits I love the most from my favourite books, and even movies too, and tossing them all together in hopes that the end result will be good...but I haven't yet.
Miss Aravis: Very cool news about Switchfoot and your song! That is fantastic!
I hope your Nutcracker Ballet performance goes well- and you're renting a huge old house? Sweet! *loves huge old houses however impractical they may be*
FF, Shannon Hale mostly writes fantasy books. One of her best-known books is Princess Academy. That was the first book I read by her, and I loved it.
We don't get thunderstorms too often...mostly rain.It has rained so much these past couple months! I wish we'd get snow instead.
Lol, putting up the Christmas tree is always fun.![]()
Ah, okay, thanks! How are her Princess Academy books?
Yes! I totally agree, when winter is just approaching I think snow is much nicer than rain...eh?
We have our Christmas tree up now, I think the boys coaxed Mom into allowing us to put it up a few days earlier, so, yeah. We just have to finish putting up the rest of the decorations and we're done!
Sounds good! Ah, cool. Hope we can get that soon. Maybe Christmas...?

*hopes*
How was your Thanksgiving? Did all go well?
FF: Hey!
Things are going well! My violin lesson went well today.
It was my very first.
I have to do quite a bit of NaNo tonight...
*hopes Queen Susan did get to write more* Did you?
I am glad to hear that your lessons went well- that's encouraging! Do you have them once a week?
*sends a huge hug to LadyLiln* Great to see you around, even if tis only for a little bit. I'm praying for you, of course!!
@ Fanny. Well, I have now moved on to Hello Dolly!.
Fortunately for me, most of these films I haven't seen in several years, so they seem more fresh to me. Though, I do remember watching Jumanji, An American Tail 2 and My Fair Lady whenever they would be on TV. In fact, I taped AAT2 off of Cartoon Network years ago and then watched the VHS tape so much that now it won't play.....
I really need to get that film on DVD.
Oh dear! *hopes he gets it on DVD soon* My Fair Lady is a good film...I've only seen it twice though. The first time I watched it I was younger and I really did not like it. We just watched it a few months ago and I was able to appreciate it more...and like the characters more...and stuff.
Some of the songs were really nice.
Hmm...well the first song on the Album, "Live Life Loud" is really catchy, and "The Final Toast" is great too. "The Job" is a really fun song too
Not bad, actually really good, thanks! This week has been great, and with Thanksgiving it should be even more fun
How about you?
Ah good, thanks! I shall have to check them out then!
Good, good! How was your Thanksgiving?
Did all go well? I hope so! Life here has been pretty good, seemingly more busier than usual, but that's alright.
It's been that good sort of busy.
ForeverFan: Yes, thank you for your prayers. Really?! Great! That would definitely work a heck of a lot better for me!
Oh, you're welcome! Tis no trouble at all!
Yes...July is a much better month I think, even if most of the time I can get November not to be so busy. Yeah.
And to all the Canadian SquareOnions, I hadn't been able to wish y'all a Happy Thanksgiving when it was your's, so I wish you one now, slightly belated!
(By the way, Fanny; in World History for the past 3 weeks, I learnt more about Canada so I had particularly you in my mind!
*really wants to visit P.E.I, and some part of the Canadian Shield...*)
Thank you Bella! Oooh, I am most curious to know what you learned!
Do tell, please? I haven't visited P.E. I., but I can tell you that the Canadian Shield is a lovely place...unless you want to have horses. Especially my part of the Shield (er, not my part exactly, but where I live), which is all rocks. But to quote someone from Pride & Prejudice "What are men compared to rocks and trees?" But for the most part it's nice. So maybe if/when you ever make your trip up to see the Shield you can come to my particular part.
Except for a knitting/crocheting/beading sale that's happening in a few weeks, so Ella and I have been preparing for it.Thanks! Mhm, NaNo's picked up for me for the most part and now I think I can try get the remainder in a few weeks so that's been really interesting to do. I can't wait until after November, when I can work more detailed on the first.
![]()
*laughs* Yes!! And too, counting it just for the weekend's sake. During the week we all get up extra early to do Bible classes, but from Friday to Sunday we can sleep in, so I'm afraid that I must admit, while enjoying getting up early, that at the beginning of the school week I count down the days until Friday simply because I can sleep in then.
Haha! The socks-pajamas story is funny! *laughs* Yeah...we like shaking presents but not actually peaking. Yet.
I hope the preperation for the sale goes well- it sounds like a fun thing! Is it a big sale?
Good! *hopes that all goes well writing wise*
And now I must run. Homemade pizza for supper tonight... Cheers all!

I'm sorry I wasn't able to be in here during break as much I anticipated, but I hadn't been aware that we were cooking the turkey for Thanksgiving, which was interesting, but delicious; plus our internet has been loopy, though I think we've fixed it (for anyone who's interested, the ISP somehow affected the DNS to reroute to random, weird sites or just not find the site at all. . . or something like that ).
Quick catch up:

Sorry to say that I don't have time for a catch up post. It's nearly midnight and I just got back from a lovely week with my family and relatives, celebrating an early Christmas.
Anyway, just wanted to say hello to everyone! I hope you all had a splendid Thanksgiving!
Ruby, you forgot the victory dance!
Oh! Thank you for the reminder, Erubadhriel. *does victory dance*
You might ask, why the victory dance? Erubadhriel would say "Isn't it obvious?"
I WON NANOWRIMO!!! I am DONE!!!
And congrats to all of you Narnia Webbers who have completed NaNoWriMo! It really is a thrilling feeling to upload your complete story!! Of course, my story isn't nearly finished. I only have the first half done.
But that doesn't matter. I completed my goal for the year and now I can....
*falls on desk and sleeps....zzzz*
Excuse me, I'm afraid it's far past Ruby's bedtime. We shall take her to bed immediately!
God bless and good night!...or should I say good morning?
