Mortereve all!
I'm doing well, NN.
My NaNo needs some work...
Glad to hear it! What's your word count so far?
Ben, for some reason NW won't email me when someone posts. Well, it emails me once, but never again. I'm not sure what I did wrong.
I case nobody has answered yet... NW notifications work differently now: it only e-mails you the first unread post until you visit the thread again. You're not doing anything wrong.
LL, that's nice you get a whole week for Thanksgiving! Hope you can spend plenty of time in the Square.
*waves to NN* It's probably really obvious, but who is Riley?
![]()
I can understand your confusion. Riley is actually Djaq. We've been quoting National Treasure, so we refer to each other as the person whom we've quoted. (I hope that's what you were referring to and that it made sense.)
Yes, NN95, I am an early bird.
I love getting up early, because no one else in our family is up then, and the house is nice and quiet and I can sit in my bed and read. Lol.
Oh, that's nice. I wish I could do that. But, no, I have trouble getting up early, but I end up staying up really late.
That's it for catchup. Is anyone around? Ti'ana?

Heya Double N!!
I am around for this post, but then I have to go to work.
Ok thanks for the info about the email notifications. That was what was happening. I liked the old forum so much better than this one. Oh well, the people are the same, and that is the main reason I'm here. I just realized that in December I will have been here two years.
We don't get a whole week off for thanksgiving, but close. Dad decided to take most of the week off which has been very nice.
What is funny is if I get up really early I'm fine or if I get up really late I'm fine, but if I get up around seven then I am tired all day long.
Alrighty now I really am off to work.
"Whenever you feel like criticizing any one," he told me, "just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had.”
I'm around for one more post too, then I shall be off for the day.
I actually like the way the new notifications work much better, because it doesn't fill up my inbox. I get one e-mail to remind me to check the thread, but I don't get another till I've read everything online. To me, that's ideal. But everyone's different. And, you're right, the people are what makes NarniaWeb what it is.
That's neat that you're almost to your two year anniversary! Wow, you joined quite near Christmas! It's hard to believe I've been here over two years—even longer than you.
I just get Thanksgiving day and the day after off. But I do get quite a long Christmas break. Or at least, I think it's long.
That is quite funny! But, in some ways, I find the same true of myself. If I get up a lot earlier than I have to, I'm fine all day. If I sleep in, even ten minutes, I'm fine all day. But if I get up on time, which is about 7:30, I'm tired all day. Maybe it's psychological.
Hope you have a good day!

Oh thats a good one (Sorcerer of the north)
Yeah I know how that is with books
Lol yeah I love The Smiley's!![]()
Oh i have not seen this one.....
Were you the person I recommended Wings Of Dawn to?
Yeah, I just have to get it from somewhere soon I'm kinda disappointed that there weren't more sequential books with Will as an apprentice though...it is the Rangers Apprentice series
Yeah, and with new ones coming out all the time (The new Alex Rider book came out a few weeks ago) it's hard to keep up
I think maybe...but I haven't read them yet
leafy! Hey! I'm doing very well, aside from the fact that I have a lot of homework and studying to do and I'm dead tired.
You?
Aw, I hope Thanksgiving will let you get some rest glad that it's going well!
Sounds like an awesome concert Flambeau and Djaq!
*comes in humming something catchy by TobyMac* Or I should just say something by TobyMac, because we all know every song of his is catchy.

Thanks!!
That's really cool Naiadwalker! And good luck with NaNo!
Greenleaf, the Ruins of Gorlan is really good...I'm almost tempted to say that one is my favorite, too. But I think I liked Sorcerer of the North best. I really liked having Alyss in the story again.
Yeah, I can't wait to read that one now! Ben said it was good too I do want to see how Alyss is now that shes older and such too.
*waves to Lor*
*waves back* glad NaNo's going well!
*waves to greenleaf*
*waves back* How are ya?
@ GreenLeaf. Yes, or the ongoing question of "How far can (and should) you go to stop evil? How far is too far?" and as is shown with Harvey "when do you become the very thing you try to destroy?". A very deep, thought provoking movie. Definitely not your "popcorn summer film".
It's hard to explain how the music goes, but I think the track "A Dark Knight" should have been used for the final scene and the credits. It fits the mood of the end so well."A Watchful Guardian" is the end credits music as it appears in the film.
Heh, it's also on my Christmas list of DVD's to get.
Begins is a lot more fun than TDK. It still has it's deep moments, but it balances the fun with dark better than TDK.
I agree. I actually just watched Batman Begins last night, and that principle is in there too. Especially with the "League of Shadows".
Ah, ok. I really need to buy that movie! Maybe that'll be on my Christmas list this year. The music was amazing throughout though, both in TDK and BB. I think I liked TDK better though, it was a little more developed and I like the kind of edge it had...I don't really know how to explain it
It was a little lighter throughout the whole film, but just the whole mental aspect made it a little more freaky to me than TDK. I did love the lighter parts though, especially when, as Batman, he sees the man who he gave his coat to earlier in the movie And the end with Lucias was great as well, I loved the irony
And one of my new favorite quotes is one Rachel said (is it just me, or does she seem a lot younger in Batman Begins?) "It's not who you are underneath, but what you do that defines you".
Thanks for the encouragement on violin, greenleaf!
I should have my first lesson next Tuesday...
No problem, it's hard learning a new instrument but it's super-satisfying I hope it's fun, and good luck!
Ah, good to hear!
Good to hear! Do you have any particular songs that you liked? (You know, the ones that stood out to you the most...)
How is life going for you?
![]()
Hmm...well the first song on the Album, "Live Life Loud" is really catchy, and "The Final Toast" is great too. "The Job" is a really fun song too
Not bad, actually really good, thanks! This week has been great, and with Thanksgiving it should be even more fun How about you?
Hey Joe, congrats about districts!
*waves to Watziznehm, Mel, King Lune, Ed P., Miss A, Valia, Ti, Cep, Djaq, Winty, Malkah and Lady Liln* hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

Mortereve, all! How is everyone this lovely Thanksgiving Eve? I'm doing quite well...for the most part . Well! who's going Black Friday shopping bright and early Friday morning
? *Raises hand* Yes, I'm afraid it's true. I mean once you look at those amazing deals you just can't resist! I'm getting a flatscreen and a Blu-Ray player for starters--unless I see something else I absolutely cannot live without (which I doubt)
.
CATCHUP!
Ruby: Thanks. Oh, and it's my friend's mother not my friend. Indeed! yes always next year or JuNoWriMo !
ForeverFan: Yes, thank you for your prayers. Really?! Great! That would definitely work a heck of a lot better for me!
MissA/Kat: It happens sometimes--but you can always start afresh. Which I say is way better than catching up on 20+ pages of conversation.
WHAT???!!!!???? NO WAY! THAT IS FREAKING CRAZY! INSANE! YOU ARE SO LUCKY! THAT'S GREAT
. Great job on the song too! You always do a fantastic job
.
Narnia Girl: Thanks! Keep praying! How have you been lately?
Hey, NN95! I haven't spoken to you in awhile! How goes it on the other side of the screen?
*Waves back to greenleaf23* Hey, Lor! What's going on?
Happy Holiday, everyone! Or rather, Happy Thanksgiving!
I met Georgie and Skandar AND saw the film in one evening.

Ben, for some reason NW won't email me when someone posts. Well, it emails me once, but never again. I'm not sure what I did wrong.
Can you really ride a unicycle?
Well It emails me when someone posts but it will not send another email till you have opened that one email, thats one thing i liked about the old NW that it told you how many people posted after you......
That I can It took a while to learn how to ride it but then when I learned its really easy
.............
Yeah, I just have to get it from somewhere soon
I'm kinda disappointed that there weren't more sequential books with Will as an apprentice though...it is the Rangers Apprentice series

Yeah It would have been nice to have more books of Will as a Apprentice but...... There were 6 books lol I can't complain plus I like it when he is a ranger almost as much
Yeah I,m not too uptodate with the new books coming out lol ....

Hello all! *Waves*
I know, I know. I should have been here a while ago. And now that I'm here I should do a catch-up. But, I won't. I'm too tired I worked on my NaNoWriMo story for two and a half hours and wrote nearly 5,000 words.
Guess what! We're dog-sitting this really cute little dog, for a friend. She's so sweet and little! We have two big dogs so this one's kinda different. Her name's Pepper. *Grins* She's kinda old, and shakes all the time, but is SO sweet. Although, when she got here she was convinsed her owner had taken her to the vet. It was a while before we could convince her otherwise.
Anyhow, that was totally random, but isn't that what the Square is all about? Randmoness?
See y'all!

Mortereve all, and a happy thanksgiving to y'all here in America.
I got to thinking about that yesterday. It is weird to think that some people don't have thanksgiving day. I'm sure there are a lot of things we do that other people don't do that we don't even think about.
*waves back to greenleaf*
Ben, two of my brothers can ride the unicycle also. My younger brother has a five foot unicycle. He says it's easier than the short one, although I'm not sure.
I could not agree more heartily WinterStar. Randomness is rampant here, especially in my posts it seems.
Here is a photo that I took with my new camera. I like the pose, but it is blurry, so I don't like that. I'm still playing with the settings to get it how I like it. That is a pic of my nephew.
"Whenever you feel like criticizing any one," he told me, "just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had.”

Five foot! Wow that would be fun to try (kind of hard to get up on probably) Nice Pic of your Nephew!
Well I better be off got lots to do before Thanksgiving meal......
Bye!

*enters the Square, groaning about how full and stuffed she feels * Happy Thanksgiving, SquareOnions (or SquareTurkeys...)! Well, we're at my grandparents', and I'm attempting to do a super quick ketchup post. We just had our Thanksgiving lunch. My grandma made turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, applesauce (she makes the best applesauce ever), even Jell-O...and I had a gigantic piece of chocolate cake with globs of delicious icing on it for dessert. And now I am so full...
Ketchup:
Tiana, decorating for Christmas is always fun. Putting up the ornaments on the tree and listening to Christmas music is one of my favorite things.
Eh, I never stay up late, NN95. *shrug* I'd get too tired.
How'd your Thanksgiving go?
Greenleaf, Sorcerer of the North is awesome! Alyss has matured a bit, but she's still the same quiet, witty girl, which is what I love about her.
Edmund P, I've been doing fantastic! Ah, you're going shopping on Black Friday? So am I, though there is no way I'm going super early. My grandma, my aunt, my mom, and my sister and I are leaving at 8:30 in the morning to spend the whole day shopping. It will be...a very busy day.
Ha, Benjamin, I see that you spelled it "ketchup" this time.
Winter! Hey! *waves* Wow, sounds like you've been busy with NaNo!
Well, time to go now...mortereve all, and enjoy the rest of Thanksgiving! God has been so good to us this year.

Motereve, all!
Dropped by to wish all the SquareOnions (and a pea, and a mushroom ) in the U. S. of A. a Happy Thanksgiving today!
And to all the Canadian SquareOnions, I hadn't been able to wish y'all a Happy Thanksgiving when it was your's, so I wish you one now, slightly belated! (By the way, Fanny; in World History for the past 3 weeks, I learnt more about Canada so I had particularly you in my mind!
*really wants to visit P.E.I, and some part of the Canadian Shield...*)
I must say, something I'm very thankful for, along with the whole list, is Narniaweb. You all are wonderful friends, and an answer to prayer, and such an encouragment!
So, Happy Thanksgiving! May you all have a blessed day today! (I might drop in for catchup perhaps tomorrow. Hurrah for long weekends!)

My cousin is here. We're laughing at him right now. Yes it is good to see him again.
So yeah we're having a good time. How is everyone else around here dong? I hope that y'all (people in the US of A) had a lovely Thanksgiving.
Ben, My brother uses the roof to mount his unicycle. It is pretty amusing to watch.
NG, listening to Christmas music is probably my favorite thing about Christmas. I know I can listen to it all year round, but..... And besides it is different when the house is decorated.
