*wanders into the Square for a bit*
It has struck me lately how many folks have come and gone from the Square. Political unrest and reports of violence in the Philippines brought to mind MsGlimfeather. She visited the Square often for a number of years.
People come. People go. Thats Ditto Town.
Wherever you are now, MsGlimfeather, I trust you are well.
*stares in to a cup of tea for a bit*
“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”
*dashes into the Square, panting breathlessly* Man, I'm tired. My fault for staying up late to read last night, though. Yesterday I had piano lessons, which went great. We started working on some Christmas songs, like "Drummer Boy," "I'll be Home for Christmas," "My Favorite Things"...etc.
Okay, time for a ketchup, guys.
Ceppault, decorating the Christmas tree is so much fun. It's one of my favorite things about Christmas.
Heh yeah, I always say "ketchup," Benjamin.
Lol, Ruby and Winter, that was very interesting to read. Tell Bravo I said hi.
Malkah!! *waves* I've missed you lately.
Ed P, that's good about your friend's mom. Glad she's improving. I'll pray!
Hey Ruby! *waves and sends Ruby a hug* How are piano lessons going?
Lol, NN95, I usually get up before 7 a.m. So if I sleep in till almost 9, that's really sleeping in for me.
Oh, that sounds nice that you'll get lots of time to relax during these next few weeks. I envy you. I am seriously going to be very busy in December. Decorating for Christmas...Christmas shopping...trying to keep up with school... *sighs* I hope my mom lets us take a long Christmas break from school.
FF, Shannon Hale mostly writes fantasy books. One of her best-known books is Princess Academy. That was the first book I read by her, and I loved it.
We don't get thunderstorms too often...mostly rain. It has rained so much these past couple months! I wish we'd get snow instead.
Lol, putting up the Christmas tree is always fun.
MA! Great to see you again! I'm doing great, thanks, how about you? Oh, the only reason I'm able to ketchup so often is because I'm not doing NaNoWriMo.

I,m writing this on my new Laptop!! I just got it today! YAY!
That is so awesome! What kind is it? I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Having your own laptop makes things so much easier!
Eru does make some great graphics. She is really talented. *nods*
Narnia Girl, that is so cool that you're starting to work on Christmas music. I love playing Christmas music. I just bought a couple Relient K Christmas songs and am enjoying listening to those.
I'm doing well. Over the weekend I had all-state orchestra, which was insane, because we had a total of 12 hours of rehearsals in 2 days. I am so sick of playing the harp right now because of that Unfortunately, since I'm playing the harp part for the Nutcracker ballet next week, I have to practice the harp like nuts right now. The part is really hard.
And we have Nutcracker rehearsals/performances for 8 days straight for 3+hours every night... how I'm going to keep up with my schoolwork I don't know, but I'm guessing I'll have to sacrifice some narniaweb time
Anyway, I'm excited because today we're going out of town to rent this huge old house where my grandparents and aunt and uncle and cousin will be staying over Thanksgiving.
So I get a little rest before the craziness.
*waves to Cep*
Ok I gotta finish my schoolwork before we leave this afternoon! see y'all!
Little Joe rides magesticly over the horizen, the sun at his back and the wind in his face. Sarge then rears on his hind legs and Joe gives a loud shout; HELLO THE SQUARE, with that Sarge lands and rushes down the hill till they hit a bump which sends Sarge onto his side and Joe flying into a snow bank from there they both roll all the way down the hill covered in snow MEANT TO DO THAT!

I got a silver at districs for singing... I'm happy
If you ain't first, you're last.
That's great, Nerd. I liked singing alot in 6-7 grade. All I cared about back then was being popular and I wanted to be a famous actrss or singer between 5-7 grade. Wasnt really into politics. Though I dont care now about being popular, jsut what peopel think of me as a person.

Mortereve all!
Good, thanks!
Things have been pretty usual, I guess.
We've been watching some more Get Smart, from Season 3, so of course that has been quite a bit of fun.

Sounds good! Ah, cool. Hope we can get that soon. Maybe Christmas...?
Hurray!
Isn't it nice to have such a nice library of really nice music to use in projects like that? We always used to use movie soundtracks, which are nice, of course, but somehow now the same. (Probably because they've already been used in a movie). So to have a place where we can find really nice free stuff is, well, nice.
![]()
Ah, 'tis indeed! Yep, I've always used movie soundtracks, too. Which, of course, there's nothing wrong with. But, I know what you mean. Plus, most of the music from soundtracks I have wouldn't fit in the sorts of things I put together. Anyway, I happened to find a perfect song from Freeplay for what I was putting together, so I was happy about that.
*stares in to a cup of tea for a bit*
I gather this is an activity with which you often occupy yourself?
Lol, NN95, I usually get up before 7 a.m. So if I sleep in till almost 9, that's really sleeping in for me.

Ah, so you're an early bird, eh? I can barely get up for 8 each morning, so sleeping till 9 isn't much better. I'm a night owl, so I can stay up really late before I get tired.
Aw, I'm sorry you won't be as relaxed in the coming weeks. I'm sure we'll be busy, too, but not as busy. And, during Thanksgiving, we shan't be busy at all. Yeah, I hope you get a long Christmas break, too.
I'm off. Mort'reve all!

I'm doing well, NN. My NaNo needs some work...
FF: Hey! Things are going well! My violin lesson went well today.
It was my very first.
I have to do quite a bit of NaNo tonight...
Mel: My writing is going--ok I guess. I hope I can get done with it. Maybe I'll get a burst of energy and write a lot tonight.
I feel like listening to or watching some footage from the PHF that we just got... But--yeah. Writing really should be done. *coughs*
Kat: Yep, I'm the ooooonly girl. Other then my mom.
(About Switchfoot) WHOA!!!! That's... amazing! Wow! Really, that's awesome! 😮 That's... yeah! Now I'm stunned.
Oh come on... There have been quite a few posts since you posted that--and no one else has mentioned it! I guess they didn't read it all.
Anyways... Wow! That's awesome!!

How is everyone on this fine mortereve?
Ahh I see that y'all have been having as much substance as ever in y'all's posts. Oh how I love to see that.
I am doing quite well. Just sitting here relaxing, listening to my brother make excuses, and typing on here. My brother has an incredible ego problem.
Going back from my last post...
CEP, we were in full turnout, working an inch and a quarter attack line for training. Although I can't wait to do it for real some day. I was on duty the other day, but we didn't get any calls.
Ben, for some reason NW won't email me when someone posts. Well, it emails me once, but never again. I'm not sure what I did wrong.
Can you really ride a unicycle?
I got a new camera the other day. The pictures are amazing! I should post some on here.
*waves back at Bennett*
NG, I am doing very well. How about you?

Mortereve, all!
Lady Liln, I saw your post for Djac's sister in Prayer Request. Nice to see you lurking around.
I've finally had a bit of time to breathe and catch up around here. I'm still working on reading through several threads in the SO, but for the most part I caught up over the weekend, which was very nice.
Anyways, school and work have been time consuming, but I'm on Thanksgiving Break for a full week. So, I should hopefully be lurking about here for several days out of this week. I have been more or less following this thread, but I'm afraid catch-ups are still not possible.
God bless and cozy slippers to all my fellow Square Onions!

Mortereve all! I trust everyone is doing well this evening? Well, tomorrow is the last day of school for me this week. A four day weekend..... *sigh*
Alright, time to catch-up!
---------------------------------
@ Lucy. Yes, when it's something I like. I always dread writing assignments, though I usually get through unscathed. Fortunately, my blog and this story I'm writing are both things that I'm really into, so it's been a blast writing them.
*waves to NN* It's probably really obvious, but who is Riley?
@ QueenSusan. Nice to see you around again! How are you doing?
@ Ella. Quite welcome, miss. *bows* Glad to hear NaNo is going well for you. I know a few people who have had to drop out this year.... No, I'm not participating in it this year. I only found out what it was a few weeks ago, actually.
@ Mel. *Ah, well then, I'm glad to hear he is a good guy. A good singing voice, eh? It just so happens that I have a good singing voice also, for bass that is. At least that's what Lady A tells me.*
I think we are suppose to eat lunch with my grandmother and some of my older relatives who are in-town. Then we are going to go see my other grandparents that evening. Pretty much our usual schedule for holidays.
@ Fanny. Well, I have now moved on to Hello Dolly!. Fortunately for me, most of these films I haven't seen in several years, so they seem more fresh to me. Though, I do remember watching Jumanji, An American Tail 2 and My Fair Lady whenever they would be on TV. In fact, I taped AAT2 off of Cartoon Network years ago and then watched the VHS tape so much that now it won't play.....
I really need to get that film on DVD.
*waves to Cepp and Gorse*
@ Ruby and Winter. Hmm, nice cyclone.... though, I'm sure there is a less.... destructive way of getting around. BTW, watch out for witches wearing ruby slippers and stripped soaks!
*waves to Kat*
@ LL. LL!!! Tis great to see you around again!
Glad to hear you are doing well.

O.K, well I guess that gets everything. *looks over post* Hmm, not quite as long as normal, oh well.
Goodnight to all and I hope everyoen has a great Thanksgiving!!

*hurries into the Square* Mortereve all! Well, tomorrow's Thanksgiving. Later today our family's leaving to visit our grandparents, who live several hours away, for a few days...I might not be on NW much.
Ketchup:
Wow, it sounds like you'll be really busy, MA! That's so cool that you play the harp...my friend has one, and I taught myself to play one song on it, but that was all. I'd like to learn more sometime.
That's really cool that you're playing the harp in the Nutcracker ballet though!
I love playing Christmas music too! I got a Gaither Vocal Band Christmas CD several weeks ago and I've been listening to it tons.
Yes, NN95, I am an early bird. I love getting up early, because no one else in our family is up then, and the house is nice and quiet and I can sit in my bed and read. Lol.
I'm doing great, Ti. Very excited about Thanksgiving tomorrow and Christmas coming up after that!
LL!! Great to see you around again.
Ha, I know what you mean, PrinceCor. I don't like writing reports or stuff like that for school - that's boring.
So what are you doing for Thanksgiving?

*sits by the fire and tries to get warm* I have to say that I am pitiful when it comes to the cold. We don't usually get anything exciting in the way of weather though. If we did I might get outside and enjoy it.
LL, it is good to have you back. I haven't been around much either, but not because of school. I've been working, and doing the fire department thing.
*gives Vern some juicy turkey* It has been a while my dear dragon since we have conversed, although it is my fault, not yours.
NG, that is good to hear. I think we're going over to a friends house for thanksgiving then on Saturday most of Dad's family is coming over as well as my sister and her family. We should have a very full house. It will be fun though. I too can't wait to decorate for Christmas. We always do it on the 12th of December.
I so do love being back here with y'all guys.
And now I need to go get ready for work. I should be back on later today.
