*runs into the Square, splashing through rain puddles from all the rain we've gotten recently* It's Saturday! No school! :D/ I was up late last night watching Star Wars: A Phantom Menace, and I slept in this morning...now it's nearly 9 a.m. and I have a ketchup to do. So here goes.

Ketchup:

NN95, hmm, mostly schoolwork, etc. The next few weeks will be busy, though. On Wednesday we're leaving to visit our grandparents, who live several hours away, for a few days for Thanksgiving. Then, on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, our family is going on a vacation to an indoor water park. :D And then Christmas is coming up...and we'll be very busy.

FF, recently I finished reading Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale. It was very interesting and exciting. :D I've just gotten into Shannon Hale's books recently, and they're very good.
Oh, you had rain yesterday? We had a bad storm on Thursday. There was thunder and lightning and it rained practically all day...

Wow, the Square was really slow yesterday...where is everybody??

NG: I'm doing well! You? :) Who's in your avatar? :)

NN: Hey! *waves* :P

Mel: How is your writing going? :D

FF: Ooh, I like the rain too! :D ;)) I haven't started violin yet, but my first lesson is next Tuesday, on the 24th! :)

Talk to you later all!

*enters the Square* Mortereve all! Yesterday we put up our Christmas tree. (It's an artificial tree.) Unfortunately, some of the lights on the tree wouldn't light up. 8-| So either the lights are burned out or the one of the plugs is missing or something... But we might just stop by Target and buy a new Christmas tree after church this afternoon. I dunno. :p

Hmm. Only one post since yesterday. Very short ketchup today. ;)

I'm doing great, thanks, QS! Can't wait for Christmas! :) The girl in my avatar is Padme, from Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. :D What's your avie from?

Feels weird with such a small post... ;))

I may be hanging lights outside the house today. Depends when I get home. Trying to make it to church for the evening activities. Miss Rachel Marie loves it having the lights up by Thanksgiving.

Don't. :p

Lady Liln, I saw your post for Djac's sister in Prayer Request. Nice to see you lurking around.

“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”

*announcer enters square*

Good afternoon, all you Narnia-Webbers! And welcome to the fourth edition of the Ruby-Winter hour of utter insanity!

Today we have a special guest-star to be introduced later!

*announcer exits square*

A twister sweeps into the square. Riding in it's midst is a little house. *Ruby and Winter poke their heads out a window*

Ruby: Winter! I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore! By the way, where'd you get the tornado?

*sarcasm* That's just brilliant, Winter. Now how do we stop this thing before we take out the entire square!!!???

AIEEE!!! We're crash landing (again)!! *closes eyes*

*sploosh* *house lands gently in fountain*

I'm just gifted! I would have managed the last three times had you not interfered! *hides remote behind back*

Oh, yeah, that reminds me...You did make sure it was ok for us to take your house up in the twister, right? *pause* Right? *swallows*

Ruby: Well...I kind of forgot about that part...hehe, but it shouldn't be a problem. All my siblings and parents fainted with fright when they saw the tornado. By the time they wake up, we'll be back in Kansas--or wherever we came from. We can easily convince them that it was all a dream. *grins mischievously*

Ruby: Oh, stop worrying about it--OW!! *rubs back of head painfully* *turns to house* BRAVO!! Ditch the rubber bands! *turns to Winter* Hehe. Ok, so maybe some of them are awake already...

(note: Bravo is one of Ruby's younger brother's recently designated nicknames)

*Bravo grins and runs back into house, pretending to be scared and failing profusely* Bravo: Hey Mom! Guess what Ruby and Winter did...

*Ruby and Winter look at each other and then run towards house*

Ruby-Winter hour of utter insanity!!

God bless, all!!

Good mortereve all! :-h How is everyone doing? :)

It feels like forever since I've been in the Square, although it's only been *checks* six pages. Hmm.
Anyway, NaNo's decided to require much more time than it did at first, right as I hit the crazily busy part of November. :| Add to that school and work and too many other things... I miss being in here! :)

So anyway, my apologies to anyone who's waiting for a PM; I'll get on those as soon as I can! And a major ketchup will be coming soon as well! :)

Take care, everyone! Talk to y'all soon!

Mortereve, all!

Just thought I'd pop in for a moment and give a quick report of my friend's mother. Well, she is doing a heck of a lot better than she was tow weeks ago. Two weeks ago we didn't even know if she'd make it through the night. They are trying to keep the fever down still though. It's going above normal temperature and then below normal- just keep praying!

*sighs* I'm afraid I'll never be able to catch up on, oh, 20+ pages :-s . Oh, well, I can just start anew! I'll probably be here some during Thanksgiving break. Gosh! Christmas is fast approaching. We're going to have to get the tree up and decorations!

I'm afraid my NaNo is not going to be ready in seven days...no, no, no. I don't think doing it for NaNo is even a thought for me now. I'm just doing it basically for self pleasure now. There's always next year!

*sighs* I recall the days when I read the posts here everyday. School and everything else going on takes up most of that time now :( . Maybe one of these days I'll be able to do that again. But it just takes so much time! time that I don't have.

Anyway, I'm rambling now. G'day, Square Onions!

I met Georgie and Skandar AND saw the film in one evening.

Greetings, everyone! Just popping in for a quick catch-up! :D

Dani and Winty, you've started a trend!

It would appear so, Aiden :P!! I personally think that it's a very fun trend. :) And I love all the joint-posts, btw. They are so fun to read!! :D

Same here... ;))

Haha! ;) Just thing, Djaq, we only have one week left and then NaNoWriMo is done!

*glances at word count* Eeep! I'm behind! I need to hurry up with this post and get onto writing! :P

Dani! *hugs back* Life has been going really good over here! :D It has been a little crazy with various things, but it's not too bad. :) How have things been for you? :D
*reads on* Yay, for you getting piano lessons!! :D That's great!

Good to hear that everything's going well, Djaq! *hugs* Yeah, I can understand craziness. School has been crazy and now my family is supposed to be leaving for my grandmother's place tomorrow! Ack! I'm sure everything will turn out alright. :)

I'm really enjoying piano lessons. :) I'm working on brushing up on my Christmas Carols right now, because we're celebrating an early Christmas with my dad's mother this week. :)

Kat!! Good to see you on here. :) I like your avatar and signature. Haha! I'm always behind on catch-up, so don't worry about it too much. :P Hope you have a great thanksgiving break!!! Get lots of sleep! :D

Ruby: Yay for piano lessons! How fun! :D

They are lots of fun!! I just love playing the piano and for so long I've wanted lessons...*jumps with glee* and now I get lessons! Yay!

It's really handy having my mom teach me lessons, because whenever I'm practicing she'll always catch my mistakes and show me how to fix them. And whenever I need help, she's usually right there. My six other siblings get a little annoyed with me playing piano all the time, though. But I can't really help it...I love playing piano!!

I'm well, thank you! And you?

I'm doing very well, thanks to the fact that I got to sleep in today. :) No school for a week! Yay!

My avvy was made by flam I'm fairly sure. :D The girl in it is from the movie "Gods and Generals" I believe. :)

Oh! I need to see that movie! I've seen Gettysburg and I've been wanting to see Gods and Generals for a long time. It's a very pretty avvy. :)

Valia!! *HUGS* How are you? :) We've really missed you on the Square. :(

I promise not to tell a soul. ;) How did your break go? I presume you're back to writing now? :) I'm glad it's been going well for you! And tell your sister congratulations!! :) 70,000 words really good! :) But of course, any word count is good. :) :)

So! How is your life apart from NaNo going? :)

Haha! I guess my break went well, meaning I got all my homework done. :P Yes, I'm writing like crazy! One week left to go! *nervous* I know for a fact that my novel won't be near done at 50,000 words, but I'm still planning on finishing it after NaNo's over. :)

Life is going good. My family and I are getting ready to go to our grandmother's for an early Christmas celebration. I'm excited! I get two Christmas' this year. Life doesn't get any better than that. :) And it's been such a long time since we spent Christmas with my dad's mom. :)

How's everything going for you? Everyone seems to be crazily busy right about now. Homework does that to you.

Hi malkah! Good to see you on the square! :) Haha. I can understand the time-consuming part of NaNoWriMo. :P It's been taking up a lot of my time too. How have you been doing?

Edmund P, I am so glad to hear that your friend is doing better. I will definitely be praying for her.

I like your optimism. That's what I always do when I get behind on NW posts. Just start afresh. And don't worry about NaNo. I highly doubt that I'm finishing in a week. And like you said, there's always next year. :)

Well, I need to get off now and hand the computer over to my mother. :) I probably won't be back until after a week, considering the fact that I'll be spending my thanksgiving break in a farm house with no internet. *grins*

God bless, all!!

Mortereve all!

Heh, yeah! My Mom has gone to several meetings such as that for the library...who knew running a library could be so...complicated! ;) Heh, anyways. I'm glad that's not selfish to feel like that. :) I just remembered though that my library did have some books I was looking for (obviously more then once!) but in the recent past. It was nice to be able to read them without having to buy them...and we have used the internet there when ours was down...so...yeah. Anyways.

How are things for you? :)

Heh, 'tis indeed. Ah well, it wouldn't be devastating to us if the library closed since we don't often go there. But, it would be kinda sad. Yeah, in fact, just a couple days ago I got a book there a school project. I guess the library's not so bad after all. ;)

Great, thanks! How about with you?

BTW, you'll be interested to know I was able to use some music from Freeplay (for the first time actually in something) for a presentation someone asked me to put together. [/random]

I slept in this morning...now it's nearly 9 a.m.

Uh... that's sleeping in? I slept till 1 P.M. that day. :-o

Sounds fun! We, on the other hand, will be less busy in the coming days. Thanksgiving is coming up, but we're not going anywhere, so it'll be a good time to relax, and it'll be nice to have two days off of school. Then Christmas is coming up, but other than shopping, that'll be a pretty relaxing time, too, especially since I get a nice long Christmas break starting December 11. :)

*waves to Queen Susan* How's it going?

Great Ruby-Winter joint post once again, you two! Still say you should create a Ruby-Winter account. ;)

*waves to malkah*!

It would appear so, Aiden :P!! I personally think that it's a very fun trend. :) And I love all the joint-posts, btw. They are so fun to read!! :D

Indeed! I agree, they are all very fun to read. :)

Well, I'm off. Mort'reve all!

Good Mortereve all! :) I hope everyone has been having a pleasant day. :) I have been- although it's been rather overcast all day. No snow...no rain. I'd like snow, though. ;) I did some...mildly extensive but not so much research on the history of Bavaria today, that was rather interesting indeed. A bit random, I suppose, but hey, one never knows when such facts and knowledge of the history and culture of...Bavaria...might come in...handy? Right? ;)

It sounds like an exciting book! I've heard Shannon Hale's name before, I wonder if I've read anything by her. What sort of books does she write? :)

Wow! A thunderstorm? Is that unusual for where you live because it's so late and such?

Hurray for putting up Christmas trees! :) We have an artificial tree as well, but we haven't put it up yet. (Although my younger brothers seem to be asking every other day or so if we can. Ah, the Christmas cheer! ;) )
Queen Susan: Ah, okay! :) I hope your violin lessons go well, of course! :) :)

How is life with you? :)

Edmund P: Thank you for the update on your friend's Mom- I am so glad to hear that she's doing better, but of course I will still keep praying.

I'm sorry completing NaNo isn't something that is attainable- that would be rather discouraging at times. :( But you're right, you can do it next year. :) Or there are always ones such as July Novel Writing Month which is practically the same idea- 50,000 words in a month...maybe July will work better for you. :)

Haha! I guess my break went well, meaning I got all my homework done. :P Yes, I'm writing like crazy! One week left to go! *nervous* I know for a fact that my novel won't be near done at 50,000 words, but I'm still planning on finishing it after NaNo's over. :)

Oh good! :) I'm glad that you were able to accomplish everything you needed to get done, it's always a nice feeling not having that hang over your head, eh? Until the next round, of course. >_>

Life is going good. My family and I are getting ready to go to our grandmother's for an early Christmas celebration. I'm excited! I get two Christmas' this year. Life doesn't get any better than that. :) And it's been such a long time since we spent Christmas with my dad's mom. :)

Glad to hear it! :) I hope that your pre-trip and trip goes well- do you have far to travel? :) Two Christmas'- that sounds like fun! ;)

How's everything going for you? Everyone seems to be crazily busy right about now. Homework does that to you.

*nods* Yes indeed! And even just school and chores in general...my poor sister is much busier than I at present, but yeah, busy we are indeed. I think most things are going well for me though, we're planning Christmas presents and such, and tomorrow we get to go Christmas shopping. :D That should be fun, especially because the whole family is going shopping, so there'll be that quite fun time of dodging other family members when you've got their presents, and hiding them in bags and in corners of the van...ah yes. My biggest problem is currently how to get my sister's present without her seeing me. The store where it's at is, er, rather small, so one could be in one corner and almost see to the opposite corner (length ways...) so maybe she can be detained momentarily behind some shelves, or something. Hmm. *plans* ;) This should be fun. ;)) Anyways! :D

Heh, 'tis indeed. Ah well, it wouldn't be devastating to us if the library closed since we don't often go there. But, it would be kinda sad. Yeah, in fact, just a couple days ago I got a book there a school project. I guess the library's not so bad after all. ;)

Ah yes, hear hear! ;)

Great, thanks! How about with you?

Good, thanks! :) Things have been pretty usual, I guess. :) We've been watching some more Get Smart, from Season 3, so of course that has been quite a bit of fun. :)

BTW, you'll be interested to know I was able to use some music from Freeplay (for the first time actually in something) for a presentation someone asked me to put together. [/random]

Hurray! :) Isn't it nice to have such a nice library of really nice music to use in projects like that? We always used to use movie soundtracks, which are nice, of course, but somehow now the same. (Probably because they've already been used in a movie). So to have a place where we can find really nice free stuff is, well, nice. ;)

Well....I should be off. :) Cheeri-O everyone! :)

Kind folks of old, you come again no more.

If I may, what is your story about? :)

The short answer is it's a swashbuckler. The long(er) answer is that it's a alternate-universe Narnia fan-fic mishmash of PC and Prisoner of Zenda and a few other books I can't think of right now masquerading as original fiction. Oh! And a little bit of Bleak House snuck in too. The idea was to see if I could work in a Susaspian style romance, and see if it was as weird when the author intended for it to be included, but I don't think my Susan character is going to fall in love with the Prince. I'm not heartbroken over this twist, but I still wonder what might have happened...

Su², my writing is going well. I may have to wrap the story up in a 'and nothing else happened on the way home' style on the 30th, though. :)) How is your writing going? And your first violin lesson is tomorrow! How exciting! :D

Ruby/Winter, I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that the guest star Bravo was not entirely supposed to be in the show? ;)) The tornado was very nice and... um... colourful.

Malkah, I like the Bright Star avvy very much. (I know nothing about Bright Star, but I've seen that shot before.) May I use it sometime? :)

Hey Ben, how are you? I love your avatar! ;))

Djaq!! I love the coloring on your avatar! :) beeautiful!

*waves to QS* random.. I didn't realize you were the only girl currently living at your house.

Hi Malkah! I feel your pain... I feel so bad when I don't follow the square closely

EP!!! Hey! Don't worry about catching up.. yeah I did that recently and was just not motivated enough to go back through everything. anyway, man, I love your sig and avatar! I am now absolutely addicted to Hello Hurricane. And Switchfoot. As you can see from my av/sig. :P I'm listening to Needle and Haystack life right now :)

Which I guess, can lead right into my Switchfoot story that happened on Friday :P I already posted this in the Favorite Music thread so if anyone's already read this please forgive me. ;)
Sooo basically the story is 1 week ago I posted on youtube a video of me covering Your Love Is A Song on the piano (here). Then on Friday I notice the views are going way, way up really fast... I had no idea why. But then I read some of the comments, and a bunch of them said stuff like "switchfoot actually mentioned this on their twitter, and I can see why" or "yep jon did deff post this on their twitter, beautiful." And then it took a second to sink in, but when it finally hit me I was just like WHOA! Jon Foreman found this video and liked it enough to post it to their twitter... that's why so many people were watching it. So I went and looked on Switchfoot's twitter... here's the update Jon posted: http://twitter.com/switchfoot/status/5895535119
And then as you can imagine I freaked out when I saw that.
Anyway. ;)) End of story.

Ruby, thanks, I keep changing my av/sig, but they're still always SF related. ;)) Are you doing anything special for Thanksgiving?
