Hello all! *waves* I fear this must be a very short catchup, so without further ado, the catch up.
*waves to Cor* Thank you! Yes indeed- it is Sherlock Holmes (or, the artist's interpretation of) indeed!
Lissa Hello! Yes, I think we've been introduced before-- I remember seeing you around the Square before. How are things with you & your family?
Lady Arwen, yes, I know I've seen you around on the forums before & the like. It is most pleasant to be officially introduced to each other.
Aiden...yes, or some other large price like that. I realize some television shows are probably worth that much (considering, there's more then one disc, and quite a few hours of entertainment, compared to $30.00 for one movie) but sometimes I don't want to pay it, especially knowing it's going to go down in price.
*waves to Narnia Girl* Ouch about the bird feeder- I hope the bear or whatever did it goes away. We've had bear sightings up around where I live, one time we even had one on our front yard in the early evenings, but thankfully, we were all inside when that happened. (Very Thankful about that. Being Bear Meat is not my highest ambition in life.
Mel *sniffs* Your plan hasn't worked? That's too bad! But yes, it's the same version. Maybe, you could watch it with your sister before she finishes the book, so she'd perhaps get a better opinion on the story? I know with my sister, she's seen quite a few Dickens, Austen, etc, before she read the books, and it's actually helped her continue on with reading the books, and such.
Djaq Big congarats to your sister!!! That is REALLY exciting news! I hope all goes well!
It's good to see you around ~LL~! I'm sorry you had account troubles, but I'm glad you got it all worked out.
*waves to Queen Susan* How are you?
Annnnddd now I should be off. Our television show starts in about 40 minutes, so I'd better get everything set up and ready to go. Cheers everyone!
Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
Kind folks of old, you come again no more.
(Robert Louis Stevenson)
Hello all! *Waves*
@ Winter: (we were talking about approaching adulthood) Yes...I kind of know how that feels. Sometimes I look back in my old journals, and read things that I wrote when I was 13 or 14, and sometimes even things about how 'old' being 15 will be...and now...the years have gone by so fast! But that's alright- time has proven to me that God is with me every step of the way, which is so comforting!
It's kinda funny, isn't it? When I was little I was convinced I'd been five for years. (Yes, I was a silly five-year old.) But, now I get a jolt every time I realise my birthday's in a couple months and very soon another year will have passed, in practically no time at all.
I liked the old emoticons more than I like these new ones... . Hey, I bet i can get the old nerd face back...let's see...Image
So do I. But at least some of them are ok, like this little guy: He's cute!
I guess I'll need to work on mine then.
You'd better!
Hehe, you don't want to know.
I'm sure you've not done anything crazier than I have.
Good question! Hmm... how about I let you chose?
Ok! *Makes mental note*: Remind Flam not to have Jojo (the Town Sqaure Coroner) examine her body after she is dead (No offense, Jojo!) We love you!
What, really? Are you serious? Yay! Hurrah! I start with a fresh slate... zero mistakes. I feel so proud of myself!
Yup! Dead serious. Well, actually, I feel pretty alive. But the point still remains...You have absolutely no mistakes! All you have to do is keep it that way!
*waves to WinterStar* How are you? Now...who is that in your signature? I must ask.
*Waves back* I'm good. Eh, just a character from an episode of Doctor Who The episode's Silence in the Library. The character is the only one who knows what's going on. She hides her face because it's been badly marred. That wasn't a very good explanation, but if you're curious go watch it!
See y'all!

Moretereve everyone! How are you all this evening/morning/afternoon?
Gosh...... I am so embarrased. I missed about the last 40 pages of the old TS in the last forum. August was a terrible month for me and I am SO sorry for not coming to talk to you all! I really wanted too, but I just wasn't in the mood to type half the time.
I only posted once on the first page of this TS and I hope to post at least every other day now. Course, once dance starts up in 2 weeks I won't be on much because the classes are later but i'll still be on! Sundays are more free now ever since I stopped riding........
Anywho, how are you all?? What have I missed? You remember I said in about..... oh, late June that i'd post a pic of my Bday cake?? You all still want me too? I'm happy to do so!
Well..... that's about it I have to say now. I think i'm just going to browse the forum and a couple of other sites now. I'll be lurking!
Proud ballet dancer!
4/23/12 - First triple pirouette en pointe!
Good mortereve all!
I'm back for a catch-up post.
"Ok. From this point on, all you're going to be is a hindrance." *Shaw pulls out a pistol*
"What? Are you going to shoot me, Shaw? Well, you can't shoot me. There's more to the riddle, information I have, you don't."
Oh, do you still want me to use red text for you?
Well put! Obviously, getting the dialogue right isn't the only factor. I could sit in front of a camera and read the Chronicles, but is that a good film adaption? Obviously not! Or, I could create these massive sets that were exactly how everyone pictured Narnia (we're speaking hypothetically, remember) but not have any dialogue that even closely resembled the book. Or, I could have absolutely everything right to satisfy everyone, and then do a little cartoon Aslan. That wouldn't work too well either. There are many factors that go into making a good adaption. And, you can't please everyone with every aspect.
I think the Walden movies have been great so far, because they got a lot right. There were some major things they got wrong, but (opposite to the way salvation works) the good outweighed the bad. The BBC movies, on the other hand, may have gotten some aspects correct, but failed terribly in others, or so I've heard. That makes it a bad adaption.
Another ramble, sorry!
Wow, a very good and to the point ramble. I'm not sure that I can elaborate any more on any of this. You stated it correctly. Besides, we already agree about it...
Ah, but of course you will! (Unlike the mimers!)
That's true. I'm finding your complete change of position...amusing.
"I suppose saying we're sorry wouldn't quite cover it?" LWW. Not quite sure exactly how that quote goes.
It's "I don't suppose saying we're sorry would quite cover it?" (I think ).
"Why should that make such a difference?" The Princess Bride.
Yes, well, I'd be glad to visit them in France, of course..... but not if a sheep is going to fly me!
Yes, going to France would be lovely! I think I would object though for the same reason you did.
I've never seen Amazing Grace or heard the music for it, but people have said that it's really good.
Yeah, you should look it up. I got it off of YouTube.
I've only seen it once, and come to think of it, I don't really remember what the music sounded like. I remember the last bit though, it was pretty.
Oh, I see how it works. It's not enough that I've made 4 mistakes. Now everybody has to go and laugh at me! Well! ( )
Oh, I'm sorry, here's some free stuff... Sorry. I'm quoting something.
Well, I'm sorry if you're offended, but may I point out that that may be a failing? ( )
Well, it wasn't just for NarniaWeb. It was also so that I could have an extra long weekend. And, I also needed to catch up on some much-needed sleep. And, I just kinda felt like it. And, the list of reasons go on. However, I am glad that I have so much time on NW today.
Ah, I see. I doubled up on school yesterday (it wasn't so I wouldn't have school today ), but it didn't take too long to do it.
Hello there dear Djaq! Fantastique to see you again! Yes. AGES. *hides face*
I love your creative spelling! No need to hide your face, you are not in trouble, we are merely saying that we missed you.
Haha, my brother just brought me frozen cookies that he "just made". Hmm, I don't think these are completely fresh.
Thanks for the suggestions Djaq! I'll need to listen to those!
Let me know what you think, k?
You know, we haven't chatted in awhile. If you're ever free, I'd love to.
I love your graphics right now!! Those are some of my favorites!
Tell us all about the TAN concert!!
*waves to Winty* Aw, I'm sorry that the New Forum doesn't like you.
But...but...she started it! *points at Djaq*
What? Me?
Funny thing is that flam actually did whack me in the face yesterday! It was accidental, and we laughed quite a bit afterward.
*laughs evilly and assumes her 'angry face' (as Djaq calls it)*
NO...NO! Not the "angry face"!!
Well, that wasn't nice of you!
You said that you were acting.
No! I assure that I wasn't calling you a opossum!
Then why do you keep quoting me as "The Opossum"?
"She's my fiance."
That's just a little weird.
Thank you! That was very informative!
*bows*
*pats Djaq on the head* Don't worry about it, it's an older sister thing.
Ow! When you "pat" someone on the head...it's actually a smack!
Oooh, Gymfan, I love the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack! It's really pretty! I don't think I've heard any Disney Parks music...
I feel so proud of myself!
*cough* Pride goes before a fall. *cough*
Now that we're starting from scratch, I figure this is as good of a time as any to try and see if I can take the plunge again.
Yay! I hope that you do stick around!
Djaq: Ah, okay! All the best with that! Do you know what some of your responsibilities will be?
I'm not entirely sure what all of it will entail, but I will probably be side-walking with a child (holding them in place as they ride around the arena).
I'm sure brother-in-laws are just as good as uncles.
Well, my brothers-in-law are great, so let's hope that uncles are just as good!
*waves to Edisk*
Oh great, I've insulted her now..... JK
I don't think that you're really worried. ( )
I did buy a few tracks the other day--A River Flows In You (no words)
I have the music for that song. It's really pretty!
Oh Djaq, amusement parks are always lots of fun! I love water rides.
Yes, they are great fun!
*waves to Mel*
I really miss the old emoticons, though.
So do I...
Djaq, that's wonderful about your sister! Congratulations!
Thank you!
That's so exciting, DJ!!!!! 😀 *grins* What wonderful news!! I hope the pregnancy goes smoothly this time!! Is this her second one then, or did she already have some children? Anyway... Congratulations, Aunt DJ! 😉 J/K
Thank you! This will be her first child. At the moment, I can't really seem to picture her as a mom...She'll be a good one, but I just can't see it right now.
"Aunt DJ"? I like it.
Hey, pon! How are you?
*waves cheerily to Djaq, Princess and LL*
*waves in return*
Conga-rats to your sister, Djaq!
Thank you very much! I'm excited.
Djaq Big congarats to your sister!!! That is REALLY exciting news! I hope all goes well!
Thank you! (sorry if I'm sounding like a broken record )
You'd better!
Yikes! I will.
I'm sure you've not done anything crazier than I have.
Well, we could debate on this, or we could just let it go and both be content with being equally random.
Well, there's a football game on behind me, so I better get back over there before half-time is over.

Mortereve all! I hope everyone is having a good evening? I'm definitely having a good one!
@ NN. Oh well, sometimes I think one composer did a score and it turns out someone I never heard of did it..... I highly recommend both of those. Go to Amazon.com and listen to some samples from each CD though, before you buy them. "Alien" has very strange sound to it, very... well, alien. But it's a great score, dare I say it, a true film score masterpiece.
@ Fanny. <--- tis easier to type, if you don't mind me calling you that from now on.
You're quite welcomed! I thought it was him. I was trying to place which film/TV version it was....
*waves to TGW* Nice to see you around again! It's been a long time!
@ Djaq. *tips hat to the lovely lady*
Fortunately for both of us, I was not truly worried that I had upset you. I just couldn't help but use that smilie.

In fact I was so upset at the look of the forum that I told one of my family members that I was going to quit NarniaWeb and never get back on.
Wow. I must say, that's kind of... shocking. 😉 A little extreme, wouldn't you say? Just kidding...
The last Driver's Ed class where I had to drive was over on Thursday. (Sorry, that emoticon just reminded me of myself driving a car)
*laugh* Now that you mention it, yes, it does remind me of driving a car too!
No worries! She changed it back!
Yep, just noticed that too today!
I know there are so many things that make Firefox better, but I'd have trouble listing them.
Yeah, same here.
*waves to Queen Susan* How are you?
*waves back* Quite well, thank you!! My older brother (General Lee) just got back from a 5-day hike in the Colorado mountain tops!! He went with 3 other people from our church. He said the first 2 days were grueling, the next 2 were relaxing, and then the next one was grueling and terrifying because the mountain was really steep and... it would be a long drop if he stepped of the edge, which wasn't far away.
So anyway, I'm extremely happy to have him back... 😀 and I'm excited about that... He says he's happy to be back too. I don't blame him. (Maybe he'll be more thankful for the cooking now...(not that he wasn't earlier) but on the hike they got oatmeal every morning, and half the time it was cold I think.) (Oh wait... that's the drooling emoticon) 😉 I'm not a fan of cold oatmeal. Sorry.
"Aunt DJ"? I like it.
*laugh* Good! 😉 I may call you that more often! 😉

Aiden...yes, or some other large price like that. True, I suppose it is worth it. One movie on a DVD would cost $30? Yep, we wait for the price to go down, too.
Yup! Dead serious. Well, actually, I feel pretty alive. But the point still remains...You have absolutely no mistakes! All you have to do is keep it that way!

Oh, do you still want me to use red text for you?
If you still want to. On the old forum it was easier to do colors than on the new forum (that's why I'm making my whole post blue instead of coloring everyone's quotes accordingly), but if you still want to do the red, that's fine. If not, don't worry about it!
Wow, a very good and to the point ramble. I'm not sure that I can elaborate any more on any of this. You stated it correctly. Besides, we already agree about it...
Aww man! Whenever we agree the conversations get so boring. Anyway, I'll guess we'll pick this up again when the next podcast comes out.
That's true. I'm finding your complete change of position...amusing.
Of course. (White doesn't work on this new forum because the tan is darker. ) What's so amusing about it?
It's "I don't suppose saying we're sorry would quite cover it?" (I think ).
"Why should that make such a difference?" The Princess Bride.
Ah, thanks. Been a while since I've watched LWW.
"He don't know. He don't know!" Gomer Pyle, USMC.
Yes, going to France would be lovely! I think I would object though for the same reason you did.
Well, I'm certainly glad I'm not alone on that point!
I've only seen it once, and come to think of it, I don't really remember what the music sounded like. I remember the last bit though, it was pretty.
Ah ok. Well, would you recommend it?
Oh, I'm sorry, here's some free stuff... Sorry. I'm quoting something.
Well, I'm sorry if you're offended, but may I point out that that may be a failing? ( )
Ah the evil quotress.
By "failing", do you mean to imply that I've made yet another mistake?!! NOOOOOO! Ah, but remember! WinterStar said that I start off with a clean slate!
Ah, I see. I doubled up on school yesterday (it wasn't so I wouldn't have school today ), but it didn't take too long to do it.
I wish it didn't take me long to double up on school. But school itself takes about 4 or 5 hours, I think (with no breaks) plus homework is another couple hours.
*cough* Pride goes before a fall. *cough*
Ok, I feel so humble! Look, look! Look at my humbleness everyone! (Guess that's not much better )
@ NN. Oh well, sometimes I think one composer did a score and it turns out someone I never heard of did it..... I highly recommend both of those. I'm doing pretty well. We had some friends over tonight. It went really well.
Double N, dinner was good, and yes I did make it. The fact that we were starving might have had something to do with it also though.
I am going to kill this machine out of frustration. Usually I just put ctrl B and it makes stuff bold, but I can't do that any more on NW.
Mel, we had broiled pork, bread, salad, and green beans. Everything was great!
Djax, that is awesome news about your sister!!!
*listens to Phil Keaggy*
TGW, it is good to see you around again. I'd be interested in seeing the cake.
Now lets see if my coding worked.
Hey it did!

I like the new forum. You know why I like the new forum? Because I’ve actually started posting again. It’s good to see all of you again. Hopeful I’ll be around more henceforth, of course if I get a job I’ll probably vanish again. Also, no school Monday, woot!
My sister is pregnant!!!
Oh cool Djah! Tell her congrats for me! You probably said something in that chat today and I missed it.
On the subject of the new emoticons, I was always a huge fan of yahoo’s smilies so I’m very happy. I do miss NarniaWeb’s old laughing emoticon though. So long evil hamsters. *sniff sniff*
@ NN. Oh well, sometimes I think one composer did a score and it turns out someone I never heard of did it.....
I’m trying to remember what movie I was watching the other day that sounded exactly like Harry Gregson-Williams did the score. Anyways, it wasn’t him... it was some random guy I’d never heard of.
*uses Windows Explorer instead of Firefox mostly because it’s easier to open new tabs* I’m a shallow shallow person who’s supporting giant corporate agendas instead of independent, free software, I know I know.
and then the next one was grueling and terrifying because the mountain was really steep and... it would be a long drop if he stepped of the edge, which wasn't far away.
Wow, that sounds exciting. O_o I like hikes, but usually they aren’t dangerous unless you go off the path. *thinks of a random hiker her family met in the Rocky Mountain National Park that claimed he’s been going straight down the mountain without follow a trail and recommended it*
And hello Tiana! How's everything going? (And making things bold isn't that hard. You just have to type without the spaces. It takes a little longer but it's not hard.
Hello Ti'ana! My evening is going really well. It sounds like you have had a good evening as well.

Hey Cor of the Princely persuasion! I lost touch with you too, don't feel too bad.
I've been good. My internship went really well. I learned a lot about plant material in the midwest and I got to work with customers a few times. That was the most fun which is strange because I'm shy, but I guess when you're helping someone out with something you know a lot about it's kind of fun.
I think I'll like my classes too. I haven't had much homework yet which I'm not going to complain about. Dropped out of Spanish though. That class was NOT for beginners. O_o I don't know how anyone is supposed to learn a language that fast. (For one thing the teacher never spoke english except when she went over the syllabus.)
So what about you? Something must have happened while I was away, or else I pity your uneventful life.
Edit: I wonder why my posts are being centered. Kind of weird and annying since I can't find the code to change alignment.
Alright, I'll try not to feel too bad then.
Sounds like you're life has been going well, except for that Spanish class.... I'm glad to hear that your internship went really well. It sounded very interesting what you told me.
I've been doing well. Lets see..... interesting things... O.K, here we go:
Got to meet Jojo and Lissa along with their family the middle of last month. We all went to the Creation Museum together as well as stayed in the same guest house. That was a lot of fun!
This past Wednesday Peter S. Beagle came to our local library and spoke. Mom really enjoyed that.
I also bought two new soundtracks, though you already now about that thanks to FB.
And I start school on Tuesday.
I think that covers all the big stuff. So, you don't have to worry with pitying my uneventful life.

Well, I finally made it to the new Town Square. Aravanna, I'm glad the internship was a good success. And cool about helping the customers out. And it's wonderful (and that's putting it mildly) to see you in the Square again.
Tiana, which album of Keaggy's are you listening to? He is AMAZING! Did you get my PM on the old forum (thanking you for the special package in the mail)? Say HI to Atamar from me!
PrinceCor, I heard all about the visit from Mr. Beagle via your mom, and her excitement was contagious. I can just imagine how it was at your house!
And how are you doing, NN? Ahhh, it's good to see the good 'ol SquareOnions in their usual spot.
