*Cor and Vern enter the Square discussing the downpour AL had yesterday*

Mortereve all! I trust everyone is doing well? Sorry for disappearing for about a week..... again. It's become kind of a hobby with me as of late it seems. :p

Oh yeah! Something I've been meaning to mention for a while..... I have my own Blog!!!! :D It's a blog about soundtrack reviews (big surprise there....). So, if anyone is interested, here's the link: http://bennettsreviews.blogspot.com/ Enjoy! :)

*Cor and Vern take their usual seats at the fountain*

O.K, now for a ketchup post.....

----------------------------------------

@ Mel. *the Prince and Dragon return the friendly wave to the lady* I think over half of NW is doing NaNoWriMo.... :p Anyway, how have you been of late?

@ Lucy. I really like your new avatar! Neat drawing of Vader, though is it just me or does his eye's look a little odd? :-

@ Malkah. I thought I was talking to you.... oh well. I've forgot. ;)

Yes, Psycho is a Hitchcock film. I thought it was good, though most of the scares were not scary to me. Probably the fact that most of the "jump scenes" have been shown so many times on TV and the fact the "shower scene" has been spoofed so much kind of kill some of the suspense from those parts. The most frightening scene for me was the ending where "mother" is talking.... :-ss Overall, a good thriller/horror film.

@ Rose. *waves and bows to the young lady and her companion* Nice to see you around again, Rose! *glances at his posts as of late* Eh, this is what I get for popping in once a week..... ;))

*thanks Rose profusely for quoting what he said so many pages ago.*

I know the feeling. It does feel nice to know one has been missed. :) Pretty much a full ditto about school, though no homework for me and math is actually going pretty well at the moment.

I have a grandmother (Dad's mom) who lives up the street and then Lady A's parents live a few miles away. I also have some cousins who live in town. The rest of the extended family is either spread throughout the state or live in other parts of the country. :)

Ah, the power of suggestion.... ;) We haven't had hot chocolate in a few weeks now. *sigh* Maybe we can go to the dairy farm this weekend and get some more milk. :)

I've never tried to make graphics, I simply let the pros do their thing. :p I still have a few Batman avatar's I have not used yet....

@ GreenLeaf. Quite welcomed! I hope you had a splendid birthday. :D

Ah yes, that was a great part as was the

Spoiler
hostage scene with Two-Face and Gordon's family. That was really intense! The ending monologue by Gordon is a true classic moment, though I still have issues with the music.... *pet peeve*
I rented the DVD as well, but I had already read the plot synopsis, so I knew what the whole film contained and how it ended. Yeah, that scene with the Joker was too much in my opinion.

Thanks! I'm really enjoying it. :D

@ Pels. Thanks! Though, we disappeared after that post..... :p

@ Stardf. Congrats Mr. Seaman!!!! *salutes*

*waves to the fleeting LL*

@ Pogginfan. Well at least we have all the good holidays to look forward to. ;) :)

@ Fanny. Yes, it's always a lot of fun to find a CD that's at a really good price. It seems to make the music all the better. Goofy, I know, but anyway.

@ Lys. *chuckles at Lys's trouble with the washer* Sorry, but tis a comical tale. Were you able to get your clothes back to normal?

Well, we can definitely agree on Gaslight. I thought it was a truly great suspense/thriller. My only complaint is the last scene on the roof felt unneeded. I recommend the other three, for various reasons.

I take it you like West Side Story? For me, it's just hard to accept these rough NY gang kids breaking-out into ballet-like dancing at the drop of a hat. /:) The rest of the film is fine, it's just that element that disrupts the experience for me. Sorry! If it makes it any better, I re-watched PJ's King Kong about a month ago and have come to the conclusion that it's not that great. I remembered it being better than it is.... ;)) :p

*waves to Bella*

@ Djaq. Glad to hear your both doing well, even if you are busy. ;) All is well here. :)

----------------------

O.K, that was a long post.... though, it will probably look smaller when it gets posted. *shrug* Well, that does it for me tonight.

I hope everyone has had a good Veterans Day! Goodnight!

*Cor and Vern exit the Square*

Avvie by the great Djaq!

Glad to hear you came through the remnants of Ida relatively unscathed!

(Truth be told, though I know "AL" is the postal abbreviation for Alabama, I grew up with it as the abbreviation for the name of the town we lived in (Albert Lea) - so occasionally I still do a double-take when I see it).

I should try Gaslight sometime. I'm familiar with the premise, and the writers of the animated series Gargoyles indicated it was the inspiration for one of their episodes ("Shadows of the Past").

I'm one of those NarniaWebbers trying my hand at NaNo this month - though this is my first attempt. It's fun, getting me to write without editing and reworking every paragraph. ;))

Kelly's Heroes, Earel? I like that movie, though it's been years since I watched it last. Maybe another rewatch?

So many movies, so little time. I just picked up the DVD of Up today, so that one's next on my list.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

First, a huge congrats to Fanny for reaching the 50,000 word goal on Nano!!! That is most incredible! :)

Well, then *waves to poggy* You can call me GeorgieXO or GXOXOs! Yes, I like to bake more in the winter time though!! :p

*waves back to GeorgieXO* ;) Oh yes, winter is the best time to bake. :D I love Christmas-y foods!

@Lys Yes, Rintoul is indeed by favorite Darcy. :) I thought he brought a good balance of pride and shyness, and I liked the way he looked at Lizzy. "An earnest, steadfast gaze [but there was doubt] whether there was much admiration in it, and sometimes it seemed nothing but absence of mind." (That's a quote from the book) I find Firth's gaze doesn't at all match up to that description. :S
I would agree with you that Rintoul was still a little too stiff in the second half, though. :) Like I said, I've never been really satisfied with Darcy in any of the adaptions. Thus, I could see myself being persuaded that Firth or Macfayden did a better job. ;)
Ditto about the '95 Mr. Collins! He was simply overly ridiculous. I doubt such a person could exist back then. :P
*Could start going on about the '95 vs. '08 Edward, but decides this is enough rambling for now* :P

Yes, I was cruel to be sure, but I'm glad you don't think I'm incredibly cruel. ;)

For that matter, why not write all 50,000 in one sitting? Never mind, I don't want to even think about that. @-) ;)) Ditto that, thank goodness for word wars. :)

If I actually sat down and wrote 50,000 words in one sitting without getting up, I am convinced I would loose my mind. :P
*Ditto's Mal's ditto* :P

@Winter Oh, good! :D I'm glad to hear you're doing okay. :) I'm quite good. :) Though life seems a little repetitive right now, due to school. :P
I like your avy, what's it from?

*takes fedora off in honor of Fanny* ;)

Just wondering, but would that be the same fedora you bought a few months ago? The one you were thinking about returning? ;) ;))
You've been missed in the Square!

Very boring... (-| if you ask me ;;)

;)) I'm simply not as creative as you when it comes to entrances. :P Today I didn't even make one up...so I suppose that means I never entered the Square? ;) Which must mean I'm just viewing it from a helicopter. ;) ;))

Oh, I know the feeling. It's like, you're excited that you got done with school, and then there's nothing to do... I almost prefer busy days, because I feel a sense of accomplishment afterwards. :)

;)) Yes, that's exactly what happened! I think I do prefer busy days to boring ones. But I don't like them busy to the point of stressful.

Heylo, Naiadwaker! *extends hand* How are you? I'm glad you decided to visit. :) Do try to venture by again!

*giggles at Ben's love for the emoticons* :P

Mmm hmm! :) Have you watched it yet? :D

That's quite a massive post!
I did watch it, and I would reccomend it. ;) I liked the fact that not much makeup was used on the actors/actresses. It gives it a realistic feel. :) I liked Anne, I wasn't sure about Wentworth, and I thought all the Musgroves were great. :)

Ooh, I'm praying, Ed! That does sound very bad. :( Keep us updated, please!

Well at least we have all the good holidays to look forward to. ;) :)

Indeed! :D Your blog looks really good, I actually didn't know you were a soundtrack fanatic. :)

*dashes into the Square* I slept in a bit more than usual today, so this will be a fast ketchup. ;))

Ketchup:

NN95, so, do you have to get braces or something again after your retainer?
Oh, and that's neat that you got to see Up. :D It's a cool movie.

Hey NaiadWaker, welcome to the Square! :)

GeorgieXOXO, here are a few links to some of my favorite Kingdom Heirs songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Q-hUTJFLpw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dl7clflR ... re=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3I8VaKFftsM

Djaq, yeah, it was really cool seeing the cub! He was so small and cute.

EP, wow, I'll definitely be praying for your mom! I hope she'll be feeling better soon.

Thanks, PrinceCor! *studies Darth Vader's eyes in the avie* Oh, you're right, they do look a little different. ;)) I didn't even notice that.

Anyway, yesterday evening we had a missions conference at our church. We had some missionaries from Brazil visiting, and it was really cool getting to see them and hear them talk about their lives as missionaries. :) Today I believe we'll mostly be at home...doing schoolwork. So boring. ;)) ;) Looks like it'll rain some more today, too. It was raining steadily like all day yesterday.

*peeks out into the square from her cozy cave*

If I keep this NaNoWriMo thing up...I'll turn into a hermit! A hermit who does nothing but sit in front of a computer all day... *sigh*

Ah! Good to be back in the old Town Square!

How is everyone? I'm doing rather well myself. I'm still extremely busy what with dance, music, school, and NaNoWriMo. But life is good. And the weather is lovely. :)

All the trees in my yard outside are pretty much bare and so there's a lovely gold carpet on the ground. I love fall.

*glances at fingers which are very ink-stained*

And if you're wondering where I've been the last...month? two weeks? I blame NaNoWriMo. Every spare moment I can get I'm writing my story...well, aside from these few spare moments I'm spending on NarniaWeb. :P

Anyway, I'm justifying myself in that I'm not as crazy about NaNoWriMo as some people I know *glares in ForeverFan's direction* ;)

Benjamin! Good to see you on the forums! How are you?

Djaq!! *hugs* How has life been going these days? Not too crazy?

Narnia Girl!! I've missed you! How's everything going?

Edmund P! Good to see that you managed to stick around the forums. *looks guilty* I'm very bad with keeping up with things like this...but I came to a point where I couldn't stay away any longer.

I've missed everyone... :(

Winter!! *HUGS* ;) I know, saying hi on this forum is kind of silly when we see each other every day...

*waves to Queen Susan, Aiden, and anyone else around the square...

Well, I've got to run! Homework awaits, as always.

God bless, everyone!!

Mortereve all! How dost thou SquareOnions fare?

You had? Good! Wait, did you guess before or after I posted? /:) ;)

I assumed you were not dead before you posted. I was assured of such after you posted. ;)

*waves to Queen Susan*

I haven't seen Up yet. Is it worth renting in Blockbuster, or should I wait for it to come out on Redbox for a dollar? :-

We got it at Redbox! The day it came out! If it hasn't come to yours yet, I'd say it's still worth getting at Blockbuster.

It is really.... Djaq?!?! :-o It's been waaay too long!

Yes, we had six, I believe. The subscription thingy changed when the forum switched and now it works differently.

I know it works differently. After you visit the thread, you only get one notification until you visit again. I like that, so it doesn't fill up my inbox. But I didn't get any notifications..., except one post that DiGoRyKiRkE made. Ah well, I'll still have to check out the entries.

Well, this time we both get some really long lines. :P
"That would bother most people." (I love that line! ;)) )

Yeah, true.
Haha, I love that one, too.
"Ian's gonna try to steal it, and if he succeeds, he'll destroy the Declaration. The fact is, the only way to save the Declaration is to steal it. It's upsidedown. I don't think there's a choice.

"Don't say things you don't mean, Josie." Anne of Avonlea. (I could have left off the "Josie" part, but I decided not to ;) )

"Yes, mum!" LWW. (Naw, names like that make lines unique. They wouldn't be the same without them.)

Am I in trouble again? :P He didn't say anything about it (I didn't tell him either). :P

Well, as long as you didn't tell him, of course he didn't say anything. ;)) So, you teeth still stayed in place even though you only wore it at night? Hmm, they told me I had to wear it at least 20 hours per day... :|

"Neither are you." :P (this is fun! ;)) )

"A common enemy unites even the oldest of foes." ('Tis that!)

Hey, Edmund P! I was wondering when you'd drop by again.

Ooh, that's awful about your friend's mom. I'll be praying.

Hey, neat blog, Bennett!!

NN95, so, do you have to get braces or something again after your retainer?
Oh, and that's neat that you got to see Up. :D It's a cool movie.

Nope, after my retainer, I'm done with dental wear forever! (Hopefully...)
Yeah, it is a cool movie. Though, as is the case with all movies, I'd have to see it again to get a better idea of how much I like it.

*waves to Dani*!!!!

I'm off. Mort'reve all!

I thank each of you for praying for my friend's mom. There have been no new reports in today, which is good. "No new is good news."

Hopefully I will be able to get 50,000 words for NaNoWriMo (yes I am doing it). I've only been at it four days with only *gulp* 3000 words... #:-s

Speaking of which! I need to get back to!

*Lady Amalthea enters the Square, desperately needing chocolate, and trips over a tree root*

Oh goodness gracious! I desperately need to visit the chocolate tree. The royal abode had gotten infested with spiders and now my nerves are all nervey! :-ss I wish I could blame Vern, but it really isn't his fault - this time. I guess we should have done something about that huge spider that took up residence in the north tower. It was there before we knew it and since it took up the entire tower we thought it best to leave it alone. After all, how long does a spider live, anyway?

Oh, speaking of giant spiders, that reminds me of Johobbytla. Not that you remind me of a spider, but you remind me of Tolkien. I'm sure you understand. Anyway, King Lune and Prince Cor got me the loveliest gift for my birthday last month. It's a book: JRR Tolkien Artist & Illustrator. It's one of the books that will be listed in the next issue of SL.

I suppose I should get back to Anvard now that I'm done harvesting some chocolate. On the bright side, Prince Cor has been getting in a lot of great fencing practice skewering spiders.

Good night, everyone!
