So, folks, I just figured out that I'm an idiot. (Cue the groans and I-told-you-sos.) I totally used toilet bowl cleaner instead of laundry detergent when I was washing my clothes and SHEETS at the honors center this evening! I didn't even notice until I had them all dried and brought them back to my room. I read the back of the bottle and it said prominently, "KEEP OUT OF EYES AND CLOTHES." So now I am having to wash and dry them all over again in the dorm laundry rooms.

Hence the rare, unexpected, but not unprecedented visit to the Town Square.

Yes, it's usually not a good thing to over hype a movie/book. But I'm pretty certain I'll love it since I already know and love the plot, etc. (Unless it's a very unfaithful adaption, which you've convinced me it is not. )

Please don't think me incredibly cruel, Lys, but I was really laughing at your post. It reminded me of the time I put foaming hand soap in the dishwasher (kind of by accident)...and it foamed. There was a bunch of bubbles all over the dishwasher area of the kitchen. My mom was pretty mad.

GeorgieXOXO, I'm a huge Gaither Vocal Band fan, and I've been listening to their Christmas CD a ton this week. One of my favorite songs is "O Holy Night." It's beautiful.

I am a fan of the Gaithers too! I don't have their Christmas CD, but I listen to it on Youtube sometimes!

Lady Lucy, my favorite of the DK Chronicles is Dragonquest. I really love the characters and interaction in that one, Bardon, Regidor, and Toopka especially. What do you like about Dragonspell and Dragonquest?

Same here! I think I've heard most of Much Ado About Nothing, but I haven't listened to the others on your list (except for Prince Caspian, of course). Have you ever listened to anything by Two Steps From Hell? They're a band/group that does soundtrack-style music, and there's some really beautiful pieces on Youtube.

Every time a new season comes around it almost always becomes my "favorite". Each and every one is so beautiful and special in its own unique way, and I love them all.

Greenleaf, Tim Tebow actually had a concussion from a pretty scary hit to the head. He's been playing, so the injury didn't have a lasting effect, but I'm not sure what it will do to his Heisman numbers.

Yes and no. I'm really excited for the holidays, as always, but this year has gone by so crazily fast that Christmas getting close hasn't quite registered yet.

I actually don't remember too much about the 2007 Elizabeth. Didn't she look quite a bit older though? I do think it's interesting that both adaptations have done a good job with Mary (who seems to be a much harder character to play), but they apparently can't figure out Elizabeth.

Ahh---catchup.

I have discovered that by sleeping in and getting up late it really throws off one's schedules! Ah well. I got most of what I needed to get done today, and to boot was able to spend some time with my horse, which was nice.

Ah yes--the last time I slept in was a few weeks ago-almost two months actually-and I slept in about 3 hours. I was sick. It was really nice, but it felt rather odd the rest of the day.
Oh, fun. Yes, our pets get somewhat neglected as well. They don't seem to mind too much though--I guess they're used to it.
Anyway, I'm glad you've been doing well, and it was a lot of fun doing the word war with you today!!

Speaking of violin, I've been really troubled lately trying to decide whether or not to quit violin.
The practicing is almost too much with all my schoolwork, and I'm constantly exhausted. I don't feel like I'm improving at all, and... *shrug* I just don't know what to do.

Oh, thank you. I'm about 16K into it, and haven't gotten to the main part in my plot... I don't know if that's a good thing--but it seems like it since I still have a lot ahead of me that I know I can write. In other words, I'm not stuck yet.

Yep I play football, Tackle and Nosegaurd. Its pretty fun, I only weigh 111 though! So I have a huge disadvantage to the other guys who weigh 120, 130 and beyond. I can still hold my own against the bigest guy on our team; 149.9... The most you could weigh was 150

malkah, I know what you mean. This year has gone by so fast. Thanksgiving is coming up soon too.
We've seen bears...let's see, two other times. Once, back in August, about a half mile from our house, we were driving home and we saw a small bear in the woods near the road. Then, less than a month ago, we were driving home from Wednesday Night Church and we saw a bear messing around in the garbage can at our neighbor's house. I think it was most exciting when we saw it in the woods while we were biking, though, just a couple days ago. That was the closest I've been to a bear.

Bears...it's been a few years since I've seen one, and that was pretty close (it visited our campsite in the Boundary Waters). I also saw a bear run across the Interstate once, many years ago. And now, very close to that same spot, there's an establishment called...Black Bear Casino. As humor writer Dave Berry might say: Really! I'm not making this up.

Did someone mention dentist appointments? I have one in just a few hours. I'd originally scheduled it for last week (months ago) but then something came up and I moved it to this week. Then a friend got sick and the other meeting had to be moved to later this week...

This month is proving to be a lot warmer than October was. Today will be the 4th straight day in the 60s - more than we had all last month. But we may get some snow by this weekend.

NN95: Ah, I know what you mean... For me, if I didn't wear my retainer, after an hour or so my mouth would feel kinda...almost empty, and then I'd wonder what was wrong, and then I'd realize I didn't have my retainer in my mouth.
Yeah, the bear cub was really cute! We looked around for the mother, but we didn't see it nearby at all...

Ahaha, well, I'm used to not having a retainer, so I feel funny if it's in my mouth, not if it's out.

That would be frustrating at times- our library has a rather small movie collection (not to mention, some time ago they got rid of many of their VHS copies of movies, so of the good ones they had there, most of them are gone now...), and most of them are all adult movies, which of course we don't even look at. They do have a few good ones- I saw they had Amazing Grace there, and one or two other family ones, but all in all there isn't many. Well, last I checked. We don't really go to our library anymore, although I suppose we should. Just to support them and all. ^_^

Our library has random movies that nobody's ever heard of. Also, it's open very little during the week because it's not getting enough money. Yeah, we don't go there very often anymore, either.
