Hey Riley!!! :D Welcome, welcome! This is pretty much a topic for chatting and talking--though the posts need at least some substance. ;)) But you can talk about anything within forum rules. :) (It's a blast.) ;)

Anyways. NaNo, NaNo, here I come again... :p

Thank for for the welcome, Princess Anna, Narnia Girl, Fanny, and Queen Su! I feel loved. :)

Out of curiousity, NN95, what does the line 'Don't be a PPWDKWTM!' in your sig stand for?

Ditto, Susan! I keep putting off starting to write, but now I remember that there's the challenge... So I bid you all a fond Morter'eve, and I shall hopefully return when I've crossed the threshold of at least 8k words...

Mortereve everyone! Hope you're all doing splendidly! :)

Time to tackle a ketchup!

*feels rather bad about the damage caused by her snowball* ;)) Mel, I'm so sorry! Next time I'll check who's standing nearby before I throw one. :p

I went looking for the Josh Groban/Placido Domingo collaboration. I don't believe I had heard it before. It was awesome, though.

I'm so glad you liked it! :D I hope they sing together more in the future; their voices blend perfectly. :) Hmm, I've actually been listening to Josh Groban much more than normal lately as writing music for NaNo. His voice just seems to fit with my novel. ;)

Destined
, do you have a favorite Merlin episode? :)

I really liked the part in Dragonquest when Kale met Bardon for the first time. :D

I know I'm probably due for a reread, but I can't seem to remember that part. :- Could you remind me? All I can remember is Kale and Dar meeting Toopka and Bardon being assigned to accompany them. /:)

I also love all the scenes with the minor dragons, too. They're so cute!!

Which dragon is your favorite? ;)

Narnian at Heart (is it alright if I call you Jojo? :) ), this is late, but congrats on the one-year anniversary! How have you been doing lately? :)

the motion adjustment (or whatever you called it)

Is that the actual term? I have no idea. :p Whatever it's called, it sounds like you have a good one. ;))

Thanks for posting your pics! :) Now I'm really impressed with your zoom. :p It looks as though you were sitting right on the sidelines!

I always root for any team playing against the Pats and Trojans.

Ouch. ;)) Is there any particular reason you dislike those teams?

I think I've finally picked my Pro team--the Cardinals.

That's a good choice! They're a fun team to watch. :) What made you choose them?

I like Tim Tebow because of the way he uses his spotlight as a platform to glorify God. His humility and grace in competition are really refreshing, especially compared to too many other players in college and pro football. I also think it's neat that he's a fellow homeschooler and missionary kid. :) Why do you like him? ;)

My favorite character was probably John Thornton. That was his name, right? It's been a while since I've seen it but I mean the guy Richard Armitage played.

Thornton was probably my favorite character too. :) I loved how much emotion he was able to express behind the stern, reserved front. Margaret's a lovely character as well ;) .

I hope you can find the book! I'd love to hear what you think of it if you do read it! :)

Tartan is lovely. It is really neat, but it's also sad if you don't belong to a Scottish clan.

I'm a full-blooded Scot on my mom's side, so apparently we do have a clan tartan. I don't know how strongly anyone holds to that nowadays, though. So what was your favorite thing about living in Scotland? :)

How interesting that you don't like her yellow dress, Malkah! Is it because it is yellow or because you just don't like the style?

Hmm, that's a good question and I don't really know the answer. ;)) The color's not my favorite (especially the yellow gloves) but it could be worse. ;) I think the style is just a bit too...flouncy for me. I think that's it. There's too much of the dress and it looks rather out of proportion, compared to Belle's head, for example. [/ramble]

"usual love-at-first-sigh cliche"

I know you didn't mean to write it like that, but this made me laugh and fits perfectly! The saying really should be love-at-first-sigh. ;))

Isn't that how most relationships turn into anyways? I hardly know of anyone who fell in love at first sight...;))

I would say that anything "at first sight" is not truly love, merely attraction, although it certainly can develop into love later on. As for real life, I don't know which kind of relationship is more common. I prefer the close-friendship-turning-into-love stories; they just have an extra richness and depth to them. :)

Snow?? Can you send some up our way? :D (if you still have it, of course.

I have a good two feet of it and more. ;)) It's just lying around at present, so I'd be happy to share! I'll pack some into a freezer truck and send it your way. ;)

Re: Persuasion: I agree about Lady Dalrymple and her daughter; they seemed like too much of a caricature rather than the still ridiculous, but much more subtly funny characters Austen wrote. The only other thing I don't like about the adaptation is the portrayal of Elizabeth. I didn't think she really resembled the Elizabeth of the book; too irrational and almost too spiteful, although she is certainly meant to be catty. It just felt odd. ;)

Lady Lucy
, I don't think we've met! *waves* Your new kittens are adorable! :)

*waves to PELS* How're you doing? :)

MissA, yay for 2000 subscribers! That's awesome!

NG, did you ever read Eragon? I seem to remember you getting it from the library.

*Gets box, and starts making snowballs*

Just make sure QS and Mel aren't standing behind you when you throw them. ;))

I didn't think Square Peas actually existed. (Except for myself, of course.) :p Now I want to grow some! ;))

Djaq, I'm so glad to hear your dad got a job! And how exciting that your sister's having twins! :D

Is there one in particular that you recommend?

1995 all the way! :D I think it has the better Anne, better Wentworth, and just better script and production values overall. I don't know if you're a costume person, but the 1995 version has some of my favorite period costumes in any adaptation. :)

I'd really like to see one of the film adaptions, too. :) Actually, I might just go ahead and buy the '95 one and trust I'll like it. :P

*points to paragraph above* ;)

I'll be interested to hear what you both think of the adaptation! :)

*waves to NN95*
I just noticed that the top of your posts have a post number on them instead of the "Re: Town Square" heading. Did you change that?

I think that Edward is better in this one too, but people aren't agreeing with me...

I don't really like the '95 Edward. ;)) Or rather, I like him, but he's not very believable as a love interest for anyone, especially Elinor. ;) Did you see Edward in the newest adaptation?

Riley, so glad to see you in the Square! Welcome! :) How's NaNo going for you?

Hopefully I'll be in later; have a beautiful day everyone!

Ooh, I like that song. :D How's NaNo going for you? I have 4,918 words or so. Almost 5,000. :D I hope to get in another 1-2,000 today. :p
But other then NaNo I need to do math, practice piano, bake something, and it wouldn't hurt to sew or knit or reply to 3 letters or something. :( I have a feeling that I'll only get piano, math and possibly baking done though. ;))

Hm, not too much. You have to cut out the really bad spots in the apples, but you can leave the skin and cores on. Then you run them through a grinder, then press them flat so all the juice runs out into buckets... and then you pour the buckets into a bigger container and fill jugs from that one. ;)) ...you use various different types of apples... and it takes some time of course. And LOTS of apples. But it's pretty fun--at least, once a year. ;)) Any more then that would be... too much. ;))

Wow, that does sound like a lot of work, but fun too (especially since you get to drink home-made apple cider at the end of it all :D) I get it about being too much too, some things are only meant to happen once or twice a year but when they do happen they're great :D (It kinda reminds me of something I vaguely understood in "Perelandra...")

Or at least Halt hoped the king would forgive him. I do like the resolution of that particular plot thread, though it's probably my least favourite Princess Cassandra moment. :| Her reaction then is just...awkward. Or too forced.

You mean when Halt came back? I agree. I also didn't really like her trying to get a position for Will at the castle. It just kind of bugged me and seemed a bit selfish.

Hiya, greenleaf! How are you doing?

I'm doing great, thanks! How are you?

greenleaf: Well, I'm finished with The Icebound Land now, and I really enjoyed it. :D I was kinda shocked with how the warmweed effected Will, though, like when he was traveling with Evanlyn. He just seemed so...out of it. It was kinda scary seeing Will like that. :-o

Cool :P I know, that surprised me too, I felt really bad for him. I always expected him to be good ol' Will, but it kind of threw me off my guard when that happened. It was cool that

Spoiler
The Skandian who's name I can't remember helped him though, I was really glad that happened :D

Hi Jojo! Great to see you again, how's it going? Conga-rats on your first anniversary!

Awesome, glad you like 'em! Who's your favorite character?

Got a little over-enthusiastic with the quotes, there? ;)
Can you find the episodes on youtube? People usually upload them...

Haha, yeah. An absence in the Square made me a little rusty with the BBCodes :P
Yep, I'm gonna do that soon. I can't wait to see them :D I've also been told I have to watch "Chuck" when the new season comes out this Winter. Have you heard of it?

@ GreenLeaf. I'm doing very well, thanks. And yourself?

I'm doing great, thanks :D I love the quote in your siggie! I just recently saw TDK and really liked it (although it was a little disturbing in parts...) and that was one of the quotes that stuck out to me. The ending scene was really good.

I will have to look for the DVD in the store then, Greenleaf!

I know, I'm super excited for it to come out :D

*waves to Faun Song, Princess Anna, and NN95* :)

Haha, cute! Although, I don't know if I'd want one. I haven't listened to enough Hawk Nelson to say they are my BFF...and stuff. ;) Do tell me if you get to hear that particular album and what you think of it please! :)

Yeah, the first time I heard them was at that concert so I couldn't say they were my BFFs either :P I definitely will, it sounds cool! I also got an iTunes gift card for my birthday today and was planning on using it for their new album "Live Life Loud" :D

Hey everybody! This will be my third day of having the flue... And my first contact with the outside world beside's a trip to the doctors...
Well we lost the championship... 30-22 :( oh well... Its not the end of the world and we finish the season 9-1...

Ugh, hope your feeling better. I've been lucky enough to avoid the sickness everyone's been getting (at least so far ;) ) Even though it's kinda late I'll be a copycat and send moccasins too, they're the best :D (I wear mine constantly in winter)
Aw, that stinks :( pretty close too.

Hi Cep! Glad your Mom's ok, that can be pretty scary.

Well, the last two days I've been feeling rather under the weather. :(

But in regards to wallie making, it's been going great the last several days! Just since the 1st, I've finished three TNG ones... and started another.

Mortereve all! I hope everyone is doing well this evening? It's hard to believe it's already November! :-o This year seems to have gone by rather fast....

*Cor and Vern sit down at the fountain*

Well, I was able to buy the soundtrack to Batman Begins on Monday. :D We went to our local FYE store and I stumbled across it in the CD section for $14.99. *is very happy with this catch*

*Yep, and you haven't stopped talking about it or listening to it since....*

It's a new CD. What can I say?

*A lot.*

Well, anyway, on to making a ketchup post!

---------------------------------

@ Malkah. Hmm, something makes me think you did just copy what I had said.... ;) *kidding* Well, among other things: Lawrence of Arabia, Nosferatu, The Quiet Man, Empire Strikes Back, Gaslight, Psycho and the Wind and the Lion. Most of those I've already seen, but Lawrence, Gaslight, Psycho and Nosferatu were new. :)

@ Fauny. I also consider those to be "classics". West Side Story was O.K, but it just came across as goofy when the gangs would break-out into song. :p

*waves to here-one-minute-gone-the-next Anna* Major congrats on the new laptop!!! :D

@ NN. Hmm, school usually takes about 4 hours. Start at about 11:30 or so and get through at about 3:30-ish.

@ Fanny. Glad you are doing well. :) New and exciting? Well, I spent the majority of last weekend with my grandmother, I got to see Gaslight and Psycho over the weekend and of course, on Monday I got the soundtrack to Batman Begins. :D

@ Pels. long time, no see! Glad you're doing well and do try to stop by more if you can! :)

@ Princess. Glad to be of service. :) I usually just lurk around that thread to see what people are discussing. It's always an interesting read.

[Ah, I see.] <---- that was short.....

@ Djaq. *waves back* I've been doing well, busy, but well. How are you and Flam doing these days?

@ RileyTea. Greetings and welcome to the Square!! :D Ooh, hot chocolate and cookies?! Yay! *partakes of some of these treats* Thanks for bringing those!

You seem to be fitting in just fine. :)

@ Greenleaf. First off: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! :D/ :D

Great! Glad to hear you're doing well. Thanks! It's one of my favorite lines from the movie. It makes the ending all the more potent. I watched TDK on DVD and mostly skipped around to certain scenes that I wanted to watch. :p The film is definitely a great movie, but it's just a little too dark and disturbing for my tastes. :|

--------------------------

Alright, that's all the catching-up for me this evening! I hope everyone has a wonderful night!

*waves back to NG* I think most of us are doing NaNoWriMo and spending our time writing stuff in our novels so we can have high word counts. ;))

Don't be shy, we don't bite. Well, most of us don't. Can't be sure about others. ;))

I don't bite, but I've snuck up behind people at least twice in this square and said... BOO! :p

*greets RileyTea enthusiastically, though it could be debated that she is more interested in the refreshments* I hope there's some left... Er, I mean, welcome to the Square! :D

Malkah, if your novel is anything like Josh Groban's voice, it must be pretty amazing. B-) I admit that I, too, have been listening to Groban more than usual, but that's not hard. ;))

1995 all the way! :D

I believe that is what lys and FF told me when I was wondering about Persuasion adaptions... I still haven't seen it yet. Maybe for my birthday...

Greenleaf, yeah, I mean at the end of Oakleaf Bearers Battle for Skandia. Laughing like that in public... *shakes head* I agree that her wanting Will at the castle was selfish, but understandable. And it's your birthday today? Many happy returns of the day! :D

Greetings, SquareOnions! :)

I've not been in the Town Square much lately; now I'll use NaNo as an excuse (11,100 words and counting!). I've not done it before but am having fun writing it. There sure are a lot of NarniaWebbers participating this year.

I'm taking a break from NaNo writing to visit the forum and watch the World Series. It looks like the Yankees are well on their way to winning.

If your sky is clear and it's nighttime where you are, step outside and check out the Moon - here in the middle of North America it's quite pretty as it rises through the eastern sky.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
