You just read Persuasion, Djaq? How cool, I just finished it a few days ago for the first time!
I'd really like to see one of the film adaptions, too. Actually, I might just go ahead and buy the '95 one and trust I'll like it.
(I'm sure I will since I thought it was such a lovely story) I didn't know there was a 2007 version.
It's so good to hear your dad got a job!!!
Only 1,660 words, QS? Don't fear, that's about all I have, too. I'll have to write a bunch tonight.
I shall buddy you, if you don't mind.

Good mortereve again!
I'm back for a second post today!
DJ: You're in NaNo too?? Awesomeness.
Yep! What is your name over there? I can buddy you. (Mine is Djaq. Original, eh?
)
Hm. I've been well. Some days are better then others. And some mornings are better then the afternoons, or the other way around, but really, Life is good...
(That's my... life phrase.
Though sometimes it's hard to believe.) But my life is pretty good.
Not tons going on lately... Not much this week either, though we might go to my Grandparents this weekend.
That sounds about the same as mine. I'm glad that life is good for you overall.
Ooh, have fun if you go to your grandparents!
1,660 words is nothing to sneeze at! (*achoo* Heh heh. . . ) I'm not making a whole lot of progress, but I like my book and my characters so far.
You just read Persuasion, Djaq? How cool, I just finished it a few days ago for the first time!
Yes, I did! I really enjoyed it! It was my first time too. What did you think of it?

We'll have to tell each other when we've seen at least one of the adaptations, k?
Yeah, I've heard a lot of good reviews of the '95 one, so I might get that one first.
It's so good to hear your dad got a job!!!

Thank you!!!
So, you're doing NaNo too? Yay! What is your name there?
Well, I'm off to write!

My third post in here today. A real record.
Yes, I did! I really enjoyed it! It was my first time too. What did you think of it?
I loved it! I thought the first few chapters were a little slow, but after that I really, really enjoyed it.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of good reviews of the '95 one, so I might get that one first.
Alright! It's always fun to compare opinions.
My name on Nano is MistyDawn.
@poggin: MistyDawn? Ok, I'll go add you. I'm "Lianna Merie"
@DJ: Same to you, my name there is "Lianna Merie", so I'll go add you and poggin now.
Wow, there's so many N-webbers doing NaNo! I can't even remember all the ones who are doing it!!

I'm doing NaNo as well. Username: missdelaney. I'm having a blast.
Tonight at my rehearsal for the musical I'm in we practiced partner dancing. *groan* I wish teenagers would just... not act like teenagers. The director actually had to yell at us. He said, "Come on, would you all just grow up and pick a partner? It doesn't mean you're going steady, it means you're dancing with them for five minutes!" So instead of the males choosing and asking a girl to dance, we girls have to walk over to them and say firmly, "Will you dance with me?" Sometimes, when they are of the more annoying and lazy sort, I just have to point meaningfully at them, then point back at myself with a bossy look on my face. And they just nod with their mouths hanging open. It makes me feel like a... feminist.
Hehe, the director had all the partnerless boys raise their hands so the girls could find them. One of them was singing "Somebody to Love" in a falsetto voice. *shivers* Theater guys... they scare me sometimes.
No offense intended if any present consider themselves "theater guys." Some of them are awesome.
Ok, rant over.
Poggy - Nice to see you too! Persuasion is now the only Jane Austen book I haven't re-read yet. It's also the only one I haven't re-read this year, so I need to get that from the library. I have fond memories of that book... I was reading it on the night when my baby sister was born... (And I was reading Les Miserables the day my other sister had her soccer playoffs, and I was reading Jane Eyre when my dad bought one of his cars and I was reading The Inheritance by Louisa May Alcott when we had a tea party at my house and - ok, I'll stop now. Hehehe.)

Pon, hope you feel better soon!
You're welcome, eusy!
Yeah, it was just a normal check-up appointment, NN95. I forgot to mention that. But it was still plenty painful.
FF, we went on a bike ride with our friends back on Saturday. We had a great time, but after two hours it began to drizzle a little bit, so we had to leave. It was still lots of fun though.
Ah okay, I see, poggy. Well, Dragon's Milk is a good book. Hope you enjoy it when you get around to reading it.
Djaq, that's fantabulous that your dad got a job!! I'm so happy for you!
And that's so wonderful that your sister's going to have twins! How exciting!
Piano lessons went well yesterday. I'm working on a song called "Child Forgiven" by the Gaither Vocal Band. Volleyball went well too. Today my sister and I are starting tennis lessons. I'm slightly nervous about it, as I don't know a thing about tennis...it'll probably be lots of fun though.

F2, sure, I'd be glad to let you know when we get Season 3.
Oh good, thanks!
Perhaps if we find it somewhere that we can borrow it (over buying it, I think we'd probably be better borrowing it from someone on DVD, that way even if we skip parts/have it previewed and don't like it we haven't spent $$ on it. We've done that before. I wonder if they have it at the library. Anyways. I would agree- language is much harder to skip (even in books), because you don't know when it's going to pop up.
We rarely buy new movies—we almost always rent them, even if they're perfectly good. But, yes, borrowing it from a friend or the library would be even better than renting because it doesn't cost any money. All of the libraries around here have a poor selection of movies, and certainly no new ones! Anyway, yes, it is hard to skip language...
Yay, it's Djaq!!!
And yay for dad getting a job and that your sister is going to have twins.
Well, we had a few entries, so it went pretty well.

You did have a few entries? Huh, I had subscribed to that thread and I didn't get any notifications that anybody had posted anything. Oh well, I'll have to check those out.
Isn't that the point?
Ben and Riley both have long monologues, but I'm up for it if you are.
Do we want to start when they're talking on the stairs of the Lincoln monument?
"This is huge. Prison huge. You are going to go to prison, you know that, right?"
Sound good?![]()
It's not the point if I get all the long lines like last time... Sure, that sounds good.
"Yeah, probably." Whee, off to a short start.
Yeah, we've been doing really good lately!
"That was a college level analysis." Freaky Friday.
Yep.
"Don't feel bad. You did good." NT2.
I started wearing mine only at night after about two weeks or so. (not because my orthodontist told me to though, I just did it
)
Tsk, tsk, shame on you. What did your ortho have to say at your next appointment?
"Well, if you like, we can come back in a few years."

"No! No, that's alright. You're just… you're not exactly what I expected."
Yeah, it was just a normal check-up appointment, NN95. I forgot to mention that.
But it was still plenty painful.
Ok, I figured it was. Why was a normal check-up so painful?

Faun Song: Haha. I feel rather sorry for those boys actually.
Did you know the group very well? Or were they mostly strangers? I think it'd be easier with friends/people you knew... Or something. I've never ever ever danced with a guy before. Only girls.

To answer the question that I believe several people asked... I'm doing well. In fact, I'm rather proud of myself. I fixed a broken CD drive at work today. It wasn't showing up on the list of hardware and now it does. (My dad and Google helped, but it's fixed and the computer didn't blow up. )
Awwww, that sounds like an interesting game, Pebbles. I don't think I'd get the ball in the basket though, so I wouldn't get a prize either.
FF, saying that you liked the older P&P better isn't a dangerous thing to say around me since I like it very much. We also watched all of the BBC version of S&S from the same era Sunday, and the family is debating which is a better adaption, that one or the '95 one. We agree that '95 has a better Brandon, but that Willoughby is better in this one. And they included the scene where Willoughby shows up while Marianne is sick! I was very disappointed that that was cut in the other one. (I think that Edward is better in this one too, but people aren't agreeing with me...) And I am amazed at your NaNoWriMo word count. Again.
How do you do it?!
I'm glad you agree, since everyone seems to like Firth the best.

I honestly cannot see why.
Djaq! That's wonderful news about your dad and your sister! I'm glad there was more than one entry too. I still think mine is pretty lame, though I am very fond of it, and it was an excellent warm up for NaNo.

*peeps round the corner and tiptoes in* Hi everyone! I'm taking a short break from writing NaNo to get some refreshments, and decided to take the plunge and come in. (even though I don't quite understand what to do...) But I brought cookies and hot chocolate to share! Hopefully that makes it better, right?

Thanks for the 'welcome back', everyone!
It feels lovely to have been missed that much. I mean, I hate not being around. But the fact that you wonder about me and are so overjoyed to see me return makes me feel all nice inside.
Hey there, Anna!! Great to have you stop by!!

Oh, don't act like it's been forever. I talk to you nearly every day on YIM!
Welcome to the Square, RileyTea!
Don't be shy, we don't bite. Well, most of us don't. Can't be sure about others. Yes! Hot chocolate and cookies are always nice! Thanks for bringing them! What we do here, is just talk. You can either jump into a current conversation (there are usually several going at once), or start a new one.
Good luck to all of those doing NaNo!! No, I haven't decided to do it this year. Some are disappointed, *coughalyoshacough* but I promise to try one of these years. (If I ever get a good enough idea)
I don't know if you noticed, but I finished and unveiled my photobucket on Halloween! If you want to see it, click on the link in my sig.
At any rate, there. I've stopped by again. But, I should really get to bed. I haven't been feeling well today (not to mention my sleeping pattern has been majorly messed up for weeks). So, sleep should do me good. I'll try to pop in again sometime soon!
*skips into the Square, munching on a Pop-Tart* Pop-Tarts are so good. Just had one for breakfast.

NN95, the check-up was painful because they use those tools or whatever they are to look at your teeth, which kinda hurts me (I'm probably just a sissy though lol). I don't know. It always hurt my teeth a little bit, though.
*waves to Mel*
RileyTea! Howdy, and welcome to the Square! It's great to have you! Indeed, cookies and hot chocolate are delicious!! *takes a bite of a cookie and a sip of hot chocolate* Yum.
PA! Glad you stopped by again!
How have you been?
Wow, guys, the Square was really slow yesterday. I'm surprised. It's not even a weekend.
Anyway, yesterday our mom took us to the new movie theater near us and we got to see the movie Astro Boy.
It was really, really good. (Of course I say that about most movies I ever see, but seriously, Astro Boy was awesome.) And, of course, yesterday evening, my sister and I had our first tennis classes. All I can say is that tennis is harder than it looks. I mean, it looks like you just walk up and hit the ball. But when you hit it, it always goes crooked, or something like that... Anyway, I reallly did enjoy tennis. I think I just need to practice some this week before our next class.

Yeah, now that I think about it, you're right. They do a lot poking around in your mouth checking on different things and it can be quite painful.
Wow, that was short. There was so little to catch up on. *waves to those whom he did not address*
