Hello, NG and Mel! How art you two?
NG, there is one little boy who is a kinda of a brat, but he is so cute! He's also a bit autistic, which makes me love him even more. Sometimes he looks at you in complete confusion, and sometimes his words are a bit slurred. But he has the sweetest little sparkle in his eyes. Er, sorry for the ramble.
Mel, there was a square of tape on the wall and you were supposed to throw small a ball at the circle. There was also a basket on the ground, where you were supposed to somehow manage to get the ball to bounce in the basket. The little kid that I said tried to take over, threw one of the balls, and the ball decided to bounce out of the basket. He looked at me and yelled, "That's not fair, it bounced out!" I just shrugged and looked away.
See y'all!

Syd: Haha, interesting piano story.
Anyways. I'm wondering a tad bit why I decided to do NaNoWriMo. Hm.
I don't know how much I'll be around the square if I'm doing that a lot... We shall see I guess.

Mortereve everyone! Hope your Sundays have gone well!
Due for a ketchup, I know, but it may or may not be coming tonight. As I watched football and took a nap this afternoon instead of writing, my NaNo word count is in need of some attention.
*cheers Queen Susan on* I'm sure your novel is not pathetic at all.
And I know how you feel about starting; I think today might be the hardest day of the whole month.
See you all later!

*trudges into the Square, sighing* The weekend's over, today's another day of school. Man, I'm being really grumpy. *tries to cheer up*
Yay for short ketchups. The Square is utterly slow on weekends.
*waves back to Mel* How are you doing?
Rambling is fine, Pebbles. I tend to ramble myself at times. Oh, I know what you mean. Some little kids are so cute. There's this little girl at our church who always comes up to me and gives me a hug. She's so sweet.
QS, aw, I'm sure your novel isn't pathetic at all.
Looking forward to your ketchup, malkah! And good luck on NaNoWriMo!

2,000 subscribers, MA? That's awesome!
Ketchup's done... Anyway, today we're going to the library (yay!). And I have piano lessons and volleyball as well. Oh, and I finally finished The Sorcerer of the North from Ranger's Apprentice. It's so awesome! But I'm dying to know what happens to Alyss! And our library doesn't have the next book, The Siege of Macindaw! *groans* I hate cliff-hangers...

Mortereve all!
It has not been a good morning for me. I woke up way too early, because of the time change yesterday. And also I am being plagued with a cold/flu...not sure which yet, but so far I have not had a loss of appetite. But enough of my troubles.
Thank you, QS, for the hug. I really needed it.
My dear brother Prince Cor, I love being able to count on you making me laugh. I really needed that this morning. I'll check out the Twu Wuv thread, ww has helped me with her wonderful advice before.
[I've never had a boyfriend either, so that's why I'm a little uncertain as so how I should act and so forth...]
Well, since it looks like a lot of folks on NarniaWeb are going to be doing NaNoWritMo, things probably will be slowing down a bit... I have decided that, while I'm not doing NaNo, I will be trying to concentrate on writing a lot on my novel. So I'll be around the Square even more less often than I am already.

It is definitely nice to be back!
![]()
Well it's good to have you back!
Aye, that's true. It is a nice feeling to get done all the "catch up", isn't it? I feel like that sometimes when I have several e-mails, PMs, and blog comments that have been waiting for several days, and when I get them all done (usually in one fell swoop) it's nice to not have anything else "hanging over my head"...for another day or two. Oh well. I haven't regretted the many friends and acquaintances I've met online, so it's worth it.
![]()
Oh yes, I can totally relate to that. And you're right, it does seem that when you can finally do everything, it's all at once.
Ah, okay thanks!
Perhaps I'll get my Dad to preview it at some point and see what he thinks- we started watching Season 3 last night and there was an episode that we skipped as well, something to do with a seance and contacting a supposedly dead agent, so maybe he can watch both and see. Sometimes things sound quite a bit worse then they actually are, although of course like you said it's always better to be on the safe side.
That's neat that you guys have already started into Season 3. Hopefully we can get that soon. Anyway, back to that episode in Season 2... you really wouldn't miss much if you never watched. You're right, some things do seem worse than they are, but, yes, staying on the safe side is always best.
I have heard about the movie- funny, because I saw an interview/article about the Get Smart movie in a magazine shortly before Prince Caspian came out in theatres, and so it was through reading about the movie that we ever got to watch the show. (And of course Dad's memories of it). I haven't seen the movie yet- I wasn't sure about it. Possibly due to the rating and some of the things I've read about the content that weren't that great. I wonder if it would be possibly eventually to see it with all those questionable/objectionable parts skipped, and if it'd be worth it in the end.
Oh, that's interesting! I'd say the worst thing about the movie is the language, which is harder to skip than an inappropriate scene. Anyway, it was a fun movie to watch.
I know you were talking to Edmund P, but I just wanted to say that I prefer Lewis' style myself as well. Every time I read LotR it does get easier to be able to enjoy it, but I found even the second or third time I read it that there was so much information at times it felt swamping. And too, I couldn't read it for long periods, because I'd start getting distracted, and I found you pretty much have to be paying attention 100% to the narrative or else you'd miss important sections. So, while it was good and whatnot, I prefer Lewis' simple and sometimes uncluttered style of writing.

I very much agree with all of that.
Thanks, NN95. The dentist appointment actually wasn't too bad...apparently I have a left cross-bite or something, but the dentist told me that that will be fixed when I get braces again.
Ah, I see. So, other than that, it was just a normal cleaning/check-up sort of thing?
It was the first major fight of the schoolyear, NN95 which is pretty impressive considering I go to one of the largest High Schools in the state. They told us at the beginning of the year that if there were fights they would cut back our lunch time, so I really hope they don't cut it back too much. And it's very unfortunate, I hear that someone is in a neck brace now...Fighting is really horrible ):
Aw, that's really a shame to hear. Wow, that seems like an odd way to punish a fight! I hope they don't take away too much of your lunch break!
Wellll, see you all another month!
Nooo, don't spend that much time away!
Aww, Joe, sorry you lost the championship! Anyway, 9-1 is a great season!

Good Mortereve everyone! I hope everyone has been having a good day- I have been. Got some outside work done (especially one of our projects that has been waiting for us for some time, and that feels good to get done). Last evening we were out to supper at a friend's house, and that was a really good evening. I was actually quite excited about it, which I can't figure out since while I don't dread going out for meals, I've never been excited about it before. Ah well, always room for progress!
And now for catch up.
Queen Susan: How did your Reformation Day celebrations go? It sounds like a very neat thing to celebrate- (if I haven't said that already) so next year I'll have to plan for it.
Happy Birthday to your brother! Was his birthday yesterday or today?
Nope, she's not. But she does like to jump up, sit down, be annoying, leave come back and repeat the process so I wouldn't be surprised if she shows up sometime while I'm writing this post.
Aww!
Sooo....how are things with you? I like your avatar, by the way! My sister and I watched that version of P&P earlier this year, and I must say I really liked it. I'm not 100% sure about Mr. Darcy- he wasn't bad but I think that upon further rewatches I'll be more okay with him.
I think I liked that version better then the 1995 one, which is probably, eh, a dangerous thing to say?
Lady Lucy: Your new kittens are cute! I hope they are settling in fine and dandy!
Narnia Girl: Ah, okay thank you! Perhaps I'll check out the Ranger's Apprentice series then!
How are things with you? Anything new and exciting?
Fauntastic: There was a fight at your school? Oh dear! That's really sad about someone getting hurt- I hope that person isn't too badly injured.
Ah, hehe, yes! It gives me an odd feeling to look back on things I wrote or pictures I drew years ago, and know that that was actually *me* back then, not some other child who did them.
That's good to hear- that you are enjoying them. It can really boost one's confidence, I think, to be able to not only take on challenges, but take on challenges by our own choice, and conquer them. I know that it will give confidence doing challenges that come our way and are sent by life (Well, God, I guess), but to be able to choose to take on that challenge and then conquer it is something else, I believe.
*does hope that makes sense*
*waves to Pebbles*

Thanks! I hope you are able to get it soon- we're only two or three episodes in but so far they have been great!
Will you let me know if/when you are able to get it, and what you think? Thanks!
That's neat that you guys have already started into Season 3. I'd say the worst thing about the movie is the language, which is harder to skip than an inappropriate scene. Anyway, it was a fun movie to watch.
Oh good, thanks! Perhaps if we find it somewhere that we can borrow it (over buying it, I think we'd probably be better borrowing it from someone on DVD, that way even if we skip parts/have it previewed and don't like it we haven't spent $$ on it. We've done that before. I wonder if they have it at the library. Anyways. I would agree- language is much harder to skip (even in books), because you don't know when it's going to pop up.
That's neat that you guys have already started into Season 3. I very much agree with all of that.
Ah good. I'm glad it made sense and whatnot.

Well.... I should be off. I hope to be able to keep up with the Square here during NaNo (last year I stayed away for the whole month, but because it's my second year I know pretty much what to expect and know I can still fit it in. ) Cheers all!

*cheers Queen Susan on* I'm sure your novel is not pathetic at all. And I know how you feel about starting; I think today might be the hardest day of the whole month.
Well, I'm happier now. I actually have over 1,100 words. And it was fairly easy, I just have to work at it...
Kat: Yay for the 2,000! You deserve them!!
I never had a boyfriend either! Welcome to the club!
*laugh* Me neither. Thankfully.
How did your Reformation Day celebrations go? It sounds like a very neat thing to celebrate- (if I haven't said that already) so next year I'll have to plan for it.
Happy Birthday to your brother! Was his birthday yesterday or today?
My brother's birthday was yesterday. I'm not sure if he's registered on the new N-web, but he used to be General Lee on the old one...
The Ref. day celebration went very well!! It was a lot of fun.
How have you been? What's new?
I have to go help my Mom with some things now... I have around 1,660 words in NaNo.

My internet hasn't been working for about a week now (it's working now, but I'm not sure how long it will stay that way). Hopefully my dad will fix it soon.
And I'm doing NaNoWriMo, and just slightly freaking out about it. I'm afraid writer's block will visit soon. It's really fun though, and it's great to see so many Nwebbers doing it, too! I've seen some really interesting plots from you guys!
Aww, Poggy, I hope your cold vamooses soon!
Aww, that's very kind of you. My cold did vamoose.
Mm, no, it wasn't Lord of the Dance. It was just called Simple Gifts. I believe it's a Quaker hymn.
By all means tell him I enjoyed it!
Yes, Dragon's Milk was very good, poggy! I love dragons. Have you read it? If not, then you should.

No, I haven't read it yet. It's on my long list of books to read, though.
Lor! How good to see you in the Square!
Heh, Poggy, our computer quit working, too, but we continued to use it.
Maybe that's why it went so crazy at the end....
Ooh. It went crazy? How so? Beautiful avatar, by the way.
I loved that song by Kutless! Thank you for sharing.
Aww, you're missing out!

You found a real Square Pea! I was looking for one on the internet. You're quite right, I don't think they would bounce very well at all.
Miss Jo! You've been very missed!
*Enjoys the Ruby-Winter show* That was very amusing!
(Which has, the most awesome Mr. Darcy evah according to my mom and I, but my dad prefers Colin Firth. [/random fact])
*highfives* He's my favorite Mr. Darcy, too. I'm glad you agree, since everyone seems to like Firth the best.
Del! How wonderful to see you in the Square.
Happy, happy belated birthday, Eusy! I trust you had a fantabulous birthday?
*waves to Dennie* You're back! But are you back to stay?
That was a very skimmy catch up. But I'm detirmened to keep up with the Square more!

Good mortereve all!
It's been almost two weeks I last posted in here! Sorry, but I've been busy!
My dad got a job last week!! Praise the Lord! He will be the office manager for the water company.
Thank you all for your prayers! They mean a lot to me!! (For those of you who don't know, my dad lost his job about four months ago.)
Annnnd, we found out that my oldest sister is going to have twins!!! A boy and a girl! She's due in about December, so I'll be busy around then, but I will be sure to post pictures (
) and be around as much as I can.
I'm participating in NaNoWriMo this month, so I'm busy doing that now. It's going pretty well so far, but we'll see.
I hope that everyone is doing well!!
Now, it's is time for my ketchup post.
[My Sunday] was awesome! I had a fantastic time.
That evening we went to a free concert by the "Bontrager Family" as well... Which was also enjoyable...
That's great!! I'm glad that you had fun!

You are, Djaq?
I must admit that I never stay up late myself...I'm usually asleep by 9:30 or so.
I just can't seem to get to sleep sometimes, but it's not bad.
Yes, Djaq, Persuasion does seem to a drag a bit in the beginning. If it wasn't for my sister, I might not have finished it.
Mmm hmm, I'm glad that I finished it too!
How has school been for you lately?
hey, Djaq!!

Uh-huh. I'm glad to hear it.

I'm kidding, I'm sure you'd pick something fine. But, hey, flam's idea is a good one. Where shall we start?

Yes, it's sad. But this isn't obvious.
I'm... um... considering waiting until the very last moment so I can win with an incredibly lame entry...
(Actually, I bet the judges have the prerogative to only award the prize if they think the entry so deserving.
)
Thankfully, we had more than one entry!
I'm so glad you liked Persuasion!
Are you planning on watching the adaptations?
I really want to watch them, but I haven't gotten to go to the library since I finished the book. Is there one in particular that you recommend?
A belated congrats to your Dad on his birthday!
I hope it went well!
Yes, it did go well! Thank you!
On the topic of Persuasion, I do hope you can see one of the movie versions soon!
Thankfully, you don't have too many versions to pick and choose from, in the area that if there's many good adaptations, it's harder, of course. While I don't like the 2007 version as much (I personally felt the quality was less than the 1995 one...) it's still not horrible and there's some good acting on Anne's part.
But I love the 1995 one.
Very much so.
Will you let us know which one you see, when you see it?
I'm so glad you enjoyed the story, admittedly it's taken a while for me to fully appreciate the depth of it, I think that was in part to first reading it when I was one or two years younger and getting lost and confused as to the way it was written and such, but now I've come to appreciate it more.
[/end ramble]
I quite enjoyed your ramble (as you called it )!
Yes, I will be sure to let you know when I've had a chance to see the adaptations (which I will hopefully do soon!).
