Mortereve all!
Ah! How do you guys post so many pages in just one day?! This makes my ketchup even longer!
EP, I love the new NarniaWeb. Yeah, the quote boxs are cool! I also adore the new smilies.
CS, I would love to meet all my NarniaWeb friends too. That would be so much fun.
Hi Lissa! Good to see you in the Town Square.
Oh Djaq, amusement parks are always lots of fun! I love water rides.
Hey MA! What's up?
You're welcome, The Torch!
Lady Arwen! Hello! How are you doing?
Miss Rose, I love the new smilies too! They're so cute!
Finally! All done. But I shouldn't be complaining about ketchup, especially if you compare my posts to the huge ones that you guys write!
Our yard looks so empty without our birdfeeder. Wednesday morning I looked out the window and saw that our birdfeeder post had been smashed to the ground. We'd had three birdfeeders hanging on the post, and one of them was gone. My dad said it had to have been a bear that smashed the birdfeeder post and carried away one of the birdfeeders, because nothing else could have been strong enough. Kinda scary to think about...
I'm so glad today's Saturday. No school! Yes! *is happy* Lol.

starkat i never new any of that. I thought it was just a place to go for posting stuff about your day and randomness.
Anyway hi everyone i haven't posted in ditto town for a while.
I am never going to play soccer again. I like was getting ready to kick the ball hard and i kicked someones leg and my foot still hurts over 24 hours later.
good night all
No worries Lady A. I haven't done this in a long time. One thing about saving these to anything involving the Role Play.... Ditto Town in the story is laid out quite a bit differently than the role play ditto town and so are the surrounding areas. I don't know if that'll affect your records.
ILF, I haven't posted these in awhile. These story shorts are from 2004 & 2005. I think Earel's the only other member who wrote some of these who is still around on a regular basis.
The Town Square has been many things over the years. I remember well the LotR and Les Miserabe discussions. And then there was the time when the ditto story was actually a part of this thread. That ended at the end of the third story.
Mortereve all!!
I am horribly behind in here. I should stick around more.
Anyways, how've y'all been?
I've been doing pretty well. I've a feeling that today will be long. It should be fun though. We're having some friends over to go swimming then to eat dinner. Dinner will be fabulous (even if I do say so myself)
Oh darn! The emoticons are coded instead of actually being pictures.....interesting

How do you think their leg feels?

Let me guess, you're going to make it, right? Can't imagine how I knew.

FF, is that lys's favourite version of Persuasion? The one I concocted a plot to get my sister to read Persuasion for so she'd want to see it too? (Unfortunately, it seems that Persuasion is her least favourite Austen novel so far. )
* screams and retreats out of the Town Square to the safety of the Cavern Tavern, Fountain, Mansion, Library and Inn Between *
Ehh, I'm not sure the Mansion is very safe right now. If you come back, I'll tell you about lefse. It's a potato flat bread, and often comes out around Christmas time. It is nummy-licious! It's flaky but flexible, and if you put butter and brown sugar on a warm piece it's even better.
*enjoys the peek back into Ditto History* Only one more, kat?
But, they're very low quality-wise, right?
I suppose that depends on what you're trying to describe by quality... The sets are gorgeous, the costumes are nice... I'm not a film connoisseur, but I think the camera work wasn't any different from other films made about that time. The soundtrack is excellent. The colour pallet isn't as nice as the new films... *shrug*
Ti'ana, are you going to tell us about the dinner?

Then, is it just the special effects that are low-quality? And, from the pictures I've seen, the casting isn't great either.

Good mortereve all!
Well, I'm not going to do a ketchup post at the moment, but I just got some really big news about 5 minutes ago...
My sister is pregnant!!! She's 10 weeks along! My mom's on the phone with her right now. I'm really surprised, and very happy!! She had a miscarriage earlier this year, and I think that she was due in October, so this is really neat! Sorry, I'm rambling, but I'm kind of shocked right now.
Well...football season starts today!
I hope you are all having a fabulous Saturday!

Mortereve, all!
This is my first post on the new forum, so forgive me for any major errors.
My account had issues yesterday, so I didn't end up getting it to transfer til today. But, I have been lurking and trying to figure it out here. I think I'll like it once I get used to it. I really miss the old emoticons, though.
And, I can't seem to get my color to work appropriately. Edit: I think I've got it. . .
Anyways, I'm heading out for awhile, but I'll be back late this afternoon/early this evening.
Mortereve!
EDIT: Djaq, that's wonderful about your sister! Congratulations!

*Appears* Ok, here I am for about 9-10 pages of catchup... or less, depending on... "real life" work and such. 😉
--Aaaaaand. Now it's about 2-3 hours later. And I've still written nothing.
Have you ever learned to play the violin, Queen Susan, or just tried? I think it's a beautiful instrument also. But then again, that probably has something to do with the fact that I play it.
Never learned or took lessons. Just screeched away at it once in a while when I had the chance at a friends house or something. *laugh* But I'd love to learn.
QS, I was thinking it was a comic strip.
Oh, ok. Sorry.
Personal experience is a great proof. However, if you're debating logically with someone, that argument doesn't stand up too well. There are many things that make FF better, though.
I know. Earlier when I wrote "The only proof I have is personal experience", my brother read it and loudly disagreed. "What?!? Are you kidding me? There are so many ways it's better! Such as...bla, bla, bla, bla, etc." Though he didn't use those exact words. 😉
QUEEN SUSAN!!!! You're back!! Yay, I'll go answer your PMs after I finish this, then. Anyway, it's really good to see you again. I'm glad you had a lovely vacation!
I'm actually scheduled to be the next Mod of the Week (and I'm SOOO excited!!!), but I think I'm going to wait until everything gets settled down with the new forum, so my thread won't get lost. So maybe sometime next week, or the next. I can hardly wait!
Aw, thanks, I'm glad to be back!! 😀
And hooray!!! I'm sooo excited too! Maybe not as much as you are... but I've been looking forward to you being the MotW, and.. pretty soon you will be! 😀
We found out accidentally, a couple weeks ago, that we were both born and "grew up" in the same town. I lived there until I was 7, anyway. Which is really neat. So we adopted each other.
Wow! Neat! *laugh* Oh, and I did know that you weren't REALLY siblings... 😉 Really though, that is neat!
I like your new avatar, Queen Susan! Very lovely!
Thank you, FF!! *waves*
Yeah... I miss seeing Ben around!! Eru is definitely alive haha she just hasn't come into the square of late. Btw, she changed her username! It still starts with "Eru" but I'm not sure of the rest.
*laugh* Yeah, I noticed Eru changed her name... But I don't know what it is either. And I was justgetting used to how to spell her full name! LOL.
You're fine with starting school, QS? My mom probably wishes I were that way. LOL Btw, love your avatar.
*laugh* Yeah, I'm kind of looking forward to it. That'll only last a few days/weeks though. *laugh* And thank you!
Uh er, are you sure that's John Cooper in your av? It looks like Anna Popplewell to me. (JK) And finally! I know the lead singer's name!
*Laugh* Well, obviously I switched. 😉 And yep, that's his name. Korey is his wife's name. I think she might do keyboard. Then there's Ben Kasica (or something) and Jen Ledger, their newest, the drummer and most of the background vocals in "Awake" are hers.
Oh, and "Alien Youth" is a few years old, so I thought you might have heard it, but I guess not.
Let's say this: it isn't necessarily a 'Christian' band. It's a band with Christian's in it. The same goes for Skillet.
Yep. On "Awake", they put their "thanks" on the back, and before anyone else, they all thank the Lord for what He's given them. Then they go on to thank family and friends, etc. 😉
Congrats on the long post, Ed P! 😉
one of the first songs she taught me was Heart and Soul!! We played it so much, my Mom got sick of it and now she doesn't let us play it!
*laugh* Yeah, I've played that one so much that I'm sick of it too.
LOL! Aw, c'mon, Farmville's amazing. You have to admit that. (Okayokay, it isn't...but it's fuuun!) Actually, I'd like to move to a real farm. I'm saving up FarmvilleCoins for this purpose. Ooh, you should play them! Play Farmville!
*cough* Sadly, I'm almost tempted to play them. 😉 I don't know if it's a good temptation though. 😉 *wink* Haha. I've played dumber games though, I'm sure.
Happy Birthday Betsie!
WHAT?!?!?!? I missed this? *cries* That's so sad! *sniffs* I can't believe it!
*dries tears* *sighs* Well... I guess... better late then never. *shoulders slump slightly* Anyway.
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, BETSIE!!!!!!!! YOU ARE REALLY AWESOME!! 😉
*Is still sad she missed it.* Oh well. That's what I get for not going online for 2-3 days.
*arrives at the new square*
Ellesar! I haven't seen you around for a long time! I guess I "hang out" different places or something...
Hey - the hug smiley is now readily available!
*laugh* That IS a good thing, which I also noticed!!
And I've realized looking at this new forum that along with changing the forums and some names, lots of people have changed their avatars too. All at once. 😉 I have to glance at the names a lot now. 😉
*waves to Meltintalle*
CSLN, your avatar says "The End"... is the picture from a certain thing?
Oh, and all these "Team James" avatars and signatures are so hilarious... They make me laugh all the time.
Kat a.k.a. Miss Aravis, isn't the 10thAveN concert today?? Have a stupendous time!!!
That's so exciting, DJ!!!!! 😀 *grins* What wonderful news!! I hope the pregnancy goes smoothly this time!! Is this her second one then, or did she already have some children? Anyway... Congratulations, Aunt DJ! 😉 J/K
*waves wildly to ~LL~* 😀 Hey! Great to see you around again!!
Anyway... That's all for catchup! *laugh* I'll talk to you all later!!
*hopes the codes in this post work*
Edit: Oops, did the wrong "quote" code. *Fixes* Much better.

Well, I think I'm finally settling into this new forum. I know, it has only been a day, but yesterday was really quite a shock. In fact I was so upset at the look of the forum that I told one of my family members that I was going to quit NarniaWeb and never get back on. Needless to say, they shouldn't take me at my word. So, yeah, I'm trying have an open mind and just get used to the change. (I did find out that we can still access our File Manager and PM box on the old forum )
Well, college football started today, and I was excited to root for my team. They won, if any of you were wondering.
The last Driver's Ed class where I had to drive was over on Thursday. (Sorry, that emoticon just reminded me of myself driving a car)

Ugh, I don't think the new NW like me or my laptop. It kept sending me to the archived site whenever I would try and get on here. *sigh* Anyway, I'm around now for a little bit.
We went into town earlier this afternoon and went to a little coffee shop that we frequent and got something to drink before we went to the mall and the grocery store. That was a mouthful!
@ NN. As you can read above, my Saturday is going great!
Oh yeah, to answer your soundtrack question last night (which I only noticed just now....): Howard Shore scored "The Fly". It was one of his earlier works with David Cronenberg. Jerry Goldsmith scored "Alien". So, you were partly right in thinking Goldsmith did one of the scores.
*waves cheerily to Djaq, Princess and LL*
@ LL. It's great to have you on the new forum!

Ah, well better than being completely wrong. Not sure why I thought Jerry Goldsmith did The Fly. Anyway, I've only heard of those, I don't know anything about them.
Well, I'm off. Mortereve all!
EDIT: I just looked back at the old forum, and it looked a little funny to me. That's a great sign meaning that this forum is becoming more normal to me.

Ah! We (the Royal family this time, and NOT the Royal We) have just been treated to a repast of Some Sort of Soup (lentil, I believe), homemade Irish brown bread (made from fresh whole wheat, ground by Lady A and Prince Cor, fine lad that he is), followed with a bit of cheese and fruit. Splendid!
"Brrrrrrrrrrrrp!!"
